Are there still profile folders present in that location?

Note that the "AppData" folder in Windows Vista and later Window 7+ versions and the "Application Data" folder in XP/Win2K are hidden folders.

You can use one of these to make Firefox create/use a new default profile:
*Delete the profiles.ini file to force Firefox to create a new default profile
*Use the Profile Manager to create a new profile
*Use "Choose Folder" when crating a new profile to recover an existing profile if there is still one present

I was in the middle of restoring the default settings on Firefox and it was in the process of cleaning up when my pc crashed. When I restarted I got the above problem. I first tried upgrading Firefox then I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and the problem still persists.
Users/user/AppData/Roaming/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles contains a file called 2nzoh7re.default-14046642433
I made some screen dumps but can't find a way to include them here. I also can't instal the Troubleshooting Information as it just produces the same persistent error message. I'm currently forced onto I.E. as I can't access Firefox.The default-1401496208367 profile is currently marked as the default profile (Default=1), so Firefox will search for a folder with this name.
If only the other folder is present then that explains the error message.
The numbers appended are Unix epoch time stamps that show the time/date the folder had been created.
* 1404664242433 = Sun 6 Jul 2014 16:30:42:433 GMT
* 1401496208367 = Sat 31 May 2014 00:30:08:367 GMT
So it looks that the crash didn't finish properly.
Is there an "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop? -
I have a Mac and I can't open firefox because it says "Profile Missing-Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible." Then I tried to delete it by moving it to trash and it says it cannot be moved to the trash.
Create a new profile to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

Firefox already running, profile missing or inaccessible, cannot kill in task manager

In the past I've (very rarely) had the "firefox is already running" error and was able to fix it by ending the process in task manager. I updated to firefox 36 the other day. Since then, firefox will run perfectly normally for a while, but after some time (varies from minutes to hours) I can no longer load new pages. The loading wheel just keeps spinning.
Once this has happened, if I quit firefox and try to open it again, it will give me "firefox already running" followed by "profile missing or inaccessible" error messages. If I go to task manager, sometimes no firefox.exe is there, sometimes it is and I cannot close it. In either case I still can't start the program.
I tried reinstalling firefox, which did not fix the issue. I've also tried creating a new profile, again to no avail. AVG picks up no malware. I did a system restore to a week ago, which seemed to work for a while, but the problem has started again. I'm looking for a solution other than installing an old version, if possible.Do you have the Firefox icon on your quick launch? Right click
on it, and select '''Open New Window.''' Sometimes this works.

This is not a cure but will make it easier if Firefox locks up in Windows.

I upgraded to the new version and something went funky. Tab weren't working. So thought I'd uninstall and reinstall and now I'm stuck in the cycle. I can't uninstall as it tells me that a previous version needs the computer to restart. I'll restart and then try again and get the same message. If I try to just reinstall, it get the same message. Right now, I can't access Firefox at all. Help!

I understand that you are unable to uninstall the software in order to re-install the software with your HP Officejet 8600. I am sorry for the frustration, but I am happy to help!
I am not sure which version of Windows you are using, but this should work with Windows XP and up. Please try a level-three uninstall by going through this fatal error guide, Fatal Error 'Error 1155. Not Found.' (MSI Error 1155) Displays During Software Installation in Windo.... Even though this guide does not match your error, I believe the level-three instructions will help.

Since yesterday when trying to use Firefox I've been getting error 'Profile missing or inaccessible'.
I've tried uninstalling & reinstalling it & from looking at advice to others with this problem I tried to access the Profile Manager but when I try to do that I again get the Profile missing error message.Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

The menus.xml file is normally in your personal configuration folder. Before going to the trouble of reinstalling, try deleting your configuration folder. Details of how to find it are here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/494812.
When you launch Dreamweaver, it should build a new configuration folder. -
After updating my OS X to 10.9.5, i can't access to Parallels Desktop. it is annoying. is there a way to fix?
I read in another discussion that you may need P10 to work with 10.9.5. Not sure why. I was running P8 then P9 with Mavericks through 10.9.4 and no issue. I recently went to P10 to be ready for Yosemite.

Besides the word Firefox is a reddish square. Clicking on either the word or the box makes it disappear down to the bottom try. I am at a loss. I've always used Firefox without any problems, now I can't access it. I deleted and reinstalled 4 times this morning. Help

I recently opened firefox after not using it for a long time. It asked me to update my profile or clean up my profile or something for a "better firefox experience". So I followed the directions and my computer froze stuck on a screen that said that my profile was being uploaded or something. So I restarted my computer and tried firefox again and I got the message "Your firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible." So I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox and the message remains. I cannot use firefox now. How do I fix this? Help!
P.S. I am using a Mac OS X 10.7.5Oh, also I saw on some other threads that you can try deleting a profiles.ini file, but for the life of me I cannot find that file anywhere on my Mac. I followed these instructions to try to get to the profiles.ini file (And they were nowhere to be found):

Can't access my PING Profile ( error 5002)
Please help. I have created a Ping profile. For some reason, I can access all the Ping pages but My Profile page. When I clicked on My Profile page, I am getting a 5002 error message. I thought it might be my iTune 10 on my iMac must be corrupted, I decided to login my iTune account using my Macbook Pro and I still get a 5002 error message when I tried accessing my Ping Profile page.
Hmmmm...interesting. I get a message saying:
+We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The iTunes Store is tempoarily unavailable. (5555)+
I only get that when I click on 'Edit Profile' in Ping. I can still access and purchase from the iTunes Store.

I downloaded internet explorer 9, and now i can't access firefox.
I leave my computer on 24/7.
Everything was working fine until 4/15/11.
4/15/11 Downloaded "Acrobat update...."
Downloaded "CA Internet Security Suite" Update
4/22/11 Next time on computer. I began having trouble with internet connection. Have to diagnose everytime, and do.... to correct problem.
5/1/11 Downloaded "adobe Reader Update."
This changed my browser settings, . (had a kitty design)
5/1/11 to 5/5/11 Between these dates I was asked if I wanted Yahoo to be my home page. I said yes.

5/13/11 I went to facebook to read two amber alerts, and clicking on their information an internet explorer msg about pop-up's, and I clicked on "allow once."
I moved around in the website, opened a tab to the home page, and another to another page in the website. Then I couldn't close them. I had to restart my computer.

ckittiesDid you install the Java Runtime Environment? Launch the Java Preferences.app in /Utilities and if you haven't installed JRE, you'll get prompted to do so. Once that's done, ensure that you've enabled applet plug-in and Web Start apps. Also, ensure that you've enabled Java in your browser.
