Can't access podcast directory

Hi There,
I installed the new itunes update (6.0.2) and now i can't get into the podcast directory! is anyone else having this problem??

Working Fine now, apple must have resolved whatever issues there were with the itunes upgrade!

I too am having problems accessing Directory server from Netscape Console installed on Winxp.
If I try to open Directory server it doesn't give any error. No windows nothing.
If I try th same from the machine on which it is installed everything is fine. What is strange is that it did open a couple of times. But at the same time I can open the admin server, Netscape Messaging server from the xp box. Searching all over for a solution. Any help/pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Config details:
iDS4.13, iMS 5.0, running on Sol 8 box
Netscape Console 4.2 on WinXP.

ITunes Crashes accessing Podcast directory

For the past 3-5 months in 10.4.x and 10.5.x accessing the podcast directory of my iTunes library results in an instant crash of iTunes. This really ***** as I was hoping the 10.5 upgrade would fix things. I was a podcast junkie and I've since gone cold turkey as a result of these technical problems.
Is there a fix to this? I'm currently using iTunes 7.6.2. I've even attempted to reinstall 7.6.2 with no luck.

Can't access podcasts using ios 7.0 on iPhone 4s.

Just upgraded to ios 7.0 on my 4S. Can no longer find "Podcasts" in my iTunes munu (in "Other") on my phone, so can't manage or listen to any podcasts on the device. How do I find them?

Possibly a 'duh' question but what is the exact app name for the podcast app? I have the same problem and when I search for free podcast app I get multiple options. Does it matter what app I choose?...

Can't Access User Directory

I got my new iMac the other day. I am trying to access my user directory but it has a red icon on the folder and when I try to open it, it says I don't have permission. This is my first time using Mountain Lion so I'm not sure if this is a new 'security feature' or what but I could use some help cracking this code. Thanks!

It sounds as if you're trying to access a user folder from Finder while not logged in as that user.
Your current user home directory appears whenever you open a Finder window. If you open a new Finder window, then go to the menubar at the top and hit 'View > Show Path bar' you should see your current location in the path bar at the bottom of the Finder window.
To access the home directory for other users, logout of your current user by hitting the
 at the top left corner of the screen and choosing 'Log Out (name)' at the bottom of the menu. Then log in as the user whose files you want to access.

Can't access movies and television section of podcast directory

Very simply, as of this afternoon, every time I click on the Movies and Television category of the podcast directory, I get a message telling me that this feature is not available in the UK. All other sections work as normal. Any ideas?

I get the something similar when I try to access Technology -> Computers or Technology -> Information Technology. Only difference is that I get "not currently available in the US store".
It's been like that for over a week now. ;-(

Podcasts no longer appear under ipod device in I tunes library. I can access podcasts on my ipod but I CANNOT access podcasts on I tunes library. I have disconnected and reconnected. I have restored my ipod. I have checked for updates. What else?

'Podcasts' under Ipod device disappeared in Itunes library. I can't manage my podcasts on ipod via I tunes library. I can access the podcasts on my ipod (5th generation), itself. I can access and manage music. I can add more podcasts to ipod. The podcast icon reappears with only the newly added podcasts. When I disconnect ipod and reconnect ipod, 'podcasts' no longer appears under the device. So I am unable to manage my podcasts on I tunes library which means I can't delete podcasts from I tunes library. I can only add podcasts. I have disconnected and reconnected ipod. I am trying to download the newest version of ITunes. When I try the download, it starts and after a bit the following message appears "The installer has insufficient priviledges to access this directory: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Start\Menu\Programs\ITunes The installation can not continue...."

I can't tell you how much I appreciate your taking the time to help me with this problem. I'm doing a healing technician training class at my church, and have most of my study material on my ipod. It cashed this weekend which hindered my preparation for my class tomorrow night. I went to the local "Apple Store" late last night and they could get me up and running. They suggested that I call the APL CARD line which I did today, but they gave me a nice run around seccession, and did nothing. Then I was lead to "Google" my question, which eventually lead me to the "Apple" site. Praise the LORD for your help and may you be richly blessed with multiplied blessings in all that you put your hands to do. May you receive a great harvest. As far as I'm concerned you were used by the LORD, and are the real genius!!!

How can we access the file/directory system in the server

I have made a text editor attached with an audio player for my project.
Both text editor and audio player are implemented in applet and put in to a
jsp page using jsp:plugin. Text editor and player are separate applets running
in the same page and from same server.A client who is using this editor may
want to save the edited text files to the server as well as hear audio files from
directories in the server.
My question is how can we access the file/directory system in the server
like we do in the local machine.When the user cliks save or openfromserver button
in the editor, folder/files in the server must be displayed as we do with FileChooser.
I am using Apache Tomcat 5,wiindows 2000 server, jdk1.5.

You can't access it directly. But your applet can make net connections to the server, and the server can provide that kind of functionality. Generally this is easiest by making HTTP connections and having the server provide the functionality via the web server. (So in your case, JSPs or servlets on the server would list/deliver/create/modify/delete files, and the applets would invoke those JSPs and servlets.

That is the highest you will be able to go with 3g. You need 3gs or 4 to go any higher (multi processors and more memory needed). Version 4.2.1 marks the end of your updates for that device.

It sounds like you need to log in as the administrator to update the iTunes application properly.

Can't install i-tunes....problem says...system not modified.....not privileges to access this directory

I had to uninstall my iTunes.....Can't install again...tried 3 times and each time messages read: 1. Systam has not been modified. 2. Installer has insufficient privilages to access this directory; C:\Program Files\iTunes 3. Log on as administrator or contact your administrator

It appears that your user account on your Windows machine is not the system administrator. You are using a limited account most likely.
iTunes will have some issues if used under a limited account.
Go into: Start > Control Panel > Users
See which account is listed as the system administrator. Login to that account and you can promote your main account to system admin from there. Restart your computer if this worked.
If there isn't a system admin listed, there may be parental control software installed preventing you from accessing these settings.
Try installing any other program. (web browsers are good to try cause they are free)
If you are denied access to installing other programs, your user account is not system admin.

How deep into a windows directory can Mac access?

Well, after moving, and attempting to move numerous files (from a networked XP laptop, with an externally USB mounted hdd), I've found that there are some files that it will not allow me to move.
I get the same error message-- not having sufficient privileges to move the files.
I'd set my access permissions to allow the users to change the files. Which I'm assuming means they can edit the files, and save an updated version at the source, as well as moving/copying the files.
So, I'm curious about two things.
1- is there a level of "depth into a directory" that Mac cannot access a networked drive through a PC?
2-Are there certain directory sizes that Mac just can't copy from?
well, ok... maybe some more too....
3- the file transfer starts off great, and then after a while it sends me the above referenced error msg stating that I don't have privileges to access the file.
At first I thought maybe the network connection failed, but I can still access the folders in question. Then, I remembered that even windows has a 255 character limit to pathway strings that it can read.
Hence my two initial questions.
any ideas?

While the issue was answered-- it just made my job more frustrating-- I was hoping for a bypass so I'd not have to take so long to deal with it.
The problem was that I'd set so many folder levels that it'd exceeded the 255 or 1024 character limit that XP has.
Thus, my attempts to move entire directories was met with rejection due to the exceeded limits..... argh..... so much for being "smart" on my realizing what a perfect filing cabinet I had at my finger tips-- I am a lousy filer, and can never think of how to file things. The directory structure helped me overcome that "weakness," or so I thought.......

Can I access to my podcast via Wifi ?

I'm thinking of buying in Ipod Touch, but I have 2 questions :
- Can we access to the music stored in my PC via the the Wifi connection of the Ipod touch ? This is particularly interessant for the poscasts
- Is it possible to change the informations of a file via the Ipod (delete podcast, give stars, unmark ...) ? Change would be effective on next sync. This is also particularly interessant to delete directly from the Ipod podcast after listening.

The itunes wifi store does not have podcasts or videos.
As for the second, any ratings you make to the song or podcasts syncs back to itunes.
