Can't acces my account balance.

I redeemed a code on a $15 dollar gift card and it seemed to work fine. It shows that there is $15 on my account but when I went to buy a $10 app, it says I have to give credit card info to pay. Anyone know what I should do?

In the iTunes Canada store, you must use a CC to purchase apps.
Gift cards can be used only for music, movies or tv shows, not apps.

I have an account balance in the Itunes store. When I try to purchase a book by redeeming part of this balance, the system asks for a Redeem Code.
I do not have one, nor do I remember ever establishing such a code. The balance arises from entering a number of previous gift cards which I no longer have. What can I do to use my account balance?

Once you redeem an iTunes card or gift certificate you no longer need the code. If you see a credit balance in your iTunes Store account, just go ahead and buy what you want. As long as it's not a gift for someone else, the cost will be automatically deducted from your balance.

Hello: I just got an email telling me that i have an unused itunes balance. I can't seem to get the balance to show up, nor can I figure out how to configure itunes to pay for purchases first with my balance and then with payPal. Any suggestions?

I received the same email from [email protected], sender "iTunes".
In the same day, I received another email from what i know as the legitimate iTunes, sender "iTunes Store" and email from [email protected] Notice there is no "newmusic." after the @ symbol here. I believe prior email was a scam. I've received it twice before, both in June and July 2011.
It is probably a scam, for if it's not showing up when you access your iTunes account online or through iTunes, through an independent link, btw, then you don't have an unused balance. To be sure, you can call Apple, but I've gone through these steps before and appears to be a scam. Whatever you do, don't click on any links. Depending on the email host you have you can actually right click on the email before you open it and look for the option that says "see message source", or something along those lines. It will show you who the email is from and all the html script without you even opening it. If you see strange words in the script, inappropriate ones, or a strange sender email address, you'll have a hint.

iTunes accounts are not located on your computer. They are simply tied to a specific AppleID. Just log in to iTunes with the correct AppleID and Password and you will be back in that account.

Multiple accounts with same email can't acces original account

ok, so i created a new skype. I was messing with skype account on my desktop and wound up unlinking and re linking the account basically i made 2 extra accounts and they have my live: random.namehere_1 and live: random.namehere_2 and i cant log into my original one anymore also when i try to do a recovery it says i have 2-3 skype accounts on my email and i cant log into my accounts by typing in the live:random.namehere and the password it just says ooops something went wrong basicallly saying the pw and account name are wrong when they arent i made sure of it. so how do i eliminate the cloned accounts and log into the main one.

Actually this morning I was able to log on the account from an iPad with no fuss but the pc refuses to sign in^^^!???! "Skype couldn't connect" - What is going on???
I also found out that I could sign in via a browser but not via skype program... So I uninstalled it and installed it again and it's working now...
I have now changed the email so I don't have 3 accounts with the same primary email as Skype seems to not being able to handle multiple accounts with same email!!!

Before the latest iTunes update, I was able to see my account balance (a whopping $9.98), but can no longer see the amount. I've tried logging out and back into iTunes to no avail. Same goes on my iPhone and iPod, and iPad. The system keeps asking for credit card info, but I'm hesitant to do that. (That's why we purchase iTunes gift cards, isn't it ?) !
Anyway, Thank you for your assistance. Next stop is the local Apple Store and see what the Genus bar can do. !!

My account's balance shows at the top left of the store's page on my computer's iTunes, and by logging in to view my account via the Store > View Account menu option. On my iOS devices it shows at the bottom of, for example, the Featured tab in the App Store app under my account id (or you can view your account via Settings > iTunes & App Stores and it should show on the screen that you are taken to).
When purchasing items from the store your account's balance should be automatically used first (you can't gift content from your balance) - from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5582 :
When making purchases, content credits are used first, followed by Gift Certificate, iTunes Card, or Allowance Account credits; your credit card or PayPal account is then charged for any remaining balance.

Check the balance of GL/Trading Partner Combination
eg
GL          Trading Partner Balance
666666   XX003                 -20000
666666   XX004                 30000
Now suppose you need to transfer balance from CN003 XX004
You can make a posting as
DR 666666 XX003     20000
CR 666666 XX004     20000
So that the GL balance is not affected, but the trading partner balance is transferred
