Can the Spotlight search box be configured to search only for Comments in Get Info as the default? I know that I can add a line to the search parameters that will search there. But, I'm most interested in searching for tags than for words throughout a document. When I would need to do that, I could always add a line to the search parameters.

Can I export the data collected in a PDF Form to a Word Template?

I work in the legal field and constantly have to draft the same legal documents over and over. I would like to creat a form that allows me to collect the data I fill in as well as export that data into the word templates for legal document drafts. Is this possible?

How can I store Templates that will show on New/Template

I downloaded a couple of templates -- one of them in zip
format. I expanded
them and placed them in /templates in a folder of their own.
Prior to that,
the Templates folder had three folders: images,
video_controls and video
player.
Where does Dreamweaver store the templates that are available
when you click
on file/new document/templates ? Not that there are any
selectable at the
present time. Where are you supposed to store imported web
templates?
Dreamweaver 8 for Windows and Mac.

If the file does not have a *.dwt extension (or contain
*.dwt.* in its
filename), it is not a DW Template.
If it is a DW Template, it must be placed in a folder called
Templates that
is at the root level of the site. There must be no other
files or folders
in this Templates folders, other than the *.dwt files
themselves.
It sounds like what you downloaded is NOT a DW template.

Letters to be auto generated via Word templates

Hi Experts,
We are trying to auotmate the letter generation through dynamic actions in PA30. e.g. We want to generate the appointment letter in word document after completion of the hiring action. We have customised a new infotype and the sub type under the same. We have uploaded the word template in OAER also. But we are not able to generate the letter after completion of the action. Can someone let us know where we are going wrong. It would be of great help if someone can give the list of the steps to be followed.

Can I make the spotlight search on my iweb website search through comments

I just recently created a website using iweb. I was wondering if anyone knows how to make the spotlight search on my blog page search within the comments of that page or the whole site? That would be the best way, but I would also consider generating an internal search engine for the site through google, ect... if anyone has any information on either off these topics I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Spotlight won't do, .mac blog comments are stored on server side.
Spotlight only works when things get indexed and spotlight can't index them.
don't think google site search will do either..

How do I delete Templates? I search for the templates with finder, in library, applications, logic, project templates. But, I can't find my templates there.

How do I search iWork documents on my iPad?

I have dozens of Numbers files and when I search they are not returned, also no option in Spotlight to index iWork docs.

I think you answered your own question. I do not use Numbers but I do use Pages. There is no way to search the files in Pages either. You can sort the documents by name or by date. I imagine that Numbers works the same way. What you see is what you get in Spotlight. You cannot add new categories to the search function.

Error in Search results - Sorry, something went wrong. Display template had an error

I'm receiving this error in custom search results page in our SharePoint 2013 Enterprise farm:
Sorry, something went wrong.
Display Error: The display template had an error. You can correct it by fixing the template or by changing the display template used in either the Web Part properties or Result Types.

I believe a similar error was resolved by March 2013 CU but our farm us running Aug 2013 CU. I have also tried adding domain to trusted zone in IE but still the same error.
I do not get this error in Google Chrome or in IE 10 or above. Not sure if it is an issue with my display template because error disappears when upgrading IE to 10 or 11.
Update: In IE 8 I can see search results with no error if the developer toolbar (F12) is enabled!

Open up the SharePoint 2013 Management Shell as Administrator
and run the following command: Enable-SPFeature SearchWebParts -url http://<central admin
url>
Use a browser on a different machine, or add you SharePoint
site(s) to the ‘Trusted Sites’ in IE.
Activate the feature : “My
Site Host“. This is a hidden feature scoped at the Site Collection level. The feature ID is 49571CD1-B6A1-43a3-BF75-955ACC79C8D8.
The feature folder under SharePointRoot is MySiteHost.

Query Variable: F4 search by Text is case sensitive in Web Templates.

I have a problem, when I am trying to search the variables in Web Templates the search by text is case sensitive.
For example If I have the customer name as "King", I have to search the text as King or Ki*, But If I search as king I will not get any results.
I need to have my text search as case insensitive.
When I checked in my BEx queries the search is case insensitive. I have the problem in my Web Templates only. Please let me know do I need to change any variable settings ing the web templates or let me know how do I fix this issue.

Hi,
So the only workaround for this would be to goto RSD1 -> enter info
-object as xxxx, and press maintain, then goto master data/text
tab and select the check box, 'with text', now save and activate the
infoobject. After this regenerate the query using tcode rsrt.
To regenerate goto rsrt enter query name and press 'generate report'
button.
Now the F4 help screen should show the options search by key and search
by text. So that you can select serach by key to have a case insensitive
search.

Custom Display template for Content Search webpart

Hi,
I am trying to customize the out of the box "slideshow" display template for content search webpart which renders Images.
By default, the slideshow display template has a fixed the image size which is very small. Is it possible to increase the dimensions of the container or control template to show a much larger image size?
Can anyone please help on how to do this?

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to increase the dimensions of the container or control template to show a much larger image size in the Content Search web part.
I recommend to create a custom Display Template (control and Item display templates) and use JQuery Slider plugin to achieve this goal.

Can Spotlight be disabled?

I use OS9 mainly (too many complaints of OSX to list). But going from 9 to X, the privacy preferences are blanked out about every third or fourth changeover, and the indexing of Spotlight slows the computer significantly.So, can Spotlight be disabled and how would it be done?

You can also try the freeware application DisableTigerFeatures. Spotless is shareware, DisableTigerFeatures is free.
You can find similar solutions by searching MacUpdate or Version Tracker. The user-submitted reviews accompanying the listings can be helpful in sorting the wheat from the chaff.

How can I add barcode to my word template for PDF ?

I must use a Barcode in my personal card template in MS word.
Barcode properties must be;
bcCode 39, checksum (enable - csmModulo10)
If I preview my template in RTF template, it works. Hovewer when I run PDF preview, I couldn't take a barcode output.

Replying to my own post - heh. I downloaded iExplorer (http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/) which allowed me access to the files on the phone and there was the phantom movie in the DCIM folder. Deleted it, and all is well - although I still have 0.65gb of Other in iTunes.....

This is a pot-boiler config file... Copy it into some file say "props.conf" and use it.
