Can't acces my BIS account anymore

Hello,
I bought a bb in USA like 2 months ago, I started using it inmediately with my provider and I started using the data plan about 20 days ago, I was able to register my account and everything, 2 days ago my data stop working, and I could not use my bb msn or anything, I tried to enter my BIS account and it's asking me again for my pin and imei and when I write those I get an error message "The information you provided could not be verified. Please re-type your information and try again".
Mine is a bb 8120 . When I go to the host routing tables I send the registration message and get a message from bb saying that my handheld has been registered with the wireless network. Also EDGE is ok.
I called my provider, and they told me, my data plan was ok, but they also told me that blackberry directly did something to block my pin or something... why?!
Please please help!

Hi there!
Your carrier controls your BIS account -- no one else. If the support folks that you have talked with so far are unable to provide you assistance with the account that they control, then you need to escalate with them to their dedicated BB support folks (hopefully such exist!). And they can in turn escalate you into RIM at no charge to you.
These forums are not, btw, formal RIM support -- these are user-to-user...not user-to-RIM. To get to RIM, you must either go through the escalation path with your carrier or select the fee-based support from the Support & Services Tab at the top of these forums pages.
Anyway, my advice is to go back to your carrier and request the escalation -- since they've told you some things already, they must have a method to access more detailed information and provide you with the support that they are required to provide.

    Try doing it in a WIndows Safe mode - Restart computer and hit F8 key right after your see BIOS check and choose "Safe mode with networking"
    Do the SFC /SCANNOW again.
    If that does not work, whilst in safe mode, download Free Malwarebyte software from CNET's Download.com.  Install, update virus definition then perform a full scan.  Remove if it did find some viruses or trojans.  Restart computer.
    Back to regular windows, do the SFC /SCANNOW again.
    If that doesnot work, check to see if your Hard drive has errors or bad sectors
    GO START BUTTON /COMPUTER, right mouse click OS (C:) and choose "Properties"
    Choose "Tools" tab and under error checking, click "Check Now".
    Make sure "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors" is checked and click start.
    Restart windows will perform the above task to fix errors  This may take hours depends on how big is your Hard Drive

    Same issue here. I updated to iTunes 10.5.3 (Mac) yesterday, and today I can't log in to iTunes Store or my account from my MacBook Pro. I suspect 10.5.3 updater is the issue, but can't be sure.

    I'm having issues accessing my O2 Data account. I check this on a daily basis to see what I'm at in terms of data usage.
    Today I get a strange message saying "Device not Recognised, this iPad has not been registered prperly in our systems. Call Custommer Service on **** and when asked provide the ID ***********"
    Now, the cusommer service number is that of O2, so I called them and they told me categorically that this was an Apple Software issue and I should take my iPad back...... hmmmmm, what a load of tosh.
    I'm currently using it on 3G not wifi, so I suspect it maybe a weak or faulty 3G connection. I can still access the internet so I know it's not an Apple issue.
    Anyway, I dutifully phoned AppleCare (Waited 10 mins) and they said exactly what I thought which is "You need to call your service provider O2 as this is clearly an issue on their side", they were nice about it.
    I so hate these kind of circular situations.
    I hope this is just a one off problem due to a faulty network and it all comes back on-line. I've sued this everyday to track my Data Usage against my plan.
    I've also done the obvious full re-set a couple of times, but no Joy
    Anyone had similar problems?

    Did you ever this get this resolved? I now have exactly the same issue - stuck between O2 and Apple. Now on 2nd SIM and iPad restore - three weeks on and no mobile data connection still - seriously unimpressed!

    The easiest way to get back missing items?  Restore your whole hard drive with all your irreplaceable things like photos in about 20 minutes from the backup clone you make on a regular basis.

    I am a bit confused by your use of the word "account".  You may have an "account" on the iTunes Store.  What you have on a computer is your user account, part of which is the iTunes folder which usually houses a collection of files that make up what you see when you open the iTunes application.  When you open iTunes it does not normally open an account to your files, it just opens the ones on your computer. If your old computer died and you can not longer use the hard drive (which is not necessarily true but we would have to know more about the situation in detail) then not only your media but your playlists, ratings, etc. are also gone (unless you have a backup).  As indicated above, iTunes Store will let you download some things again, if they are still there and you are running iTunes 10.3 or greater.  Things like movies are gone unless you have a backup copy elsewhere.  The iTunes store does not contain playlists, etc, nor your ratings since all you are doing is downloading brand new copies again.

    I did sth rather stupid while trying a get timemachine working on my iMac 10.5.5.
    I changed the short name, login shell and home directory of my account. (didn't listen to the waning that I may not be able to login if I change those information Now I can not log into my account anymore. I tried to use fileVault master password to change the password of my account, but it didn't help. Can anyone tell me how do I fix this problem?

    sudo ls -la /users/username
    and post the results.
    does it list sparsebundle or sparseimage?
    Another thing, when I typed in the command, it didn't take the admin (root) password, but the password of the account I was logged in got me through.
    that's what it has to be. it takes the password of the user (it jhas to be an admin user) which is currently logged in.
    I am wondering if I can recover the problem user's files from the sparseimage file, then copied all the files to a new user.

  • Unable to set up BIS account and company emails

    I have the following story:
    I changed carrier last week, until that everything worked fine, my yahoo, google and company emails. I use BIS.
    Now, I am not able to setup my company email, but my other emails work ok, m phone is registered. I use these emails since many years and had 3-4 different bb models, having no problem to setup all of them.
    So, i tried my new carrier's website to create a new account, I got the following message:
    Cannot create account:  
    This action cannot be performed using a browser on a computer. Use the email setup application on your BlackBerry® smartphone to create an account.
    I called my previous carrier, they say tham my PIN is deleted from their system.
    My current carrier (vodafone hungary) says taht everything is fine from their side, it should work. And I have to fix my company email. When I try to set it up, I got the message that the server is not responding.
    Any idea?

    You should talk with your work email admins to see if there's anything special about their system that needs to be accommodated in your configuration. Also, have them review this KB to be sure that they've opened up all that is required for BIS to properly integrate:
    KB11036 Firewall and connection requirements for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    Further, if the auto-configs do not properly sense what is needed, you may need to use advanced configuration...you select that by intentionally providing your correct email address, but an incorrect password. The next screen that should come up has a check-box for you to say you will provide manual settings...check that and then put into the fields what your email admins tell you is needed. That may perhaps work. It's called advanced integration, and here's the relevant KB:
    KB10154 How to integrate a POP or IMAP email account through advanced integration
    While rare, it is also possible for some internet-facing email systems to not be able to configure into BIS. However, since you say you had this email account previously working on your BB, this result would not be logical -- unless the email admins changed something on their side.
    I am curious about two of your responses though...those you talk about re-registering and creating a new account. One BB PIN can have only one BIS account at any given time (and only on one carrier at a time). So, unless your BIS account were first deleted, you would of course fail to be able to create a new one.
    It is also possible that perhaps you indeed are not providing the proper credentials when you configure...if there is a combination of numbers and symbols in your credentials, then you need to be especially careful when entering those, especially via the device interface. For instance, if your password is
    ab123
    and you enter
    a > b > ALT > 1 > 2 > 3
    the actual result will be
    ab1er
    You must enter
    a > b > ALT > 1 > ALT > 2 > ALT > 3
    in order to wind up with ab123. So, in this example, while on the BB keyboard you think you are typing ab123, you are actually typing ab1er.
    You may also need to take that risk of having a Vodafone rep attempt configuring this into your account for you.

    What do you mean by access?
    Try deleting the account in the Mail app and setting it up again.

    If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple IDand that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
    This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
    However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details and some other circumstances.
    The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device. It may take a short while to remove the account.
    You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

    You need to go to Manage your Apple ID, https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/, and sign in with your current Apple ID and password and do the following:
    1.     Edit your current Apple ID and change it back to the ID which is displaying for your iCloud account. You do not need to verify it - this is only a temporary change
    2.     Go into Settings>iCloud on your device and delete the iCloud account. Use your current password when your are prompted for a password
    3.     Once the old iCloud account is deleted, go back into Manage your Apple ID and change your ID back to the current one
    4.     Go back to Settings>iCloud and sign on with your current ID and password
    That should take care of your issue!

    Hey guys I figured out how to solve the issue.
    You need to go to settings>general>restrictions.
    Turn off restrictions and your iCloud and twitter will start working.

    If you know the primary email linked to the account but do not have access to it or the answers to the security questions, then the next best thing to do is call Apple at 800-275-2273 and ask for Account Security.  They will ask you for two pieces of information from the account in order to unlock it.  The options are usually the security questions (each question counts as one piece), the credit card linked to the account, and either a device serial number or device verification code that they will send you.
    After this verification is complete they can send the reset link for your password to any email you choose.  Please be aware that if they verify you with something other than two security questions, there is a 24 hour wait before the email arrives.
