Can't access a VM within oracle VM server

dear team,
This is the first time i use the OVM and we are planning to sell it to our customer but we are facing issues which prevent us to go further; here is a summary of the architecture as well as the issue:
1) the OVM 3.2.1 is installed on an Intel server (H/W based) with 2 network cards
2) the first network card is used for management purposes
3) the second network card is created using "bonds/ports only", with the network name "My Network", and dedicated for "Network Virtual Machine" in order to be used by the VMs to access the external network; the IP used is 192.168.17.117 (subnet 255.255.240.0)
4) 2 VMs created using OEL 6 with the IPs 192.168.19.33 and 192.168.19.34 with the same subnet 255.255.240.0
5) the 2 VMs are "pingable" between each other but couldn't be "pingable" from outside (neither from the VMs to outside) although the VNIC are attached to the network described in the point 3.
As stated in the point 5, the VMs are unreachable from outside the OVM.
could you please provide me your feedback in this regard.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Elie

thanks for your reply.
well in fact, No i'm not using any gateway neither for the VMs nor for the OVM server since all the IPs are on the same subnet.
Edited by: user_Elie77 on May 20, 2013 12:30 PMI was going over your ip scheme, you're using a 192.168.19 network for your vm and a 192.168.17 for your OVS. Are you using VLANSs?
If tagged they should going to a DG (default gateway if they want to access another subnet). Also unless you intend to use CIDR just use 255.255.255.0
Forgive me if I'm wrong.

  • Oracle BI Publisher - can not access Shared Folder , using Oracle BI Server

    Hi there,
We have an installed OBIEE and BIP (BI Publisher) system which is the security setting of BIP using "Oracle BI Server".
Our OBIEE security is using the combination of LDAP (authentication) and Relational Table (for grouping user privillege)
The integration connection between OBIEE and BIP is successfull, and I can connect using Administrator to the BIP
But when I assign a general user using group : XMLP_Admin (define in rpd file and relational table), the user can log in to BIP, but can NOT access the Shared Folder.
the error desc : "Error 500: SRVE0199E: OutputStream already obtained"
    Anyone can help ?
    Thanks a lot

Did you define Roles and Permissions to the shared folder from BIP Admin?

can free online books be downloaded to memory of ipad2 so that book can be accessed when not within wi-fi range

It depends on what books you're referring to. All books from the iTunes Store are downloaded to your iPad and except for any special features the book may contain that requires an Internet connection will be readable without such a connection.
If you're talking about books from some other source, we'd need to know the source before we could offer opinions.

  • Can't access tables in other Oracle database schemas

Hi. We got our Oracle database admin to install APEX in our Oracle database. She created a login and schema for my Oracle database user so that I could work with APEX a little. Here's the information on the version of APEX we have installed:
    Database Version Information
Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64bit Production
    PL/SQL Release 11.2.0.2.0 - Production
    CORE 11.2.0.2.0 Production
    TNS for IBM/AIX RISC System/6000: Version 11.2.0.2.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.2.0 - Production
I've found that my user is only able to access Oracle tables within my own Oracle database schema. Most of our main tables are in 3 other schemas and I'd need access to all tables in all these schemas. Right now whenever I encounter a drop list of values for Schema, only by own schema is available in the list of values.
Is there something our Admin can do to make these tables in other schemas available to my user account?

    Sharpe,
This documentation should point you in the right direction. It will show you how to add multiple schemas to a workspace.

  • Can't Access Public Folders Within Outlook, But Can Through Web Access

    Hi all,
I have an Exchange 2010 Server (V14.02.0387.000) with clients using Outlook 2007-2013. Until recently all users could access all public folders without issue. However, since moving the location of the public and private mailboxes on the server (to new drives
with more space and defragging etc), a number of users are unable to access the public folders, getting error "Cannot expand the folder. the attempt to log on to Microsoft Exchange has failed". However, when they log in through Outlook Web Access,
they can view the public folders without issue.
I've tried restarting all the Exchange services, as well as multiple reboots of the server.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Bob

I'm going to start with some general advice.  Don't bother running ESEUTIL anymore to reduce database sizes.  If you find you need to do that, simply create a new database, move all the mailboxes to it, and then delete the old database.
If you created a new public folder database, did you change the mailbox databases to point to it using Set-MailboxDatabase -PublicFolderDatabase?

  • Anyconnect can only access some IP within a block

I have strange behaviour on the when connecting over Anyconnect to the ASA. I can access some of the cisco equipment on the network like the core switch on 10.2.15.254.
    I particularly can't see the 10.1.1.0 network...
any hints would be most welcome, bound to have done something silly.

    Hi,
You have configured majority of your NAT rules in Section 1 of the NAT
nat (data,outside2) source dynamic any interface
nat (server,outside2) source dynamic any interface
nat (DMZ,outside2) source dynamic any interface
nat (server,outside1) source dynamic any interface (This command was previously probably causing problems)
nat (DMZ,outside1) source dynamic any interface
nat (guestwifi,outside1) source dynamic any interface
nat (data,outside1) source dynamic any interface
What Javier suggested was to create the NAT rule at the very top of the NAT rules. Notice the number "1" which defines the order number for the NAT rule. This makes sure that the NAT for the VPN is always checked first instead of the long list of Dynamic NATs.

  • Can't access the content on my website server

I recently installed an Airport Extreme router in place of a Linksys wired router. I access two outside servers connecting with FTP Transmit - one server is my local ISP on which I have 5 mg personal space and I can access this still with no problem. I also have space for my club website on another server (which I am told is probably more secure than my ISPs) and since installing Airport Extreme I am no longer able to access the files in order to update the content.
I was able to access this server from my local library's Wi Fi so feel it must be the new router which is causing the problem.
Does anyone know what settings I could change to remedy this problem?

Problem resolved. AE was disabled and Airport Utility said resolution was to install update 7.5.2 which I had not done because of all the negative postings here. Didn't have much choice so installed update. Was immediately able to access my club website server!!

  • Can't access internet-unable to contact DHCP server?

Help! i'm a total computer flunkie so please not too much computer jargon-my husband accidentally cut our phone line which cut out our DSL and when he respliced it the internet started working on our builtin wireless laptop but not on our desktop that is using the WRT54G wireless router and compact Wireless G USB adapter.  None of our computers are near our phone line.  I tried to renew IPconfig through CMD screen but it gives me this error: uable to contact your DHCP server. Request has timed out.  I tried reinstalling the adapter but that didn't work.  Do I need to change something on the router by connecting our laptop to it? Please help!! This is driving me crazy Thanks!

Go to your device manager (Right click My Computer, then click Properties, then device manager should be under hardware tab), check and make sure your wireless adapter driver is installed well.
Then access to your router's web management page, ensure that the DHCP setting is set correctly. Might try to reboot your router after that. Finally try to acquire the IP address from your desktop computer again.
You can also try to assign the IP, netmask, gateway, DNS manually on the desktop computer if still failing to get the IP from DHCP server.
    Hope helps..

  • I can't access a shared file on remote server

I can connect to a windows 2003 server through the VPN but I can't find the shared folder any where? I can see the Printers and fax machine through the web browser. I've only had my mac for a week but I really need to get to my work files!

I find it astonishing that you can see remote printers and fax machines through your web browser, but that's a different issue.
Even though you're on the VPN and connected to the office network, there is no support for auto-discovery over the VPN connection. In other words, the OS won't go out and look for available servers/shares in the VPN network.
In order to connect to remote shares you'll need to know the server and share name which you can then enter into the Finder's Go -> Connect to Server dialog in the form smb://server/sharename (assuming you're using SMB servers in the central office).

http://solutions.webtitan.com/blog/bid/187865/The-shortfalls-of-exchange-for-archiving-are-many-Why-a-true-email-archiving-solution-is-requiredThe term archive has a technical meaning. Its a collection of information that is permanently stored and unalterable. Archives are necessary for all businesses (to varying degrees) to comply with regulations and in the case of litigation. The terms backup and archive are often confused. A backup is intended to restore the system to a state in time when there is data corruption or loss. As such, backups are overwritten with more recent information as time progresses. Archives, on the other hand, preserve data for longer periods of time and are easily searchable. Why do you need archiving?Moving email to archives helps limit the amount of data storage needed for mailboxes. A good archiving solution...
