Can someone provide some iTunes match answers please?

We have all our music uploaded on the imac and it is shared over homw sharing so that our iphones, ipads and apple tv can access the shared account - using my apple id.
My wife has her own apple id and downloads music to her store all the time which is then stored on the shared element of the hard drive and thus accessible by me also. I know this to be true as she downloaded a particular song - the Snake by Alan Wilson and I can access it too.
I am just about to sell all our physical cd's to music magpie and wanted to ask some questions before i sign up to match.
Some of the Sting and Van Morrisson versions are corrupted and won't play in itunes. Shall I re-upload them from the cd or will match correct this?
If we continue to share our music to the shared drive on the imac will match be agreeable to this and correct them / make them available to both accounts and particularly the hoem shared account?
Will it improve the quality on some of the ones i have been given to me by friends - about 1 percent as we are particular about the stuff which goes in here but some of the stuff from when the kids were little has been copied?

Hi,
To answer points 1 & 3. If the songs are "Matched" you will be able download Matched versions.
If you have corrupt songs I doubt whether they will be matched, so it is advisable to re-import the tracks as either 256 kpbs AAC or 256 kpbs MP3.
Point 2 - Match is a single user account.

It's always a good idea to supply platform and AI version info.
How are you "converting" the file? Are you choosing "Save As" and selecting PDF from the file format options? This will bring up additional save options. I would suggest "Illustrator Default" setting unless you have specific needs.

Hi, hope some (cleverer than I) person can help. I have a nano - working off laptop with XP home. I upgraded to latest itunes and now whenever I start itunes it freezes and if I open task manager it shows itunes as 'not responding'. I have reset the nano and ensured it has latest operating software on board. I have even got rid of all music files from laptop. I have tried (several times) removing itunes completely (including those files that do not get deleted by a standard 'undelete') and still this problem persists. It all worked fine prior to this ******* latest itunes download ****. Why are apple such greedy tossers? Please help if you can I am so ****** off.

Dont know if this will help or not do you have norton security. if so follow this
have found a solution that works for me with windows XP. First restart the computer and don't start up itunes. Open Norton Internet Security and click on Status and Settings. Then click on personal firewall and then click on Configure, and click on the Programs tab. Scroll through the list of programs until you have goten to Apple itunes. Change the interntet Access to Permit All. Once you have saved these settings start up itunes. That worked for me. Please tell me if this helps anyone.

I dont know abt the internal tables but for other 2 queries i can give answers for best of my knowledge..
2a) After setting Bex reporting flag on the ods objects creates sid tables so it degrades reporting performance so that we always use infoset query to report on ods..
3a) Data loading performance can be improved by
1)disabling indices
2)PSA partitioning on required datapacket size
3)Line Item dimensions as there will be no dim table between fact table and sid table ..

Welcome to the Apple Community.
I'm not sure what there is to tell. Just use the Apple ID you wish to share to log into the iTunes store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores) and the seperate Apple ID's you want to use for iCloud (Settings > iCloud)

So it appears you have only one library on the hard drive. Apply the two fixes below in order as needed to that library:
Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - run Option #4 to rebuild the database.

Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Instructions to get the phone back working temporary.. till there is a real fix.
1. turn off the phone
2. fire up iTunes
3. press and hold the home button, plug in the cable, hold till you get to see the recovery mode
4. iTunes will the allow to choose restore the phone back to 5.0.1 ( no other choice)
5. iTunes will then ask you to choose which previous backup to would like to recover.
(note: please do not reboot your phone unless necessary, i realize at times after reboot, it goes back to sq1)

I had started my service in February of 2013. February of 2014, I was told that I would be getting my deposit back around May 2014. I was good with that, I added 2 more lines to my plan for that ONE reason, that I was getting it back or credited to my account. Around April 27-28th, not sure of exact date, I spoke to someone in financial services department and I was told that my deposit should be applied around May 7,2014. She then set up a payment arrangement for May 7, for my bill. On May 9, I called and spoke to someone else in financial services, where I was told my deposit got pushed back to August 2014 because of a returned check, which is ACTUALLY A CANCELLED PAYMENT MADE BY ME, because the amount that was scheduled was smaller than the actual amount. The next 2 days I made payments for the GREATER amount. I requested to speak to someone in the treasury department, and was told there is NOT a direct line to them, they can only be contacted by email, which I could NEVER find an email for them or for the corporate office to speak to someone higher up. I called AGAIN this morning to get a number or email and I was given the number to ANOTHER CALL CENTER, and was NOT able to get anything resolved!! I am fed up, and DONE WITH VERIZON WIRELESS. I HAVE ALREADY PLACED AN ORDER WITH ANOTHER CARRIER, AND I AM TERMINATING MY CONTRACT WITH VERIZON. I just sent an enhancement request to Apple regarding the lack of a feature to clearly show which music is has been downloaded and saved to an iOS device, please read the request I sent and consider sending yours to Apple also:
Hi, for those of us who are iTunes Match sibscribers and who don't have all-you-can-eat data plans on our iOS devices, the best option is to download the music we plan on listening to while we're on the move before we leave home.
At the moment there is no easy way to find music downloaded to an iOS device from iTunes Match.
Please either add a field within the iOS Music app titled 'downloaded from iTunes Match' or simply, 'iTunes Match', which could be selected alongside 'Songs', 'Compilations', 'Genres' etc, or add a field to Smart Playlists in iTunes which would also allow you to see which songs have been downloaded from iTunes Match and are available to play without a network connection.

HT204406 iTune 11556 error message! Just finish uploading my music and can't connect to iTune match!

After purchasing iTune Match & almost finishing uploading 2500 songs, I can't connected to iTune match from either my Macmini or iPad. It gives me the 11556 error message. Anyone encountered the same problem and have any clue how to fix it please.

I've been experiencing the same problem for the past month. I thought that it might be my older 3rd generation apple TV, so I purchased a new one yesterday. Hooked the new one up this morning and I'm experiencing the same problems. I've rebooted the apple tv a few times which doesnt really seem to help. I'm guessing it has something to do with my home network. I took the Apple TV to the beach with me last week and didn't get any error loading problems. I guess now I just need to figure out what I need to change on my network to hopefully remedy this problem. ugh, it's always something.
