Can't access 3g in my lumia 920

I bought my lumia 920 on 26th July 2013 and the problem is that i can't access 3g connection. Any suggestions, please help me i totally not agree with this phone

Have you transferred microSIM from another device or is this a new connection? Also not clear whether you have 4G or just 2G available to you.
You coukd try installing Lumia Pusher app. to ensure that Network + settings are up to date:

When I first got the phone I had wifi right off the start. Now I don't have wifi at all. I know this because I can't download updates for my phone and I don't have the little wifi picture at the top of the screen anymore. Request for information regarding the Lumia Denim and WP 8.1 Update 1 for Lumia 920

When can those of us with the Lumia 920 get the Lumia Denim update and the Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 Update for our phones? And does AT&T have a time fram for getting us Lumia 920 owners the update or are we not going to get this update until Windows Phone 10 comes out?

Lumia 920 on Black Amber - HERE Maps stops working

Hi,
After being trilled about updating and closing my applications using the X button on multi-tasking (finally!), I went into my Here Maps, or rather, I tried to open Here Maps, and it closed (probably an exception occurs and closes the app, just like when you develop WP apps).
So i've been searching the web.
Solutions that i've seen
1- Reset Phone (Done)
2- Soft Reset (Done)
3- Uninstall, Reinstall (Done)
4- Open while in Airplane/Removing SIM => still closes and crash
5- Uninstall Maps in Settings > Applications > Maps, I don't have Maps option (Even when I install/uninstall HERE Maps and/or HERE Drive+ and/or HERE Transit)
6- No updates available
7- Updated to latest version (I'm on black amber).
So after all that, i've been for 2 hours not able to solve my issue, which is (to recap):
Can't open HERE Maps on Lumia 920 (Black Amber), instantly crashes. I can still use Transit for getting my subway + bus infos, but can't use HERE Drive+ and Maps.
If there's anything more you need, please ask.

All of my application which were integrated with maps are not working properly.
Unfortunatelly, there are no updates from Nokia on this issue.

I have got a new Lumia 920 and have a Nokia Music Unlimited subscription on it. It runs just fine and I am loving it. I am sure its one of the best yet under-marketed feature for Lumia phones.
I had a question. Can I use my unlimited subscription to download songs on my PC as well (using Nokia Music Player). I know I can simply transfer but too lazy!
When I try to sign in from the application, it gives me an option to add the PC as a registered PC. I wanted to be sure if doing that won't impact downloads on my Lumia in any way.

Can't charge Lumia 920 via usb in car

I can't charge my Lumia 920 via usb in the car. There is nothing wrong with the cable, and I've also tried several other cables. There is nothing wrong with the car either, because it works fine on my boyfriends phone (Samsung Galaxy). It also works on my old HTC Desire.
And it also works to charge my Lumia 920 via usb on my laptop, so there's nothing wrong with my phone either.
Any suggestions??

As not a Nokia accessory it could not be recommended in case of warranty issues, but if Lumia 920 running Drive draws more current than 750mA that CR-200 supplies http://www.nokia.com/gb-en/phones/phone/cr-200/specifications/ then use of an iPad car charger in accessory socket delivering 2.1 Amp should manage to net charge device battery whilst it is consuming >1 Amp in Drive mode.

Lumia 920 can take sharp pictures with an app

I have been thinking what to do with my brand new Lumia 920 because I am dissapointed with picture quality. They are simply not sharp, and I am not talking only daylight or night pictures. In my case MOST of the pictures are not sharp. However all Macro pictureas are sharp, and one of a hundred both daylight and low light ARE sharp.
My previous phone is Nokia N8 and wife have Iphone 4s so I know what to expect from a phone.
I have dowloaded app called Camera Easy and that app simply take SHARP pictures.
Here are two comparison, two sharp are of course taken with Camera Easy app, and two not so sharp pictures are taken with default Nokia Lumia 920 software. ( I have bought Camera Pro as well, but pictures have same quality as Nokia Lumia 920 default software, not sharp).
However there is one bug in Camera Easy app, it can save images in own folder somewhere on Lumia 920, but they are not listed on camera roll or albums???
(reason why I am covering my eye is because I took over hundred of pictures and looking in flash light that many times will hurt my eyes.... so some protection )

3g data access problems on lumia 920

i regret my decision to switch to lumia 920 after using samsung for 2yrs. cannot connect to 3g on my lumia 920. all I have spent is in vain. plan to switch to android or iOs now.

Did you check Settings > access point to see if the access point is active (tap it to activate)? Would help to know which country/carrier. Did you buy the phone new? Is it maybe SIM locked?
We do not mind helping, but a bit more information instead of a pointless rant would be helpful.

Lumia 920 Lockout, can't reset.

I apologize if this sounds like a sob story, but that's exactly what it is to me.
I've had my Nokia Lumia 920 from the first week it was released, and I used it for EVERYTHING. I met my soul mate and future wife through random text messages and back and forth random conversations, my lumia 920 contains so many of my our precious memories. I've used it for so long, until the day I accidentally dropped it and had the screen shatter, rendering the device useless. I could not afford the repair cost for the device, and I was not under warranty (and was afraid to send my device in to some other company, for fear of losing the precious contents inside)
This was a year and a half ago.
Last week, I bought and received a replacement screen, and repaired my device, I was overjoyed when I finally saw the NOKIA logo on the screen as it booted up, and when I saw my lock screen with my girl's face smiling back at me... I've only ever been this happy few times before.
Until... I realized I forgot my pass code. 5 digits... keeping me away from priceless memories, from innocent texts turned to flirtatious back and forth conversations, to the moment where I asked her if she would be my girlfriend.
I've tried desperately all the possible combinations that I have ever used, birthdays, addresses, zip codes, special dates, names as numbers... I am locked out.
I need my memories. I can't just reset the past. I need to be able to look back and laugh, smile, and cry. I can't reset my phone, because I need those memories. We both do.
I refuse to reset my phone.
I ask you for your help, I have no one else to turn to, every message board, and device expert tells me the same thing "reset" But, that is not an option for me. I am asking for your help, as it is your own device, is there ANY other way for me to unlock that which is mine? Or, am I stuck continuing to enter number after number, and watch as the minutes multiply with each consecutive failure?
I'm desperate. As one fellow person to another... Please help me.

I know about memories. They are beautiful and precious. But if you cannot remember your passcode there is a one last resort. Your girl may have a record of those conversations and you could get a copy from her. As for the passcode the more you try the worst it becomes. I would stop thinking about it for a few days and see if it comes back. Sometimes it does.

Can't delete album in Pictures app on Lumia 920

I used my Lumia 920 phone as a flash drive for random files.
One time I uploaded a folder of music files to: My Computer\Windows Phone\Phone.
Then, one day I opened Pictures app and found new album there. It was called "Artwork", I deleted it, but still whenever I open Pictures app the album's still there, just empty. Tried deleting that folder trough Windows Explorer, but no luck, phone still shows it, though it is deleted.
Tried creating folder with same name: no music, just one random picture, and phone showed it (not creating a duplicate Album) then renamed that folder, it magically renamed in picture app too! but then again, deleted it, and it is showing up empty with different name now.
By the way, the folder "artwork" was inside the folder of songs, so in picture app it was "folder in folder"(maybe thats the bug). Something like: My Computer\Windows Phone\Phone\Group name\Artwork

I've created an account just to post a solution! I'd had the same problem for weeks and I finally figured out a solution today:
(Don't forget to exit the "Photos" app using the back button before connecting the phone to a computer)
1. If you haven't deleted the album folder using a computer, do it (open the phone memory on a computer and delete the folder).
2. Create a new folder and give it the same name as the album in question.
3. Copy a new random picture into the folder.
4. Unplug the phone and make sure the new picture's showed up in the gallery.
5. Connect the phone to the computer again and rename the folder to some gibberish, a single letter (like "a") is enough.
6. Unplug and make sure the album's name's changed in the gallery as well.
7. Connect the phone again and rename the folder to "Sample Pictures".
8. Unplug and check the gallery again, the album should be named "8".
9. Tap and hold the album and delete the sucker.
The steps above worked for me when nothing else had. Steps 3-7 are mostly just check-ups, they might not be essential but they indicate that you're doing what you're supposed to and that everything works as expected.

Lumia 920 system failed

I just got lumia 920 5days ago and now I can't access to my phone settings.
Can't even go into settings to open wifi or other things.
Tried soft reset also can't.
Tried My Window Phone to remote erase phone also can't.

There are a few other rests you can try if you wish. Before doing so be aware of the fact that unkess you have a backuo, your data may be lost in the process. The reset I suggest you start with is the 4 button reset. If this doesnt work there is another you can try but have a go with this one first. Thist reset is as follows.
With the phone powered off, press and hold all 4 buttons on the side of the phone. Release the power button only when the phone vibrates and release remaining buttons 5 seconds after thst. If this doesnt work come back and let me know and we could have a look at the next reset.

I think I have found a solution for you. I have just tried this on my Lumia 920 and it works. Goto Photos then Camera Roll then open the Cinemagraph GIF and select ...
then select Save To Skydrive, and it will upload the GIF. If you are using Windows 8 (or if you don't have Windows 8, you can access SkyDrive on the web-based version), and download it and open it in Internet Explorer. It will work and play. Please remember that the recipient will always view it as a static MMS unless they have an app on their phone that can play animated GIF's, same applies to recipients who view it on their computer. I suggest sending it to their email and they can open it on their computer.

Nokia Lumia 920 India Launch ! - Some Observations...

Being a Nokia fan for years .. I decided to write this .. I hope people at the right level from Nokia see this.
We all know Nokia Lumia 920 has probably hit all the right spots with Users abroad and the best thing is they are loving it a lot. I probably would like to be one of them soon.
However I have certain concerns,
When Nokia launced Lumia in India people had high hopes including myself however one thing that I have always found going wrong is the 'PRICING' .. yes such insanely high pricing at launch .. why ? Look at the pricing of Lumia 800 at launch (around 33k) . Look at the pricing of Lumia 900 still (31k) ? .. Lumia 800 now sells around at the price of 19k !! - almost a 40% drop in price.
The basic thinking in the minds of people including me is 'Don't buy a Nokia phone immediately on launch !!'. Why can't this be changed ? - Yes everybody wants to earn profits but in a situation wherein you are more in search for Mindshare .. This does not make sense. Obviously I am no one to teach anybody anything but this is what I feel & what I have felt for years.
If I buy a Nokia Lumia 920 at launch only to find that after 3 months the pricing has come down by 3-5k .. I will not be a Happy Consumer.
Nokia - Launch Lumia 920 at a very competitive price (so that the likes of SGS3 & HTC 8x will feel ashamed) .. Arrive at a price & keep it steady for real long so that the initial adopters are happy & others come to know that Nokia's pricing is real good and will stay that way for long.
Nokia's Lumia are pretty good phones .. they never lag when compared to Android etc however they have not been well received by people here in India. The most common answer that I get is 'Bluetooth not there - can't transfer files' , 'Can't use memory card ' & 'Apps not available'.
Nokia - you have to change this mindset of people because with Windows Phone 8 these things are no longer hindrances ! .. especially Bluetooth & Micro-sd support.
I am expecting your Ads to have this .. be it on Radio or TV or Internet.
Can we have right people on the Job ? - Recently I went to Hypercity Mall (in Mumbai) (Nokia booth). I took in my hand a Lumia 510. I asked how much RAM ? .. to my surprise he answered 512 Mb .. and I was like What ? I asked him to recheck - still the same answer. He said we have confirmed. The phone actually comes with 256 Mb of RAM.
Now imagine what happens to a consumer who brought this phone from him ?
Nokia - Please get the right people at task for Nokia Lumia 920 & 820 because there you have got some real innovations like PureView, OIS, Wireless Charging etc. Ensure that users get the right demo of all the innovations. First impression will be the Last impression.
At Malls (without Nokia booths), the 2 phones Lumia 800 & Lumia 710 lonely guard the booths .. with rarely anybody there to explain about them. Just on the side of it I find Samsung's booth with all the latest flagships standing there & probably someone to explain about it - however Android needs no explanation these days will all aware about it (& even if not aware they know a phone with it is Cool!).
Nokia - Please set your own booths for Lumia (both WP8 & WP7) & assign one of your Guys per Booth. I really don't know the dynamics of setting up booth at a mall & the financial impact of it. All you need to do is differentiate your Lumia's from others.
Alternatively you can have a Lumia Van (or Lumia Vans) running around the City with all the possible Lumia's on it for doing Demo's. All Lumia's - since a person can come up to check a Lumia 510 too & not having a specific Lumia means Dissatisfaction for the user.
Nokia Lumia 920,820 & 620 are gem of a phones .. Hope everything is done right with them in a price sensitive market like India & I hope that Nokia you are listening to a User's opinion here.

1. How can I configure networking option for individual application (it was standard option before, see N8)
- Can you tell me which particular application/s you are referring to? The phone prioritizes WLAN connection over 3G to ensure quality customer experience.
Example: Nokia Maps - when downloading map data, it would require you to use WLAN as phone would require high amount of data.
2. Where can I find the option like: Automatic, Always ask, WLAN only when using access to data connection
- These options are not available on the device. However, you can find some settings that are similar to what you are looking for:
Settings>Wifi>Tap on Advanced> you will have the following options:
Notify me when new networks are found
Automatically connect to Wi-Fi hotspots
Send information about Wi-Fi connections to help discover nearby Wi-Fi
Keep Wi-Fi on when the screen times out
