Can't access my packages.

I have created several packages, but I keep on getting the same error message, which is "Bad class name Class1.class". The compiler then tells me the path to my class file(in the package), and then advices me to place it in the correct subdirectory. I have written like four different packages with the same problem. Any hints? I would be most grateful, cos i'm going nuts.

    My macbook pro crashed after installing maverick. I lost all my photos however the iPhone iPhoto app still has these photos so how can i access the package contents to recover these photos?

    We'll need to know more to beable to help. Do you want to try to restore your photos from your iPhone to your Mac, or try to recover the photos from the old iPhoto Library on your Mac?
    What is the situation of your Mac now? In hat way did it crash? A hardware problem with the drive? Does the system not start properly? Does iPhoto not launch? Do you still have the iPhoto Library on your mac or a backup, so we could try to rescue the photos there?
    What versions of iPhoto are on your iPhone and your Mac?
    however the iPhone iPhoto app still has these photos so how can i access the package contents to recover these photos?
    On the iPhone you cannot access the "package contents" - IOS hides the file system from the users. To restore photos from your phone share all iPhoto photos to your Camera Roll, that are not already in the Camera Roll,  and then connect the iPhone via USB and import the Camera Roll to iPhoto or Image Capture. Or use any of the other sharing methods described on thos manual page: see:  Ways to share photos http://help.apple.com/iphoto/iphone/2.0/?handbuch#blnk7d8f763e
    To retrieve photos from a corruptrd iPhoto Library on your Mac we need to know the version number and more about the "crash" you experienced, the state of your mac, the system, the data. Please post back with more details.

  • Pacman can't access package repositories.

    I've recently installed Arch Linux via virtual machine and I've been trying to download Xfce. However, when I try "pacman -S xfce4", it says it can't find the package. Looking on the wiki page told me to try "pacman -Syy" to force update the repositories, and here's what I got:
    "error: failed to update core (no servers configured for repository)
    error: failed to update extra (no servers configured for repository)
    error: failed to update community (no servers configured for repository)
    error: failed to synchronize any databases
    I've tried checking if I have any connection by pinging Google, and I do. So, wat do?

    Check if you have uncommented the servers in pacman.conf:

    # Add your preferred servers here, they will be used first
    Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
    If you have a '#' at the beginning of the line starting with 'Include' - remove it and try again.

  • How can i access all the objects of one schema from another schema

    Dear All,
    How can i access all the objects(Tables,Views,Triggers,Procedures,Functions,Packages etc..) and do the modifications of one schema from another schema (Without using synonyms concept).
    Thanks in advance,
    Mahi

    First of all, synonyms only help you easy reference the object. It doesn't have any implication of object privilege.
    As long as you have proper privilege on target object. You can access it with or without synonyms.
    Assuming you have proper privilege of objects, you can use following command to assume schema owner.
    ALTER SESSION SET CURRENT_SCHEMA = Schema_owner

  • Can't Access Aperture Photos from Other Applications

    I am using the trial version of Aperture. I can't access the photos in Aperture from Photoshop, Word or any other application (except Mail). I can see the icon for Aperture and the words "Aperture 3 Trial Library" but it is grayed out. Is there a setting or what? I have Snow Leopard and Mac OS X 10.6.5.

    I guess one thing that bothers me about all my pictures being "bundled" in iPhoto or Aperture is that they don't show up in the Finder.
    This is a real non-issue. A Package is simply a folder that looks like a file. Want to look inside? Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library or the Aperture Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
    See? There are all your files, in folders.
    Why are they Packaged? Because if you move, rename, or alter them then you will corrupt your Library. So it's a simple protection for the structure of the Library. That's all. No big secret.
    But there are other things you need to consider too.
    Supposing you want to attach a file to an Email in Aperture. Presumably you want to send the edited file of your photo. So, how do you do that +when there is no edited file+? Aperture doesn't actually edit the file at all it simply records the decisions you have taken and shows them to live when you view the pic. All your edits are "virtual". So, the fact that your original files are stored out the the package will be no help to you at all.
    iPhoto is pretty much the same - though the details are different.
    So, you have to use the applications when you want to access the files for whatever reason - editing, printing, sharing, whatever. That's the point of these apps. They are your Photo Manager, what AddressBook is to your Contacts, iTunes is to your Music and so on.
    Here's a macro I use for when these questions come up on the iPhoto Forum. Most - if not all - of these will also work for Aperture:
    You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
    *_(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)_*
    You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
    If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto or Aperture
    If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
    *If you want to access the files with iPhoto or Aperture not running*:
    For users of 10.6 and later:
    You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu. Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
    *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. This produces, producing a copy.

    Trying to upload some photos to an e-mail an I get a message that says "The iPhoto Library is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have permission to make changes to it."  To where do I navigate to unlock this so I can have access to my photo library?

    Couple of things to try:
    Restart your mac and try launch iPhoto again.
    If that fails:
    Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
    Look there for a file called ‘iPhoto’Lock.data or similar. Drag it to the Desktop. Make no other changes. Start iPhoto. Does that help?
    If not: Where is your iPhoto Library stored? If it's on an External Disk, what format is that?

  • Replaced hard drive, but can't access Time Machine backups of old drive

    My internal hard drive was failing so I replaced it. I told the people that replaced it that I could install the System myself and that I had backups of my data.
    So, I got the machine home, booted up from the Snow Leopard Install DVD and selected Restore from Time Machine. I chose the last backup which was Mountain Lion 10.8.2. It crashed after several minutes.
    So, I restarted. But I had my finger on the Control key rather than the Option key, so it booted to on-line recovery mode. When it asked me if I wanted to restore Lion I decided, "Sure. Why not? Since the restore from Time Machine doesn't work." That took about six hours.
    Then I went to the App store and downloaded Mountain Lion. Another six hours and that is done.
    Now I can't access the backups on Time Machine. They appear to be there. It shows backups to Feb 2011, which is when I installed Time Machine on an external drive. But I can only access databacked up from my new drive and Admin account.
    Last night Browse Other Drives for Time Machine at least showed the old backups. After shutting down overnight only the new backups show.
    I've run verify and repair on the external and it's okay.
    Please tell me I can get that data back. There's over a decade of stuff there going back two other Macs. Photos, important documents, all my writing are there. I really need it back and I can't understand why I can't get back.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi all... I had a very similar issue.  I had a hard drive replaced by Apple on my iMac due to a total hard drive failure.  I attempted to restore my last time machine back up through my time capsule but I get some type of sparse bundle package error.  It appears that something is coming back from the back up as I only have about 180GB remaining space out of 1TB.  Any advice?  It appears that Apple had re-installed the latest version of Lion back to my hard drive.  I'm completely distraught here as like Romantic Heretic, I have over a decade of information currently lost.
    Any help with step by step directions would be GREATLY appreciated.

  • [Solved] Owncloud can't access remotely if not on root of server

    I installed Owncloud on a new archlinux server I have. It will be used as a firewall and router (it has 2 nics)
    The default owncloud package from AUR makes a config file for apache that creates a virtual host on port 80 of the server pointing to owncloud.
    So when I browse the servers IP from the lan, I get owncloud's web interface.
    But I want to access that interface from a /owncloud address so I can use the root of the web server to host a page with links to different services and some info that will be useful for the people on that lan. So I removed the virtual host from the conf file.
    Now i can only access the web interface if i browse on the server it self. But when I try from a computer on the lan I get the "https" on the url bar and a "can't connect" error.
    the modified owncloud.conf for the apache server is this: http://pastebin.com/nJrYWh3r
    How can I "move" the owncloud to use 192.168.0.1/owncloud on the lan for the web interface?

    the symlink works if I remove apaches owncloud conf file.
    I'll mark this as solved, but it should work with the conf file in place, not the symlink on the filesystem.

  • User can't access camera anymore, root still can [SOLVED]

    since the last udev update, i can't access my camera anymore as user. gtkam gives this error:
    An error occurred in the io-library ('Could not find the requested device on the USB port'): Could not find USB device (class 0x6, subclass 0x1, protocol 0x1). Make sure this device is connected to the computer.
    the camera is a canon A75, vendor 04a9, product ID 305b. lsusb says it's connected to Bus 001 Device 011. i added that info to a custom 010.udev.rules file, but i don't know where to add the USB info. :?: user is in the camera group, btw.
    ACTION=="add", SYSFS{idVendor}=="04a9", SYSFS{idProduct}=="305b", RUN+="/bin/chmod o-rwx $env{DEVICE}"
    ACTION=="add", SYSFS{idVendor}=="04a9", SYSFS{idProduct}=="305b", RUN+="/bin/chgrp users $env{DEVICE}"
    ACTION=="add", SYSFS{idVendor}=="04a9", SYSFS{idProduct}=="305b", RUN+="/bin/chmod g+rw $env{DEVICE}", OPTIONS="last_rule"
    thanks for any help.
    >>edit: turns out root can't access the photos, either. the camera is detected and the photos load and show up in gtkam, but when i try to save them i get an error, e.g., "Problem getting 'IMG_0332.JPG' from folder '/store_00010001/DCIM/103CANON'."  wtf? :?:
    >>edit2: okay, i got it by adding
    SYSFS{idVendor}=="04a9", SYSFS{idProduct}=="305b", GROUP:="camera"
    to a 00.gphoto.udev.rules file and restarting udev (i never noticed b4, but no script? i had to kill udevd and do /usr/sbin/udevd -d).
    is that just a kluge fix though? i don't know anything about udev to know if that's the best way to do it, or if there's a better, more "correct" way. i just want to be able to access the camera from now on without having to change rules or mess around with udev anymore (i thought the point of udev was to have transparency to the user? ). thanks.
    >> edit again: i love having conversations with myself.
    okay, i didn't even notice the gphoto.rules file bfore, but i just added the information for my camera to the file, restarted udev, and it seems to work. if the maintainer wants to add the info for canon A75 to the file, the line is:
    ATTRS{idVendor}=="04a9", ATTRS{idProduct}=="305b", GROUP="camera"

    lanrat wrote:
    Nice conversation :-)
    If your camera isn't already in gphoto.rules you should report it to package maintainer (feature request) and/or gphoto devs.
    I wouldn't modify standard gphoto.rules. I'd rather put this rule in /etc/udev/rules.d/00.udev.rules:
    ATTRS{idVendor}=="04a9", ATTRS{idProduct}=="305b", GROUP:="camera"
    to avoid overwriting after next update.
    For restarting udev there is /etc/start_udev (or udev_start or something like this - I can't remember it :-))
    thanks, it is /etc/start_udev - i was looking in /etc/rc.d.
    i moved it back to 00.gphoto.rules so it won't get overwritten.
    now that it's verified working in the standard rules, i'll make a report to the devs to add the cam there.
    is your method for doing this in the wiki? i pretty much only figured out how to do it by reading your posts. if you have time, i think it would be a great wiki item.  8)

    Hello,
    I think that you use the import-declarations incorrectly.
    Your code says:
    import com.zswingpackage1;
    ... The meaning of the above declaration is the following: Import the class "zswingpackage1" from the package "com". The compiler cannot find that class, but it is probably never asked to find it in your code, so it won't report an error.
    If you want to import the whole package use the following declaration instead:
    import com.zswingpackage1.*;
    ... That means: import all classes from from the package "com.zswingpackage1".
    You can also import just the classes needed, e.g.:
    import com.zswingpackage1.swing_optgrp_eg1;
    ... I hope that does the job.

    public class Constant
         public static final String NEW = "01";
    package util;

    public class Connection
    I am unable to compile the class Connection. My question here is Won't I able to access default package in my util package.. ?

    Djaunl , I understand.
    but, Will I able to access default package in my util package.. ? is this correct.No, you won't be able to use classes out of the "default" package.
    Because, AFAIK, if you use a classname that you haven't imported, Java automatically attempts to locate this class in the same package as the current class. It does not check the "default" package (unless that is also the current package), and since the "default" package does not have a package name, you can't import those classes either.

  • Can't access my iphoto files!

    So I'm not sure if I'm totally ignorant or what...
    I'm on my MacBook Pro and I'm in an email and want to attach a photo from iphoto. I go to "Pictures" on the left hand side of my finder and my iphoto library is greyed out and I can't click on it. I made sure I was able to access it with "read and write" but it's not working!
    I tried to "drag" the photo from iphoto to my gmail and the whole page just becomes the picture.
    So strange...the only way I can find the photo is if I spotlight search for the file name and attach it like that. Any other suggestions??
    Thanks

    With iPhoto 7 (iLife 08) the old iPhoto Library Folder is now a Unix Style Package File. The change was made to the format of the iPhoto library because many users were inadvertently corrupting their library by browsing through it with other software or making changes in it themselves.
    There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
    For 10.5 users: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Apple-Click for selecting multiple pics.
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
    To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
    This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. If you're using Gmail you can use iPhoto2GMail
    If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto. With 10.5 you can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
    If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
    Or, if you want to access the files with iPhoto not running, then create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
    Other options include:
    1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

    2 - go to your Pictures folder and open the iPhoto Library package as shown below:
    3 - locate a file named AlbumData.xml and move it to the Desktop.
    4 - launch iPhoto.
    5 - relaunch the other programs and try the media browser again.
