Can't access contacts, numbers pad, voicemail, favorites. my screen is frozen on recent calls

All of a sudden I can't access my contacts, numbers pad, voicemail or favoites. My screen is frozen on recent calls. I can call from those listed but thats it. Is this related to the OS upgrade?

Close out of the phone app, double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.
Then do a reset, no data loss. Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
Then check again.

I'm guessing it's a server issue of some sorts.. maybe just some accounts. It's not the first time favorites has been broken, last time it was broken I just couldn't enter the favorites area. The spinny thing just appeared forever.
My fix: though nothing in favorites works (every time I press select on the show I want it displays the same error as you get), from the main menu with the TV shows menu open, but favorites not yet entered, press the up button and it'll move the cursor to the first image in the menu of rentals at the top of the screen. Easier anyway! Didn't know you could!
On top of that, though I'm now unable to rent via favorites itself, I can do so via the "top tv rentals" thing.

If you upgraded from previous OS, Look in Applications folder for an iWork folder and launch old Numbers from there.
If you clean installed, look for your old install disks for iWork and reinstall.
They will run on Mavericks but they need to be there.

Where in Apple can you get answers as to why one can't consistently access icloud and when you can you can't access contacts or notes etc?

One computer, can't sign into ICloud "encountered an error trying to connect to server". On the other computer left myself signed in and now can't access contacts or notes: "Can't load Contacts/Notes as there was a problem loading the application". This has been going on for about 3 weeks. What is up and what is being done about it?

Only Apple Account Security could help at this point. You can try calling Apple Support in Canada - you'll have to find one of the several ways, such as Skype, to call an 800 number from outside of the relevant country - and ask for Account Security and see if they can help. Or you can find a friend who speaks Chinese and ask them to help you talk to Apple Support in China. There are really no other options that I know of.
Note, by the way, that these are user-to-user support forums. You aren't speaking with Apple when you post here.

I can't access the delete button in my voicemail. I have used it before. I can barely see it below the timer line and below the line with Favorite, recents, contacts, keypad & voicemail.

My old E50 finally gave up and I bought a 2730 to replace it. My contacts are in PC Suite but I can't access them without connecting the phone first, which I can't as it's faulty. How can I access the contacts that I know are on the PC, without connecting the phone they came off? I don't have sync files.

You can search in PC Suite's data folder for files named *.db:

Can you access contacts from calendar

Hi I would love to be able to access contacts when entering an appointment in calendar, I mean it makes sense doesn't it , well to me anyway , your more likely to make an appointment in calendar with someone you know? And if you know them they are likely to be in contacts? So why not be able to create a new appointment and simply add all the details with one touch ie address mobile email etc I currently look up the person and copy and paste details but that's a faff!
Any ideas ?

I have same issues and I am still with Snow Leopard.. I am terrified to switch to Lion or Mountain Lion due to the fact I will lose all my Word documents I have created for many years. I have been with apple since the 80's I worked for them when the mouse was developed... It has far surpassed me I can't keep up anymore. icloud will not work with snow leopard and my iphone has icloud. my software won't keep up with any changes either, nor my printer. Everytime I let the computer add new updates something else goes haywire. My apple id, my passwords etc. I'm on fixed income and can't afford to keep up, does this mean I will lose all my pictures, documents, and sooooo many other items I have created over the years. I miss the good old fashion put a picture in a scrapbook to keep it. Now I have to save and print out everything I create in a document or risk losing it. I will become a hoarder of paperwork in order to save all my documents and writings that I have done and collected over the years.... Does anyone out there have a suggestion or solutions for good old me.... What good does it do to put things on a disc if you are unable to open them because your software can't read them anymore. PLEASE someone help me.....

I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on what you mean when you say that you can't access numbers on your iPhone. Are you not seeing the "123" option in the bottom left hand corner of the on-screen keyboard to change to the number keyboard input, as shown on the following page? Is this issue occuring in all text entry fields (say, for example, Notes), or just this password screen?

Can't access CONTACTS list

Just recently I can't access my list of Contacts on the Hub phone. When I press the Contacts button it just shows the symbol that whirrs round saying 'Please Wait'. I also get this if I press the button to access the list of received or dialled calls.
I have reset the Hub, taken the batteries out of the phone and re-inserted them, switch the Hub off at the mains and back on again.

It seems to me that, after years of using BT hub phones, they occasionally develop hiccups - it's nothing that you have done. It doesn't matter what you do to rectify the problem, it rights itself in its own time. In other words they have a mind of their own!

I can not find pages-numbers and other office doc after resetting my macbook air.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.
If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

E90 can't access contacts after FW upgrade

Hi, I am unable to access the contacts on the contacts bottons on the right corner & in communicator mode since update to latest FW, on a couple of occasions it appears, but now it doesn't, I like to know does anyone experience this & other weird behaviors?
In my opinion it's more detriment to the handset with update FW, I guess I learnt this the hard way, appreciate it.

I was able to access contacts only by restoring from memory card, what was the cause initially is still unknown.
I blame all the recent faults on the updated FW, no improvements was noticed from the previous FW.

Just upgraded to an iphone 6 (latest software) and download Skype again latest version (i have a skype number) on it.
Works fine but it does not ask for permission to access contacts on the phone so when someone rings it doesnt show their details from my iphone contacts list (which is sync'd with all IOS devices via icloud)
So basically it doesnt access my iphone 6 contacts so i dont have a clue who's calling and when i call there is no iphone contacts to choose from
Previously on other iphones (including an iphone 3GS which i have in front of me right now which is working fine) there was an option in SETTINGS > PRIVACY > CONTACTS to allow Skype to access iphone contacts. This option is NOT available on my iphone 6 and i cant work out why
Note: I dont want to have to add all my contacts as 'skype' contacts when they are on my iphone and worked fine on previous iphones/versions of skype
