Can't access home page in itunes store

I've been looking and I haven't found anyone else with the exact same problem as me. I have a mac OS X 10.4.11 and the latest itunes (9.2). I can do anything in the itunes store I want besides access the itunes store home page. I can search, I can go to the music and movie subsections, etc. but when I click on the home button it displays the message "We could not complete you iTunes Store request. You do not have permission to access the requested resource." and then, underneath that, in smaller print, it says "There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later." I've been having this problem for weeks. Please Help!!

Try without logon.faces in the url.

Also log into Tomcat manager and check whether all the war files are running.

Which makes perfectly sense, because there is no such file, and nowhere else, too.
Seems that no database scheme and instance where created while installation.
[s]Is there a chance to do this after installation, i tried the installer now the second time, so i don't see a chance in reinstallation for the third time?[s]
The third installation worked out and now the database is running.
I still don't now what i did wrong before (since i did the same), but who minds if it works now...
    Thanks!

  • Can't access DotMac email or iTunes Store account

    Hi Folks,
I have just bought a MacBook and migrated everything from my old 17" iMac (USB modem). I have bought a Belkin wireless router for the new laptop and can access internet no problem. In fact, the wireless connection is faster than my old wired iMac.
    The problem is two-fold.
    1) I cannot download my email from the DotMac server. I can send mail no problem, even receive it on my other Virgin email account, but not DotMac. Entourage knows the mail is there (it tells me how many messages are waiting), but it freezes and eventually times out.
    2) I cannot access my iTunes Store account. I need to authorize this laptop to play my music but anytime i need to access the account, the "Accessing iTunes Store..." message appears and stays forever.
I am thinking that there is a problem with my dotmac account as both these problems use the same details, but perhaps it is the wireless connection blocking it?
    Any tips gratefully received.
    Thanks
    Jamie

There are several ways, but some of them depend on whether you use airport a lot, and whether you loose your settings when it sleeps and wakes.
What I've been playing around with, and what would probably work best for you in the near term:
    System Preferences -> Network
Then select the Ethernet interface you want to set this on.
Click the Advanced button in the lower right hand corner. Then select the Ethernet tab on the right side of the list of new tabs.
You'll then see a list of settings, mostly greyed out. For the Configure: setting, change from Automatically to Manually, leave all other settings the same, except for MTU: which should be showing Custom, if not set it to Custom, and make sure the value in the dialog box below it is 1400. Then click OK. When you get back to the main screen for Network and with the interface you did this on still selected, hit apply.
This is not optimal, but until Apple fixes the network code to handle the built in default. You'll want to undo this (set it back to Automatically). When that will be, I don't know. I'll probably try it out with 10.5.2 whenever that is.
I haven't verified yet that this keeps across reboots. I'll probably try with my macbook while I'm watching the game.

  • Can't Access home page on Windows XP...how to re-install?

I installed Oracle XE on a windows XP machine and it's not working. I believe the issue is that I log into my machine on a Windows domain, but I installed XE while at home and not connected via it. I then saw the note on the Oracle site about making sure you are connected to the network before installing. So I uninstalled and re-installed to solve the problem, but still can't get to the home page. Noting is running on port 8080.
How do I uninstall and re-install or otherwise correct this problem once I've had a bad install?
    Thanks,
    Don

Sorry for the slow response. I finally solved my problem. I can't explain why this works, but maybe this will help others.
When I typically log into my machine I log into a "kerberos domain" (for me "stanford.edu"). Our IT folks have set this up so that doing this also logs you in to the WIN domain as well, but you get an extra kerberos certificate for logging into other applications we commonly use.
So while logged into the kerberos domain, I uninstalled the "failed" installation of Oracle XE. Then I logged out (and rebooted for the heck of it).
I logged back in using the WIN domain (e.g. WIN/myusername) and ran the Oracle XE Universal installer.
It worked and the Oracle XS home page came up.
I logged out of Windows (and rebooted again for the heck of it).
I logged back in under my normal kerberos domain and Oracle XE continues to work.
Hopefully someone with more knowledge of Windows domains and authentication can explain why this worked.
Fyi...if I go to Control Panel > User Accounts, I can see an entry there with my username and the domain WIN. This entry has the groups ORA_DBA and Administrator. There is no other entry for the "kerberos" domain I usually log into (since it supposedly logs me into the WIN domain behind the scenes).
Good luck if you run into this problem

  • Can't access Home Page - Oracle Database 10g Express Edition...

    Hi,
I have been running the Oracle Database 10g Express Edition on my Windows XP machine for years from this location:
    C:\Applications\OracleDatabaseExpress\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\Database_homepage.url
In Properties of the Database_homepage.url file, the URL is:
    http://127.0.0.1:8080/apex
However, when I double-click on the Database_homepage.url file, I get the message "The Page cannot be displayed" in IE. I do run the "net start OracleXETNSListener" utility first.
I only ran it last week. After that, I did run a couple of virus checks that deleted a couple of trojan viruses.
What could have gone wrong suddenly? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!

  • HT204406 I purchased music on my iPad (and it works fine).  It populated my purchased list on my home computer but will not download ?? when I access it in the iTunes store I can click on play but nothing happens-how do I get it to download on my computer

I purchased music on my iPad (and it works fine).  It populated my purchased list on my home computer but will not download (purchase is no longer a given option) ?? when I access it in the iTunes store I can click on play but nothing happens…how do I get it to download on my computer ?

If you connect your iPad to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases then it should copy over to your iTunes library. Depending upon what country that you are in you might also be able to redownload it on your computer's iTunes via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage.

I'd maybe try doing a search for Safari on your iPad first (swipe to the left to search). If it shows up in that search you can go to Settings > General > Reset and choose 'reset home screen layout' which will put it back where it would be by default.
    All else fails? Restore it.

  • Reset Safari -- Now I Can No Longer Access Secure Sites Or iTunes Store.

Hi, A few days ago I reset Safari (I'm still not sure why... boredom??). Well, now I'm paying for it. Now I can't access secure sites (such as gmail, bank accounts, etc.). in Safari. When trying to access a secure site I get an error window that reads something along the lines of: "Safari can’t open the page because it couldn’t establish a secure connection to the server." Even more annoying, I can't access my account on iTunes or access the iTunes store. When trying to do so an error window pops up that reads: "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. The requested keychain was invalid. Open keychain access and run Keychain first aid, then try again."... Did all that. No help. Incidentally, all my keychains are now gone).
I tried accessing the secure sites through Firefox, which still works fine. But the iTunes problem persists no matter what.
Has anyone else been encountered these same problems or know what I need to do to fix them? Any advice would be appreciated. I'm stuck!
    Thanks in advance!

Still having this problem - is there no one out there who can help me? Surely someone must have had this happen before, no? You're all making me feel really stupid!!

  • Whilst setting up home share on my husband's laptop was quite easy I can't find a home page on iTunes on my new iPad to do it?

Whilst setting up home share on my husband's laptop was quite easy I can't find a home page on iTunes on my new iPad to do it?

The ID you use for home sharing should be the same on all devices, it doesn't need to be the same ID you use for other things.
So if together you have the ID's [email protected] and [email protected] (say) then you might use [email protected] for your iTunes Store account and [email protected] for home sharing and he might use [email protected] for his iTunes Store account and [email protected] for home sharing

  • HT5699 I forgot the answers for security questions, how can I reset them and get the access back to the iTunes store?

Need help to get access to iTunes store. I bought an iTunes card bor buying on iTunes store.
I forgot the answers for security questions, how can I reset them and get the access back to the iTunes store?

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 . Or you could change to 2-step verification : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5570

  • On iTunes 11, how can I access home sharing if the music is from a CD? Is there any way I can download these songs if (A) I no longer have the CD, or (B) I do not want to pay $25 a year for iTunes Match?

On iTunes 11, how can I access home sharing if the music is from a CD on a different computer using Home Sharing? Is there any way I can download these songs if (A) I no longer have the CD, or (B) I do not want to pay $25 a year for iTunes Match?

Yes, you can copy songs that you ripped from a CD to your Home Sharing computer.
Turn on Home Sharing first on both computers.  To do that, go to File > Home Sharing > Turn on Home Sharing.  Enter your Apple ID and password.
Now go to your computer that you want to copy the songs to and connect to your Home Share.  You can do that by clicking on the popover button located at the left top corner right below the play control buttons.  Click on it and scroll to the bottom until you see your Home Share and select it.
Go to Music in your Home Share.  Select the songs that you want to copy in your Home Share and click Import at the bottom right corner.
