Can't access itunes songs from an old e-mail id

I just purchased a new iPod and am adding songs. One of the songs I try to drop and grag is blocked and itunes asks for the password to an old e-mail address I have not used in 6 years. How can I authorize the song now that I don't recall that re-mail password anymore?

I don't know the answer to the first part (why you can't get to iTunes through Tiger), but regarding the second part, deauthorizing will not cause you to lose any information. While deauthorized, you won't be able to access some information, but it won't be erased or removed.

If you right mouse and select Get info it will show you the Apple ID used to purchase these songs.
Usually the name of an apple id is based on the email. So knowing that you may have forgotten the Apple ID password.

You may think you are connected to the internet, but maybe not. Click on Safari and see if it connects.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

Really not suitable.. The TC is a dumb hard disk in a router.. it is not a media server..
You can move your itunes library to the TC.. but if you do that.. one day the TC will die and take your library with it.. as well as giving slow response to every network device.. this is really not suitable.

I want to move all of my iphoto library and my iTunes songs from my iMac G5 to my new iMac (Intel)...what is the least expensive and quickest way to do this?

For iPhoto:
To move an iPhoto Library to a new machine:
Link the two Macs together: there are several ways to do this: Wireless Network,Firewire Target Disk Mode, Ethernet, or even just copy the Library to an external HD and then on to the new machine...
But however you do choose to link the two machines...
Simply copy the iPhoto Library from the Pictures Folder on the old Machine to the Pictures Folder on the new Machine.
Then launch iPhoto. That's it.
This moves photos, events, albums, books, keywords, slideshows and everything else.

Can't access iTunes store from old mac running os 10.4

Hi... I have an Mac G4 (PowerPC) running OS X 10.4.11 (Tiger). It's running the most current version of iTunes that was supported by that OS version. I'm getting rid of that old machine soon and all I wanted to do was de-authorize iTunes from that computer. The computer is clearly connected to the Internet but when I open iTunes and try to get it to connect to the iTunes Store, it constantly says an error occurred and it then says to check to see that the computer is connected to the network.
Any ideas why I can't connect to iTunes??? I clearly know the login information so that's not the problem. Is the iTunes store no longer supporting OS X Tiger or something like that???
On a related question, I see where I can de-authorize all computers from another computer and then reauthorize on the couple of computers where I still want to be able to use iTunes and the store. Is there any danger with this deauthorize and then reauthorize concept??? Do I risk losing anything on the computers I still want to be authorize to access iTunes???

Access iTunes songs from external drive of old computer

Hi,
My old laptop’s video chip died and it made more sense to buy a new computer. The hard drive was fine, so I had it put into an external case. Unfortunately, there was music from CDs in that iTunes that I didn’t have in my iPod. I installed iTunes on my new computer that’s also running XP and it now has music on it from CDs as well, so if possible, I don’t want to simply replace the new iTunes music folder with the old one. I’d appreciate any thoughts on this.

I just copied the iTunes .itl, .xml(not sure if I needed this one) files from the old HD onto the new C: drive, and it made a copy so now there are files named "iTunes library (2) Extras; (2) Genuius; ITunes Library (2), etc. I told it not to replace the existing ones as I didn't want to cause any other issues. Am I safe to delete the original files and just take the (2) off the file names or am I better off to leave as is? I did another shift-open and directed it to that library (2) file and it opened my library. Thanks again for the help, I really appreciate it.

Can't import itunes songs from imovie

When I try to play a song from my itunes list on imovie it doesn't play. Then if I drag it into the movie I get the following error message:
"The file could not be imported: The file could not be found."
If I open itunes I can drag the same song in and it will work. It's just a hassle to do so. Any help?

Sorry that didn't work.
Are the songs you cannot import purchased songs from iTunes Music Store? If so, you will need to burn them to a CD and reimport them into iTunes and then they will work.
Or, if you are having problems with only one or two songs, you can use WireTap to record these and then import the resultant AIFC file into iMovie. You can find WireTap here
If you are having problems with all songs regardless of whether they were purchased or imported from your own cds, then the problem is with your iTunes. Try deleting the iTunes plist (Same pathway, just a different com.apple.iTunesplist).
Post back if neither of these helps.

You need to give us some more detailed information such as what kind of laptop you have, are you getting any error messages or error codes on these failed burns, how are you trying to burn the purchased music as audio CD or data CD?
