Can streamtokenizer read this as a string 333.323.323.11.22?  SOLUTION!!!

I found the solution by searching on this site.
Proceed
inputstream.wordChars( '0', '9')
with
inputstream.ordinaryChars('0','9')
This works for me. I would appreciate if someone could explain why this works.
gc

May be you could clarify your question but ,
inputstream.wordChars( '0', '9')
means the characters between 0 and 9 are ordinary chars, and are not given special significance , u shoould read the StreamTikenizer class docs because , there are some defaults which may result in what you did not intend

  • Can streamtokenizer read this as a string 333.323.323.11.22? PART II

Please allow me to add a more general question. How can I use the streamtokenizer to read EVERTHING (all tokens) as strings without trying to differentiate between numbers and strings?
    Thanks,
    George

set them as ordinaryChar's, but a space cannot be set as an ordinary char , again read the docs

  • How can i read this response?

i hav a encrypted string subsinfo, & i forward it to dec.jsp to be decrypted & it result :
    HTTP_RESPONSE
    msisdn|firstname|lastname
how can i read this response so i can have the parameter string newsubsinfo = msisdn|firstname|lastname ?

    Hi ,
You can read request parameters and store in a Container or Global container object and use them in response mapping as per requirement .
Use Container / Global container - you can save your parameters as key value pair and retrive it using the key and attach these parameters to response structure and access them .

  • Can anyone read this Apple crash report?

    Hi everyone!
My iMac's been absolutely fine since I bought it. The Lion upgrade was smooth. I upgraded on the first day Lion became available.
In the past week, I keep getting every other day a progressive gray screen and a warning that the computer needs to restart. I've no idea what's causing the crash... it happens when I have the standard suite of apps running (Mail, iTunes, Safari, etc) so no exotic application.
Here's a crash report. Can anyone read this and pin point the problem?
    Thanks!

QuickPlayer can't read this. Can you help me, please.

Quicktime cannot read Flash files. For that you need Flash Player from Adobe.
You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player if you have it, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Yep, there was an error doing the calendar sync...There are a host of reasons:
    incompatible fields
prior versions of syncing software still on computer
    cache not cleared
calendar data in the wrong folder
too many calendars in iCal and on device....
    the list goes on

  • .ics file error : "iCal can't read this calendar file."

I would like to add my flight itinery to my iCal. Downloaded the .ics file from the BA website. When double clicking on it and dragging it to iCal this message pops up: "iCal can’t read this calendar file. No events have been added to your iCal calendar."
    file details:
    BEGIN:VCALENDAR
    PRODID:-//Ben Fortuna//iCal4j 1.0//EN
    VERSION:2.0
    CALSCALE:GREGORIAN
    METHOD:PUBLISH
    BEGIN:VEVENT
I also tried converting it to .vcs. Then iCal asks which calender I would like to add it to but still comes up with above message.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    Hi!
I managed to import the file when I deleted everything that had to do with HTML code at the end of the file. I'm not exactly sure about the purpose of this code, but deleting it left me with my flights inside my calendar, exactly as I wanted.
    HTH,
    Michael

  • "iCal can't read this calendar file. No events have been added to your iCal calendar."

How do I deal with this error message-"iCal can’t read this calendar file. No events have been added to your iCal calendar." ? .ics vs .vcs?
    Thanks

    Greetings,
What version of the Mac OS and what version of iCal are you running?
Are you using MobileMe calendars (or any other server based calendars like Google) in your iCal?
While you answer those questions you can try the following troubleshooting:
    1. First make an iCal backup:  Click on each calendar on the left hand side of iCal 1 at a time highlighting it's name and then going to File Export > Export and saving the resulting calendar file to a logical location for safekeeping.
    2. Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
    Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.ical
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache if present)
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove them all.)
---NOTE: Removing these files may remove any shared (CalDAV) calendars you may have access to. You will have to re-add those calendars to iCal > Preferences > Accounts.
Once the computer is back up and running open iCal and test.
    Hope that helps.

i have an external firwire harddrive just for the audio projects which is 7200rpm etc and it has 500gb of free space on it!
i've already tried the pmset -a sms 0 thing, but that is only for laptops, their seems to be no solition for Mac Pro Desktops!
    this is annoying.
    hope someone can help.
    Dan

and in laptops it is just working for the original builtin HD.
It shouldn't be there at all.
you set it off by (copy/paste):
    sudo pmset -a sms 0

Bug check 0x50 usually occurs after the installation of faulty hardware or in the event of failure of installed hardware (usually related to defective RAM, be it main memory, L2 RAM cache, or video RAM).
Another common cause is the installation of a faulty system service.
Antivirus software can also trigger this error, as can a corrupted NTFS volume.

Bug check 0x7F usually occurs after the installation of faulty or mismatched hardware (especially memory) or in the event that installed hardware fails.
A double fault can occur when the kernel stack overflows. This can happen if multiple drivers are attached to the same stack. For example, two file system filter drivers can be attached to the same stack and then the file system can recurse back in, overflowing the stack.
The first parameter, in your case, is 0x8, indicating a 'double-fault'
    What I would suggest:
    1) Update your video card drivers, if you haven't already.
    2) Test your memory sticks together, and individually, with >>Memtest86<<
    3) Try another video card, see if the same thing happens.
Additionally, as this appears to be a hardware issue, rather than a Windows 7 issue, I'll move to AMD64 area.

  • Why do I get "iCal can't read this calendar file. No events have been added to your iCal calendar." when I am trying to sync an Apple Workshop appointment?

I made a reservation for an Apple store workshop, but when I try to open the download in iCal (Lion) , I keep getting an "iCal cannot read this calendar file." message.  Very frustrating.  Any insights would be appreciated.

    Any help?
    Thanks!

    Thanks
And what about .js files.. this piece of code is a bridge.js file and like in HTML, isn't it possible to trace where this connects to? I mean the tags...

  • Can i send this buff to "STRING"?

now i call a tuxedo service in "STRING" model,
    tpcall("SV_STRING", (char *)sendbuf, 0L, (char **)&sendbuf,
    (long*)&rcvlen,0L);
but the sendbuf is not s simple string such as "abcdefg...",there some
NULL in the buffer, such as "abde\0deg\0..."(here \0 is NULL).
when i try this, may return "TPEINVAL - invalid arguments given",why?
may "STRING" not support this method?

    yes,i see.
in fact,i use FML32 in my system.but, there is another system built by
another company, they use "STRING",and my system has to communicate with
their system,so i have to change my parameter into a string with NULL
"\0".they gave me the document says that they use "STRING",and give me a
    example "buf = (char *) tpalloc("STRING", NULL, len);",so i felt very
strange. anyway,i will decide what to do after get their system interface .
what you said is really helpful, thanks.

    fish,
I presume you're talking about a buffer allocated with tpalloc("STRING","",
    length); ?
If so, the data you put in to the buffer will only be processed up to thefirst
'\0' since it is considered to hold a NUL terminated character string.
If you want to send data with embedded NUL characters, you will need toput it
    into a CARRAY buffer.
This does not explain the TPEINVAL error however, since the call shouldjust
process the string you provided up to the first NUL. Can you post more ofyour
    code?
However, to step back for a minute, I would advise you to look intoputting your
data into FML buffers. You can put string or carray fields into an FMLbuffer
and you will gain architectural flexibility for the future.
    Regards,
    Peter.

  • Can you read this processes.txt

my mac pro is in near lockup with the hd churning as i run a clone and try to get some work done. i can't seem to quit out of APERTURE even after pulling down to CLOSE from the Dock icon and pulling down to QUIT from the pulldown.
ALSO, i have a terrible time reading the Activity Monitor and was wondering if someone can walk me through how to handle this issue by reading either the txt file below or in getting AM to behave (it's always so darn /jumpy/).
anyway, is there a proper way to go about solving this kind of slowdown or am i relegated to closing every software i can handle and then - i guess - i run a shut down of the computer if I can't shut down Aperture normally?
    TIA
    Jon

    thank you.
yeah, on the widgets i am in the process of putting the ones on the macbookpro on the mac pro so there are a ton open because i am half way through this process.
is there something a relatively new user can do about the two things you mention here? i mean, i feel like i am having deja vu everytime i try and address something like this because on the one hand there are obviously things that are not working but on the other hand it is like the bermuda triangle for me in terms of trying to figure it all out.
i /just/ put my external Time Capsule on the /excluded/ list of items in Spotlight in order to keep it from showing the indexing symbol. This worked (even thought it is still showing on the MacBookPro). Also, Aperture has gotten hung up and I am trying to wait it out so I don't have to crash out the database (I'm told this is a very bad idea and to be avoided if at all possible).
Is any of this related to Paralels by any chance? I had a prl_disp_vm or somesuch that was hogging 100% CPU at one piotn and it is unclear to me if they resolved this.
    THANKS!
    - Jon
