Can't access one specific website

I've been trying to visit this website for like a year now and I get the below message. http://www.alltrafficsolutions.com
"Safari could not open the page “http://www.alltrafficsolutions.com/” because the server stopped responding."
It happens on both my Macs (1.8 Ghz PowerPC G5 & eMac, OS 10.4.6, & 10.3) and all the browsers.
My ISP (cogeco cable - RCA box) said it opened fine for them and it wasn't them blocking it... they had me disconnect my router (d-link) and connect it directly to my computer but that didn't help.
I'm in Canada right now and thought it might be some kind of "international block" but I tried it on a friends dialup and it opened fine.
It's got me baffled.... any Ideas?

Weird site, though it works from here in Safari, when I Ping it I get...
Ping has started ...
PING www.alltrafficsolutions.com (66.221.69.2): 56 data bytes
--- www.alltrafficsolutions.com ping statistics ---
10 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss
So perhaps they have Pong turned off... and maybe other weird stuff.
If Dialup works and BB doesn't, I suspect some timing issue, like how long a Browser waits for a reply, which I vaguely remember seeing in some .plist.

I'm unable to access one specific web site without clearin all history each time I access.   I dont have this problem accessing any other website.   My system is too old for Apple support.   Has anyone experienced this before?  Thank you

Hi shldr2thewheel.  the option you provided says the site is up.  I still receive the message that Safari can reach the server.   I have checked w/th site owner and the isp and they say to contact the manufacturer.  I'm stumped.  do you have another suggestion?   Thank you

  • Can't access a specific website

For some reason I can't access this website:
    http://www.chandlersmillwork.com/
I called the company looking for info on a project and they sent me the link directly in an email so I know the spelling is correct. I've tried opening the page in Safari, Firefox and even IE. No luck in any app, none of them can connect to server. I've emptied their caches, repaired permissions on my boot drive, checked that nothing was checked in my proxy settings and restarted. Still can't access it using any browser.
I know for a fact the site is active because I've had people using different ISPs access the site and tell me it works for them, on both Macs and PCs.
Any idea why this won't load for me?

Haven't installed AV software or any type of parental controls whatsoever.
216.40.227.204 just brings me to an Apache cPanel page.
This is really strange why it won't come up for me but will for everyone else. I've never been to the site before as far as I know so I don't see any way I could have blocked it somehow either.

  • Help - can't access one website from my Macs, but I can on my PCs

A couple of days ago, I stopped being able to access at least one specific website on my Mac.
It’s my own domain so I haven’t been banned or blocked.
Everyone else can access the site, so it’s not down.
I can access the site from the PCs in my house, so it’s not an ISP issue.
I cannot access it from FTP, Firefox, Safari, or anything else on my Mac, so it’s not a browser issue.
I can access every other site I’ve tried, so it’s not an internet issue.
I’ve repaired permissions. I’ve rebooted several times.
    What gives? Any ideas?
I just tried it on my brother’s computers on the SAME network. His PC could access it but not his Mac. So it appears isolated to Macs on this network.
    I'm baffled.

Have tried everything: - all the suggestions on this page, and from this thread too: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=755113&tstart=135
    Using Asante FriendlyNet ethernet hub
Neither a G4 desktop or an iBook can connect to these sites:

    http://206.210.28.33/
My ISP provided the DNS information to try (oh, yeah, the ISP can access all the sites)
    These actions were unsuccesful:
    Three browsers
Bypassed hub and connected Mac to cable modem directly
Disconnected power from cable modem 2 minutes
    Norton Firewall disabled
    Used different hub port
    Restarted
    Signed out
    Deleted Safari plists
    Emptied Safari cache.
    Deleted Safari cache folder
    Dragged InputManagers from their folders
    Repaired permissions
    No Network Proxies enabled

  • One specific website won't load

While browsing the internet on my laptop (late 2011 MacBook Pro, 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 processor), I have one specific website that will not load. It's worked in the past, but has suddenly stopped working.
My software and OS are up-to-date (OS X 10.9.5), and I've scanned for viruses (Intego VirusBarrier). I've tried multiple networks (WiFi only, no ethernet), haven't changed my network or firewall settings, and have tried disabling my firewall (Intego NetBarrier). I've tried multiple browsers (Safari, Firefox, and Chrome), reset Safari to clear my cookies and cache, and have disabled the one browser extension I use.
I've been able to access the site on other computers and on my iPhone, all on my primary network. I've opened the terminal and used the host command, and I know my computer is able to interpret the site's IP (something about verifying the DSN?). As best I can tell, this is not an issue with the website, but with my laptop.
    Any ideas?

I have a few suggestions to try:
    1) Completely uninstall VirusBarrier.  There is simply no need for additional antivirus or firewall products on a Mac with a current OS version.  Third-party firewall and antivirus products cause more problems on Macs than the ever prevent.
Next, do the following side-by side on both your Mac that can't visit the site and one that can.  Compare what you see between the two.
    2) Check "System Preferences" > "Network" > "Advanced" > "Proxies".  None of the boxes should be selected under "select a protocol".
    2) Check "System Preferences" > "Network" > "Advanced" > "DNS".
    3) Open a terminal window, enter the following command and hit return:
    cat /etc/hosts
You should only see the following entries:
    # Host Database
    # localhost is used to configure the loopback interface
    # when the system is booting.  Do not change this entry.
    127.0.0.1 localhost
    255.255.255.255 broadcasthost
    ::1            localhost
    fe80::1%lo0 localhost
If you see additional entries let us know.
After comparing your Proxy, DNS, and hosts file of a Mac that can reach the site and the one that can't, let us know what differences you see.

  • Flashplayer not working on one specific website

Recently, flashplayer stopped showing embedded videos on a specific webpage.  Blank white space appears where the video should be.  I can right click on this white space and launch the FP settings program, but the embedded videos neither show nor play.  It is only one specific website--FP works on Youtube and (thus far) everywhere else I've tried it.  The specific webpage I'm experiencing the problem with does not show flash content in either Firefox and IE.
I fear I've changed some setting for this specific page, but for the life of me, can't figure out what that setting might have been.  I've been through all the checklists on the Adobe site that I can find, but nothing seems to work.  Has anyone experienced anything similar?  And how did you solve the problem?
    Thanks?

    Sorry.
    I'm using Windows 7 (vers 6.1)
    Firefox 21.0
    IE 10.0.9200.16540  Update versions: 10.0.4 (KB2817183)
Flashplayer vers is 11,7,700,202 (I've reinstalled it a couple of times today).
the webpage is my own http://jagobcwrestlingart.blogspot.com/ .  There is an embedded video is the very latest entry (April 6).  The embedded videos do work for everyone else (I've tested it on a friend's computer myself).  Apparently I am the only one unable to view the embedded videos on my own site!

  • Can not get a specific website to load in either Safari or Firefox?

Can not get a specific website to load in either Safari or Firefox on my MacBook Pro.  Website loads on other devices such as iPhone, PC, etc.  I've tried emptying the Cache in Safari.  Any other suggestions?

The problem I am having is that this website will not load on my MacBook Pro.  I don't know if it has something to do with the fact that the website was created on this computer using iWeb and then I had to change to a different webhost on July 1st (Dreamhost) when Apple discontinued Mobile Me / Webhosting as of July 1st.  That is when I was no longer able to load the site on this one computer.
I get this message with Safari:
Safari can’t open the page “http://www.challengefitnesscrossfit.com/” because the server where this page is located isn’t responding.
    and this message from Firefox:
    The connection has timed out
The server at www.challengefitnesscrossfit.com is taking too long to respond.

Were you able to reset the account's password ? If not then how did you try to get it reset e.g. http://iforgot.apple.com (which would have sent it to the rescue email address if you have one on that account) ? You can also try contacting iTunes Support in your country to get it reset : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
And no, accounts can't be merged nor content transferred between accounts.

    Hello!
I am getting this error, but the above fix does not solve the issue, however I do know what has caused it.
I have an edmx file in a WCF webservice which feeds a silverlight app.  The edmx is quite complex and a bit fragile, but was working fine up until I introduced our Industry Codes view into the model.  The view is basically { ID, ParentID, Name, ... }.  In my model I have created an association to itself which describes Children(*)/Parent(0/1) so I have a nice and tidy hierarchical structure.  The edmx and the service build without any errors - hurrah!  However, when I update the service reference I then get the below error (and a whole load of others as none of the webservice objects exist anymore):
Error 21 Custom tool error: Failed to generate code for the service reference 'WCF_ContactAdmin'.  Please check other error and warning messages for details. X:\2008-054 ContactAdmin_Silverlight\Contact2_Admin_Silverlight\Service References\WCF_ContactAdmin\Reference.svcmap 1 1 Contact2_Admin_Silverlight
When I try the fix mentioned in the link above this error disappears, but then so do all the objects in the datamodel, so I cannot continue from there.
Having the hierarchical data objects defined in the EDM will make like so much easier in future, any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you!!

  • Updated to Lion and can't access my own website?

I recently update to Lion and now I can't access my own website, no matter what browser I use.

I can't access my cPanel or just the website itself.  I can't access the admin panel for the Wordpress workings either.
And it all worked fine until I updated to Lion.
Any help you can provider would be very helpful.  My host is claiming they can access it fine so they aren't able to help.  They verified my IP isn't blocked on their end.
And I can access it straight away in Safari.Do you have any anti-virus or third party programs, especially secrity related installed?
Can you access any other sites you regularly go to?
Is your Wordpress program up to date to be compatable with Lion (check developer's site)

  • Firefox can't access a specific web site. WHY?

"I have already posted that in 10.4 Forum but the problem is in Leopard"
At home and office I can't access a specific web site with Firefox.
I have tried everything I was able to: cleared cache, deleted cookies, deleted firefox prefs, flushed DNS, tried to log with IP instead of domain, created a new user account in Mac OS, repaired permissions, but nothing happens!
The strange thing is I can access the web site trough a proxy. And I don't have a firewall or similar, my Mac is conected directly to the web. And the problem is the same in any browser I use, like Safari or Firefox or Camino.
Anyone has any idea about what is causing my problem?
Just in case, the site is demonoid.com.
PS: Thanks BDAqua to all support on the other thread.

    demonoid.com
I feel like a dork. Maybe next time I'll read the post better.
Okay, I went to that site and it works fine for me.

No proxies, AV, firewalls or anything. The internet cable is pluged into this Mac.
The problem began 2 weeks ago. When I loaded the page the browser shows status done at the bottom of the window, and at the address bar I see the icon of the web site nd the address but nothing is shown. The source code for that page also is in blank.
I am now using firefox 3 and still have the problem. Safari is up to date with no enhancers. I uninstall all extensions from Firefox also.
    Hard to believe, hum?

  • Can't access one website

There is one website which I can't access.  Nothing odd about the site -- it's a client website that's full of photos I need to view & download.
I can access the website if I plug directly to my Comcast modem.  It appears the AirPort (Extreme 802.11n) is being blocked by this website.
I don't seem to have this problem with any other websites.
How/what do I change on the AirPort so that this website will no block me?
    I'm on 10.6.8
    Thanks.

    SOLVED!!
The website is Portuguese.  Here's what conspired:
    1) (from me) "Hello,  I need some very technical help (I apologize for the English).
I am a graphic designer working on creating marketing materials for ____.  I am using your site to collect marvelous photos.
Unfortunately, ________.com has blocked me.  I need someone to turn off this block.  I am not sure how this is done.
The address that is blocked, is my MAC (Media Access Control) address, also known as an ethernet ID.
    That number is
    00:00:00:00:00:00
Please let me know if you can help me, or if there is someone else I should contact."
    2) (from them) "Dear _____,
    Thank you for your e-mail.
We already talked with a technician. He needs to know your IP. You can check it on this website - http://www.whatismyip.com"
    3) (from me, who didn't think the IP address would help, since the block was only on my Airport) "Thank you.  My ip address is 00.00.000.000
The problem may be more specific to one device MAC address, which is 00:00:00:00:00:00"
    4) (from them) "Your ban has been lifted. You should be able to access now.
You were automatically blocked on Fri Jul 20 19:08:41 2012 (PT time) because of 15 failed FTP login attempts in a short period of 5 minutes. Please make sure to save your password somewhere safe and don't retry failed attempts. If you misplace your password and can't access, you should contact us instead.
May I also inform you that device MAC addresses can be blocked on local area networks (LAN). On the Internet (WAN, or Wide Area Network), we deal with gateways, which is your public IP."
This all happened so quickly, I was SO impressed!!  I don't know how there could have been 15 FTP attempts... unless my browser was stuttering or re-trying repeatedly or something.  I was blocked after the first attempt.
    But it's fixed.  Yay!

  • How can I allow ads to be displayed on one specific website?

In order the be able to use a specific website, admins will only allow continious use if I allow the page's ads to be displayed on my computer (has to do with funding the page). I do not block any on purpose, nor can I find how to unblock for this specific website. I did check 'Permissions'. For this site all cookies and pop-ups are allowed, but still no ads appear. I need to solve this issue soon, otherwise I'll get kicked off... :(
Where/which are the settings that need to be adjusted?
I really hope someone can help out soon. Thanks in advance!

  • Can You Manage Wireless Clients Access To Specific Websites?

    Hi Team,
I am looking to use management functions like the ones I have used in Linksys WiFi Routers, such as limiting or denying access to certain external websites. I have been unable to find this capability in the Time Capsule (1TB), I just bought.
Can anyone shed some light on this area of enhanced management? Is this even possible?

Hello gbelton10. Welcome to the Apple Discussion!
    Is this even possible?
Sorry, but no. Unlike some other manufacturer's routers, the AirPort & Time Capsule do not provide this type of feature. One workaround is to use OpenDNS to filter the types of websites that can be accessed.
