Can't access any photos in Lr after upgrade from Lr5 to Lr5.3.

Just upgraded from Lr5 to Lr5.3.  Now can't access any photos in Lr.  I suspect a catalogue issue.  Any suggestions?

"can't access" ??
By what method are you trying to access these photos? What module of Lightroom are you in when you try this? What exact steps in Lightroom are you using ... please use the Lightroom name of the steps, as technically there is no step called "access", so I honestly have no idea what the step is that you are trying. What happens when you try to "access" the photos? Is there an error message?

  • Can't access any photos, Camera Roll sends me to home screen?

Yesterday I took over 100 photos on my phone for work.  After returning to the office and attempting to sync them to the cloud the process froze and never completed.
Afterward I am unable to view any of the photos in the Camera Roll.  Each time I click on Camera Roll it sends me back to the home screen.  If I take another picture it sends me back to the homescreen after the photo is taken.  Plugging the phone into the computer does not allow me to access the photos either, it doesnt show them as being available and I cannot transfer them to my computer in any way.
    Any suggestions?

After posting my question I found a topic with the exact same problem, unfortunately the solution was to restore the phone...this is not the solution I was hoping for as I cannot lose all the photos I've taken.  Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  For reference I've included the other link below.

  • Can't access app store or itunes after upgrading to iOS6

I upgraded my iphone to iOS 6 and now I can not access the app store or itunes, I have tried to use the new maps application and it odes not download the area map at all. This is very frustrating...

What happens when you try to access/use/download apps?
If there is an error message, what is the exact wording of that message?
Has the iPhone been jailbroken or modified to work with other than
    the original wireless provider?
Were any of the beta versions of iOS 7 ever installed on the iPhone?

  • Can't open any iWork file anymore after upgrade !

Hello, I just upgraded my Pages, Keynote and Numbers from iWork '08 to the new Mavericks versions. I can't open any file anymore!  I got the message that these files are to old and I have to save them first with iWork '09 applications which I do't have! Help please.

Finally got my hands on iWork 09 and converted all my files individually!
The iWork guys can still learn something from Microsoft with respect to backwards compatibility!

  • Can't undo a Huge Mouse Pointer after upgrading from Tiger to Leopard.

I did an upgrade from Leopard to Tiger.
When I was on Tiger, I had a setting for a huge mouse pointer. I upgraded to Leopard. No matter how many times I reset the pointer to small, when restarting it goes back to huge.
    How can I fix this?

    gaccawi,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
No matter how many times I reset the pointer to small, when restarting it goes back to huge.
That statement indicates to me that you have made this attempt using System Preferences>Universal Access>Mouse>For difficulties seeing the mouse...Normal.
If that is the true, have you previously installed any third party pointer software?
    ;~)

  • Can't open Aperture 3.2.4 after upgrade from 10.6.8 to 10.9

I just upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mavericks and everything looks fine, except for the fact that I can't open Aperture anymore. The dock icon is crossed out and when I click on it, I get the message "You can't open the application "Aperture" because it is not supported on this type of Mac.
I am running Aperture 3.2.4 which was the latest supported version under Snow Leopard 10.6.8. I was under the impression that I could upgrade to the latest version of Aperture under the new operating system....
--> What does that mean? My Mac was able to upgrade to the latest operating system but the applications are not??
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

    I tested this:
Reinstalled Aperture 3.1 from the Trial Installer.
In some way it seems to be working. But the whole thing is a scary Chimera.
It can create an Aperture library. I can import and edit images, even in Graphic Converter ias an external editor.
But the Media Browser does not show the aperture Library that I created.
The versioning is inconsistent. The library appears as an Aperture 3.4 library in the Finder.  Aperture 3.5 seems to be able to read this library and to upgrade it to 3.5
The Applications folder is showing the application as version 3.4 and as compatible. Spotlight is showing it as illegal.
When opening the chimera Aperture, I see plenty of warnings in the Console window:
    An Aperture "Hang" report
    xpcproxy assertion failed
com.apple.IconServiceAgent: main failed to composite image
    quicklookd: Warning
and more ... the hang was critical. I had to force quit Aperture more than once.
So be careful. I would not trust any important Aperture library to this patched application, without testing thoroughly. Be careful with your  precious photos.

  • When I click on video it is stuck on one tv show, when I click 'done' the screen goes black so I can't access any other video that I downloaded from iTunes onto my iPad 2. How do I troubleshoot?

The video on my iPad 2 is frozen on a tv show, although it will play the tv show until the end. At the end, when I click 'done' the screen goes black so I can't see the other movies that I've downloaded. I've shut down a few times but it reverts to the same thing. How can I re-set the video feature or do what is necessary to get it working again?

Have you tried resetting the iPad:
Reset iPad:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • How can I access old Time Machine backups after restoring from Time Machine?

Just restored my iMac and I can only see "Now" when I enter Time Machine. How can I see all the backups and dates I had before I restored?

While in Time Machine, press the key combination shift-command-C. The front window will show all mounted volumes. All snapshots should now be accessible. Select the one you want and navigate to the files you want to restore.

  • Photos not syncing after upgrading from Photoshop Elements 5 to 6

Since uprgading from PE 5 to PE 6 all changes I have made to my photo catalog have not been synced to my IPod 30GB.
I have a PC laptop using Win XP Pro which is always kept up-to-date automatically from Microsoft. All worked fine before the uprade to Photoshop Elements. Every time I added photos, or changed some, the next time I plugged the IPod in it would sync the changes to the IPod, but not now.
    Any ideas??

Unfortunately, the Sam proposition can't work because PSE 6 as changed the catalog format from MS Access to a another DB : SQLite (http://www.sqlite.org). Triying to change values in Regedit ist just useless.
I've triying myself to copy, and rename, the new PSE 6 catalog file from :
    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\Catalogs\[cat name]\My catalog.psedb
    to
    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Catalogues\My catalog.psa
    With no success.
As stated by Sam, iTunes look for the catalog file located in the following Key :
    [HKEYCURRENTUSER\Software\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Organizer]
    "CurrentDatabaseName"="My Catalog.psa".
In Fine, there is no (simple) solution until Apple decide to make iTunes "PSE 6 compatible".
In fact, the simplest way to transfer photo is to Export photos from the Album in a directory and then synchronize with iTunes from this Directory.
Key and path are for Vista...

  • Can't access any apps in ipodafter downloadig in itunes

can't access any apps in ipod after downloading in itunes

Have you tried a hard reset yet?  To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
If that doesn't work, try downloading another free app from the App Store.  This has been known to resolve the issue for a number of users.

  • Where are my devices? I can't access phone/photo cards or card reader.

All of a sudden, card readers, my phonev card and cards from my camera do not show on my apple home page. I can not access any photos. My only option is to download to my husband's and use a flash drive. What

Thank you for your prompt reply!
I was afraid you were going to tell me to do a hard reset! Unfortunately, I've never hot sync this phone before (I don't use it as a palm, only as a phone and occasionally play some of the games) so I don't have the program on my computer to back up my data. Given that I'm traveling (and never anticipated something like this) I did not bring the CD or the wire. Someone is in the process of mailing them to me.
In the meantime, you mentioned checking the memory? Although I don't think I'm short on memory space given that I don't really "save" anything on this device, I am desperate enough to try anything while waiting for the software to arrive. How do I go about checking the memory?
Once again thank you so much for your help.

There is no upgrade to iPhoto with OS X 10.10.3 - here was an update to version 9.6.1 a few months ago and Photo 1.0 was added with 10.10.3 - what software and which version are you having trouble with - iPhoto or Photos?
