Can't access iPhone apps throught iPhone

I tried to access apps store and everytime i try to purchase an application it says i can't because I have a US Apple ID. The funny thing is, I am in the United States. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem; where the phone is mis-reading a location?

I am having the same problem in Australia. I go into app store on my iPhone and try to download an app, then when I try to log on it tells me this account can only dl in australia. But the app store is in English and shows the amount in aud. It worked fine a few hrs ago, I was able to log on and dl apps. Then I try again and can't! All my settings are correct and last time I sync with iTunes it was in the australia store. Don't know what is wrong with it!

Thanks for your response. I thought that with my iPhone 4 I was able to go pretty far back to retrieve phone numbers of calls received and placed. With the iPhone 5, I see that I am only able to go back as far as a week or so, then there are only saved FaceTime call contact numbers prior to that. Is there anyway to access those old numbers? Like so many others, after updating to OS6 and changing my iCloud password, none of my devices (iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, iMac etc) could connect to the tunes store, the error message was something "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. Make sure your network connection is active and try again." However, there was nothing wrong with my internet connection - programs like Safari & Mail worked just fine.
After trawling through the discussions and trying the recommendations (change time/date, activate location services, reset network settings etc) I just became more frustrated.
I figured that if iTunes thought my network connection was the problem, maybe I should try tricking it and, after much trial, error and frustration, I did find a solution - and it may work for you...
I turned off WiFi on my iPhone, then connected to my telco's 3G network, then connected to the iTunes store and it worked fine. Then I switched back to WiFi and all is good. Did the same for the iPad. For the MacBook and iMac I turned off WiFi then tethered the iPhone on the 3G network to the computer, then connected to iTunes Store, then went back to WiFi. For some reason that I don't understand, this all went as planned and now everything works.
Anyway, I thought I should contribute to the community by letting you know the solution I found. Of course, this may not necessarily work for you, but it's worth a shot.

That wasn't a very good idea. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another or merge Apple IDs. Not for anyone. All of the content that you got free or bought with the old ID is forever associated with that ID. You cannot redownload or update any of it without the old Apple ID.

Your profile indicates your Mac is running v10.7.2
If that is correct, updating your system software may help.
Click Software Update from the Apple menu.
Restart your Mac after updates are installed then try the App Store.
If you can't update that way, there's a workaround.
Install the OS X Lion Update 10.7.5 (Client Combo)
Then restart your Mac and try the App Store.

Force close the App Store app and reset the iPad. No data will be lost when you reset the device.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Quit the App Store app and reset your iPad.

I've disabled the firewalls, the virus protection, the application protection - nothing helps.

I'd maybe try doing a search for Safari on your iPad first (swipe to the left to search). If it shows up in that search you can go to Settings > General > Reset and choose 'reset home screen layout' which will put it back where it would be by default.
All else fails? Restore it.

That is because they only work on iOS devices.
As for the other issue, connect the device, select it in the left hand pane. In the right pane, select the Apps tab. Is Sync Apps checked? Is the specific App(s) checked? Is Automatically sync new apps checked?
Any errors in iTunes or on the device when syncing?
