Can someone tell me why we are getting this error message when users try to open?

It was created in LiveCycle and Reader Extensions were given before posting it to the website.  Normally if you open in Firefox or IE, it will work (sometimes).

We would also really appreciate an answer to this question.  We are having the exact same issue with some new forms we have created.  They were created in Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES4, and then usage rights were extended in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.
When this issue is encountered we send the old version of the form, it was created using the same process a number of years ago, so the only difference is that we were using older versions of both programs.  The same recipients who have an issue with the new form are always able to open the old forms.
Help!  Does anyone have a solution. Thanks very much!

  • Why am I getting this error message when I try to open a photo in Preview?

    I am getting the following message when I try to open a photo in Preview. I have searched for possible solutions and nothing works for me. I have always used Preview to edit photos.

    Repairing the permissions of a home folder in Lion is a complicated procedure. I don’t know of a simpler one that always works.
    Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the page that opens.
    Drag or copy — do not type — the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
    chmod -R -N ~
    The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. When a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) appears below what you entered, it’s done. You may see a few error messages about an “invalid argument” while the command is running. You can ignore those. If you get an error message with the words “Permission denied,” enter this:
    sudo !!
    You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up.
    Next, boot from your recovery partition by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
    When the recovery desktop appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar.
    In the Terminal window, enter “resetpassword” (without the quotes) and press return. A Reset Password window opens. You’re not going to reset the password.
    Select your boot volume if not already selected.
    Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
    Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select  ▹ Restart from the menu bar.

  • Error Message regarding Facetime: I am getting this error message when I try to open Facetime on my iMac desktop "This beta version of FaceTime has expired." What does it mean? How do I get it to work again?

    I am getting this error message when I try to open Facetime on my iMac desktop "This beta version of FaceTime has expired." What does it mean? How do I get it to work again?

    The Beta version of Facetime is a free test/trial version that Apple placed on some computers in the past.  It has expired -- to get a working Facetime version back you must go to the App store and purchase "Facetime for Mac" which will cost you 99 cents.

  • I keep getting this error message when I try to open a project?

    Projects created with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Premiere Elements are not compatibe. Please use the appropriate application to open this project.
    I have tryed to open old projects/start new and just keep getting this message.
    Thanks in advance for the help.

    Thanks for the follow up. Let us go through the usual drill for users of Premiere Elements 8 (not too old from my point of view).
    1. Are you working from the 8.0.1 Update of the program? That is very important for everyday performance of the version.
    2. Do you have the automatic features of Background Rendering and AutoAnalyzer turned off. Very important since they are major grabbers of computer resources. Both are in preferences, Background Rendering in the Premiere Elements workspace Edit Menu/Preferences/General and AutoAnalyzer in the Elements Organizer workspace Edit Menu/Preferences/AutoAnalzyer options.
    3. Let us try flushing the preferences...the path for Windows 8 64 bit would be
    Local Disk C
    Users
    Owner
    AppData
    Roaming
    Adobe
    Premiere Elements
    8.0
    and in the 8.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. If that does not do the job, the delete the whole 8.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs exists.
    Make sure to be working from Folder Options Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path.
    I did not see anything in Hunt's link that cited your error message specifically. It appeared to be an overall troubleshooting article on damaged projects. I did not go down that path since you said that you are having the error message problem with new as well as old projects.
    About 3 years ago, I worked with another Premiere Elements 8 user with this same error message. In that case, it spontaneous disappeared. When you get this error message, does it present with an OK or Continue button? This problem has been reported before here and with Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1. In each case, the core of the problem was left undefined.
    Looking forward to your follow up.
    Thanks.

  • I'M GETTING THIS ERROR MESSAGE WHEN I TRY TO OPEN THE ITUNES

    im getting this message when i try to open my itunes "the itune library. itl file it's locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have write permission for this file" it was was working fine but all of a sudden it this issue just happen, i have windows 7.

    I had the same problem as mentioned above. 2 Users, sharing the same iTunes account. Found following solution:
    Check sharing and permission for the shared iTunes folder. In my case under HD->Users->Shared->iTunes
    Also check all permissions of the underlying folders and especially *iTunes Library Database file*. In my case directly in the iTunes directory
    For whatever reason, that file had no sharing. I added my wife's user name with Read /Write permission and it works again.
    I guess a bug in the update. It worked fine for a long time before the update.

  • Please can someone tell me why I am getting this error?

    I want to call a method (setSquare()) when a JLabel is clicked by the user, the following code should work:
    *private void grid11MouseClicked(java.awt.event.MouseEvent evt) {*

    But I get this error, please can someone tell me what this means? The method is already defined in the class and I have imported javax.swing etc
    Frame.java:181: setSquare(javax.swing.JLabel) in p1.Frame cannot be applied to ()

    As i dont know what that method needs i can't help you there but i do know you cannot leave it blank. Try adding a number/text whatever or null and see what it does. or check the api and take a look what it needs.

  • I am getting this error message when i try to open FF "ug-in object: TypeError: Components.classes[cid] is undefined"

    This is the error message I get when i click to open FF after i downloaded the newest version: "ug-in object: TypeError: Components.classes[cid] is undefined" . The message is in the top left corner and not fully visible. i sent a message a few min ago so i am sending this b/c i copied the error message to help diagnose the problem.

    This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
    Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    See:

  • Can someone tell me why i am getting this error

    helo, I am trying to write 3 seperate classes and use inheritence between them, a small brek down is class Thought is suppose to have a method messege that prints out "I'm a teacher" and slass Advice is suppose to be a subclass of Thought and suppose to have the same method ut to print out "I'm your student" and class Message is suppose to have a main method that instantiates the two other classes and makes them work. I have written the code, this should have been simple, but these are the errors i am getting when compiling Messeges:
    Messages.java [14:1] variable thought might not have been initialized
    output =thought.Message() + "\n" +advice.Message();
    ^
    Messages.java [14:1] variable advice might not have been initialized
    output =thought.Message() + "\n" +advice.Message();
    Here is the code"
    public class Thought{
    protected String message="";
    public String Message()
        message="I'm a teacher.";
        return message;
    }//end class
    public class Advice extends Thought{
    private String message="";
    public String Message()
    message="I'm your student.";
        return message;
    }//end class
    import javax.swing.JOptionPane;
    public class Messages
        public static void main(String args[])
    Thought thought;
    Advice advice;
    String output="";
    output =thought.Message() + "\n" +advice.Message();
    JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null,output,"Inheritence",
    JOptionPane.INFORMATION_MESSAGE);
    System.exit(0);
    }//end main
    }//end classAny help would be appreciated.

    Hi,
    I had gone through the code you have posted and I agree with atmguy that the errors that were thrown were due to the fact that you have not initialized the objects from the main method. You have to use the new keyword to inityialize the objects that you are creating.
    Secondly you have stated that you have used inheritance and created three classes. But I find that the inheritance has not been practised at all. Try removing the "extends Thought" portion and then also your code would work just fine. It is as good as creating two seprate classes and using them from a third containing the main function. Hope this clears all your querries.
    cheers
