Once you have selected your sync options in iTunes, such as what music or videos you want to transfer, the Apply button should be in the bottom right hand corner of the window. For more information on syncing iOS devices, you may find the following article helpful:

There is no limit to how many iPods can run on a single PC. Or how many PCs a single iPod can connect to. Either by Apple design or by any legal issues.

I have a 292MHZ G3 Wallstreet with a 466 MHZ aftermarket CPU card installed. 392Mb of RAM. Running OS 9.22. What version of iTunes will run? I installed version 2.something and it appears to do everything I need (load songs off a CD into the library). However, when I connect the 3rd gen iPod via a USB cable (into the USB 2.0 PCMCIA card), absolutely nothing happens. I have a rather late version of the iPod updater installed on the POD AND it is formatted for a PC. What version of the updater will work with this hardware, this OS, this iPod, etc.? One of the Apple support documents said I needed to run firewire in a non OS X machine for it to connect to iTunes. I am O.K. using an "old" version of the updater and going out and buying a firewire PCMCIA card. Once I can actually get some updater to run, I am fine with reformatting the Pod. No, I don't want to spend hours/days upgrading to OS X or buy $1000 worth of new hardware. Anyone actually done this connection successfully?

Great. So I have to either install OS X, or buy a new mcahine. Can OS X run on a G3 without grinding to a halt?
By the way, I cannot get the iPod to even mount when connected via firewire. The USB/firewire PCMCIA card does not have drivers for OS 9. I thought that this support was built into OS 9. The USB port works (although the iPod will not mount when connected via USB either). Any ideas?
