Can song Genre be changed?

When I'm browsing "genres" I have noticed that not all songs from the same genre are being grouped together. When I look under Christmas, at first it said there was one song. Now it says there are 4 Artist, 5 Albums. I know I have at least 25 Christmas songs.
It does seem to be gathering info, as the song count has changed, but is there another way? Some even have the word Christmas in the title or prefaced before the song title. I'm not sure how it is picking what it deems to be "Christmas". Is making a playlist my only option?
I have also noticed that the "Genius" isn't that much of a Genius. It has Shania Twain following Glenn Miller How in the world would those two artists or song style go together?

You can change the Genre of a particular track in iTunes by right->clicking on the track and selecting the Get Info option. Then head to the Info tab and use the drop down list to choose a Genre.
As to Genius being a little funky, I have had some of the same issues, but fiddling around with a track's meta data to better match the actual album and track info has helped.

1. Don't confuse "Apple ID" with iTunes Account ID. You can have many Apple IDs but only one iTunes account active at a time.
2. If you "changed" your iTunes account ID, you actually have 2 accounts - one under the old name plus the new name.
3. You can't merge the accounts - they remain separate. Apps purcahsed under the old account name will update ONLY WHEN THE PHONE IS SIGNED IN TO THE OLD ACCOUNT NAME and visa versa.
4. Likewise, you can sync only the apps, music, media purchased under the account the phone AND iTunes are signed in to.

Also, you need to have activated the computer for use with itunes. Why that's not done when you install is a mystery.
Because you don't need an iTunes account tio use or install iTunes.
You cannot authorize the computer until you have an account because that's what you are authorizing.
Note, you can only have 5 active computers, but you can deactivate all of them.
You can have 5 computers authorized at any one time. You can only select Deauthorize all when you do hae 5 authorized and you can only do it one time per year.
Next, create/update your itunes account.
Again you cannot "activate" (which is authorize) unless you have an iTunes account. So you cannot authorize iTunes and then create an iTunes account.

It sounds like you are needing to activate your Apple ID with FaceTime on the Mac. Try these steps from the following article named:

ONE song refuses to change using Get Info

This one's a bit weird... I have one song that refuses to change even though I've modified the Artist name, tried to remove the artwork and change the genre. At first it shows the change (and even appears to have moved the file from one artist-name folder to the correct one). Then, I look back at the file and it's back where it was originally!
Not sure if it has anything to do with it, but I've also noticed that the artwork wasn't full (the bottom half is all grey). I've actually tried deleting and reimporting the song but with the same result.
I did a quick search for this issue but didn't see any posts that looked like they addressed this. I don't use artwork, however my next try will be to add a different cover just to see if I can then make the changes stick.
I have over 25,000 songs that will keep the changes I make, why am I getting stuck on this one???

Ok, no idea why this kept happening in iTunes, but I was able to change the tags using a different audio program then import that version into iTunes and the changes stayed...

Updated to 9.2.1, now when I play a track, the Genre magically changes...

I dutifully upgraded to 9.2.1 through Software Update yesterday, and clicked around a few tracks just to make sure everything still played properly.
They did, but on each track I clicked, the Genre changed to "(17)" from, say "Rock", "R&B", etc...
Anyone else experience that and have a fix???

I'm experiencing the same thing, except it doesn't always change, just when I play a song from any of the Genius Mixes. But the exact same symptoms: Rock genre gets changed to (17), etc.

Scramble song title even changing the ID3 tag

Song title is all scramble up after adding in to Itunes.. why ? espcially the chinese charactors....

1. Select the song you want to edit, then choose File > Get Info.
2. Click Info.
3. Make your changes to the song information, then click OK.
By default, changing information in iTunes also changes the name of the song on your hard disk. To make changes in iTunes without changing the files on your hard disk, choose iTunes > Preferences, then click the Advanced button and click General. Then click to remove the checkmark next to Keep iTunes Music Folder Organized.
You can also make global changes by selecting a group of songs the key board short cut of CMD-I (Apple Key +I).

When I use Firefox and Hotmail at startup, Firefox freezes for about 1 minute, and then I can continue. First I though it was my computer but 2 other girls in my class have the same problem with Hotmail and Firefox. What can I do to change this?

When I start Firefox, about 15 seconds after I start it, my Firefox freezes for about 1 minute. I found out that it is my Hotmail that makes Firefox freeze.
First I thought it was my computer, but I have 2 other girls in my class that use Hotmail and Firefox and their computer also freezes for 1 full minute.
This is very annoying, what can I do to change this?

Wow! I think I had this same issue just last night.
I was cleaning my macbook pro retina on the outside. Then I opened it up and was wiping dust off the monitor and I can't pinpoint exactly when, but the colors changed suddenly. It looked super strange, it was like green halo's and it looked worse when looking at it at an angle. Of course I took no pictures!!! I was freaking out that my 2 grand laptop was busted and I somehow removed a protective film or something.
But I digress... The image looked very green and spacey, it was almost a neat effect. After about 5 minutes it started to look a little more digital though. There were straight lines of this halo effect on the edges and top. After about 10 minutes it turned into a predominate issue with the blacks on screen. I could open a web browser and it was unnoticable on a white background. After about 15 minutes, you could only barely see the green cloud effect if you looked at the monitor from an extreme angle. After about 20 minutes, it was completely back to normal, I almost feel paranoid like I see a halo or something strange. But I believe that might be all in my head now.
So yerp, lemme know what you guys figure out.

You can export the Pages document to Word or text instead of Pages but I advise you to first save the document in the native Pages format. Still best is if you reciever get the applicationif you are going to do a lot of editing on documents.
About setting the computer etc. I don't know what the person was thinking off.

How can I display a changing variable in a subvi on the front panel of the main vi as the subvi is excuting

In the document attached the vi on the right is sub to the vi on the left. On the subvi on the right the variable "Field Reading" is continuously updated on the front panel of the subvi as the "for" loop is executed, but only the last value of the variable is updated on the main vi front panel which is what is expected. My question is how can I display the changing value of "Field Reading" on the main vi front panel as the "for" loop in the subvi is running?

Hopefully I can explain it well enough. It really is simple.
1) Create an empty global variable and call it something like User Interface References.vi
2) For each and every control and indicator on your front panel, right-click and select Create/Reference
3) Place these references wherever you like (I use a series of Event cases to perform my initialisation and these all live in one of these event cases). They can be placed anywhere in the main vi.
4) For each of the references, right-click and select Create/Indicator
5) Moving to the front panel, Cut all the indicators and Paste them in the global variable (eg. User Interface References.vi)
6) Moving back to the block diagram, wire the global variable to each of the references and select the same named global variable.
All the hard work is now done (until you add another user interface terminal). You should now have something that look as shown below, [except the reference labels would be to the left (not sure why the snippet put them above)]. In my latest program I have 82 references!
Done. You can now access all your front panel controls and indicators anywhere in your program as shown below.
You can just select Value in most cases, but in this particular case I wanted to fire off an Event to do some things (log the alarm) as well as just update the value. So, this is another bonus with the method.
Hopefully this all makes sense. If not, let me know.

Welcome to the Apple community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add a new account by tapping the "create Apple ID" button. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
