Can't access the filter gallery in CS3
I'm in the process of editing an image and I can't access the filter gallery...it's not active under the filter >filter gallery...I started out with a CR2 raw file...what am I doing wrong?
Is it 16 bit per channel? Change to 8.

UNABLE to access the Filter Gallery
Good morning,
Per this screen shot, I am unable to view or access the filter gallery and I would very much like to.
The history portion of the screen shot shows my workflow.
First I opened an image and then opened a Curves adjustment layer. Because I only wanted to change the luminosity values, I then changed the Blending Mode from Normal to "Luminosity". Then I made a minor Curves adjustment, followed by forming a new layer via copy of my original background layer.
At that time, I was unable to access the filter gallery.
I therefore converted that layer I had just created into a smart object but, as the screen shot demonstrates, am still unable to access the filter gallery.
Any thoughts? I am running CS6 on a Mac and I am working in Adobe RGB image mode, 16 bit.
Matt DubuqueAdditionally, your assertion that having this layer saved as a smart object as the cause of the problem seems incorrect.
For example, I can use artistic filters on this layer of an 8-bit image, which is a smart object.
Are there any ARTISTIC plug ins available that work in 16 bit? -
Is there a reason for this that I can put right?
It could be that you are in 16-bit mode, change it to 8-bit then it should be available for you.

Hi. I am not an experienced user of Photoshop however I have always been able to access the Filter Gallery to add filters to my images. Today I went in to PS CC to work on an image and found the Filter Gallery selection greyed out - so you can't click on it to load up the different types. Is this now an plug in - of which I do not understand these either. I am from Australia so any help locally appreciated. Adobe's chat line is closed at present to ask this question.

Why is the filter gallery not working?
In my CS6 Photoshop I can access the filter-gallery but as soon I click on a filter to choose it close the window and I get the error message: the process coulnd't finish. I tried it with several files and and it's always the same message.
I already reset the preferences but this didn't helped a lot. Does anybody know what I can do here?

Why is the filter gallery greyed out in Photoshop CC?
I just installed PS CC and want to try some artistic filters but the Filter Gallery option is greyed out. How do I access the filter gallery?
Is the image mode set to 8 bits/channel?

Why can't I open the filter gallery in Photoshop CC 2014? I've converted the photo layer into a smart object, but the filter gallery selection is still grayed out. How do I make it active?

I can't access my MobileMe gallery since the last update, and I don't have a computer to fix it or retrieve any of my pix or vids. What do I do?
What do your mean by "mygallery"? Is this some service independent of icloud?
The old gallery on MobileMe is no longer, and icloud does not have such a service. Did you save your old photos that were on MobileMe to a computer? Because that was the only way to save them. They are not on icloud. -
Loading Textures in the Filter Gallery Texturizer
I created a few seamless tiles in PSD format to be loaded into the Texturizer filter under the Filter Gallery in CS6 on a Windows 7 machine.
In the flyout menu, there is an option to LOAD a new texture. I loaded four or five new ones, but only the last one is visible in the list. From all I can tell, I will always have to load a new texture there to be able to use it. The default textures are always loaded : brick, burlap, canvas & sandstone.
In the plug-ins section of the Preferences, there is a check box for : Show all Filter Gallery Groups and Names. What does that do?
Is there something I am missing that would allow me to add a dozen new textures and make them always accessible in the Texturizer plug-in?

It enables/disables the showing of all filter gallery groups and names.
Look at the Filter menu with the preference unticked. Then tick it and look at the Filter menu again - there will be more submenus of filters which are accessed through the Filter Gallery plug-in.

Unfortunately, you're not missing anything that I know of. The majority of Photoshop's filters need an overhaul to bring them into the 21st century, but I guess that'll always be shoved to the bottom of the "to do" list until Adobe hires a significantly larger Photoshop software development team. -
Why has the filter gallery in PS CC quit working?
The filter gallery in my Photoshop CC has, out of the blue, quit working. The filters all appear and if I apply one the blue progress bar appears in a normal fashion, but nothing is applied in the preview or in the file if I hit OK. In looking through help files I found that Wacom tablets can cause issues and a special plug-in is the recommended fix. I use an Intous 3 tablet so I installed the plug-in but that didn't change anything. Now I'm stumped. Anyone know why this is occurring?

Should the "filter gallery" filters be displayed in CS5 64 bit filter menu?
I would swear I had the "filter gallery" filters available (artistic, brush strokes, sketch...) from CS5 64 bit. But tonight I realised I can only see them in CS5 32 bit, not in the 64 bit version. Is this normal?
Please note I'm *not* talking about them being grayed out due to the image being in 16 bit. It's just that they do not appear on the menu as they do in the 32 bit version. I've tried copying the filter gallery.8bf file from 32 version folder to 64 one, but it doesn't work.

I can't think of anything I did to remove the filter gallery - I'm really intrigued about how could it disappear (?). I supposed the 32 and 64 bit version of the 8bf file would be different, but wanted to give it a try just in case...
After wasting some time trying to find the 64 bit "filter gallery.8bf" online, I've decided to just reinstall CS5 and yes, just as you say, now the filters are there. It's a good thing that reinstalling CS5 somehow keeps intact your preferences, workspace and 3rd party plugins! I just had to run the Adobe updater and everything's back to normal.

After updating ps cs3 to ps cs6, I lost the "filter Gallery option in filters does anyone know why?
The option is removed to avoid the duplication however the filter are available, read the link for more info.

In iTunes prefs>Store - is the Store check box unchecked?

Can not access the Instance Data of a Singleton class from MBean
I am working against the deadline and i am sweating now. From past few days i have been working on a problem and now its the time to shout out.
I have an application (let's call it "APP") and i have a "PerformanceStatistics" MBean written for APP. I also have a Singleton Data class (let's call it "SDATA") which provides some data for the MBean to access and calculate some application runtime stuff. Thus during the application startup and then in the application lifecysle, i will be adding data to the SDATA instance.So, this SDATA instance always has the data.
Now, the problem is that i am not able to access any of the data or data structures from the PerformanceStatistics MBean. if i check the data structures when i am adding the data, all the structures contains data. But when i call this singleton instance from the MBean, am kind of having the empty data.
Can anyone explain or have hints on what's happening ? Any help will be appreciated.
I tried all sorts of DATA class being final and all methods being synchronized, static, ect.,, just to make sure. But no luck till now.
Another unfortunate thing is that, i some times get different "ServicePerformanceData " instances (i.e. when i print the ServicePerformanceData.getInstance() they are different at different times). Not sure whats happening. I am running this application in WebLogic server and using the JConsole.

Dear apple, I am really dissapointed with you. Around January 2013, my iPhone 4s 16GB White has hardware issues, which was the Wi-Fi grey out. The wifi grey out means that I can't access the wifi on/off button, and also it has no connection. I have put up with it for months, until june 7 when I decided it has been long enough, and I got a replacement. I told the genius bar what happened, and I already did the so called "steps" that apple reccommended on the site, which was reset network settings, restore iPhone. The genius bar gave me a replacement phone, so I was expecting that the problem would be over, but it isn't. It seems that it's iOS 6.1.3 which is the case of most public complaints on apple iPhone products. Not even 3 weeks after I got the phone replaced, it is doing it again, so I suspect I'm just going to get a replacement again? Unfortunately I only have until 5th of july 2013 until my 1 year warranty is up. After that, any issue I have, I have to purchase apple care. People are expecting this problem to be fixed but I don't see it being solved any time soon. This is horrible and really low, because I have been a good customer, when I talk to the people at the genius bar, I show the utmost respect I can to them for the work they put into their job, but somewhere there is a problem where something has gone wrong. Because of that, people that only have a one year warranty (which i received because I purchased my apple iPhone at an Optus outlet, once that one year warranty is up, I have to pay for a problem that isn't even my fault? That isn't how it should work, you should be fixing this problem so people can be happy customers and leave happy. Obviously you don't all know how to do your jobs, because if you did, we wouldn't have this problem. I would like a replacement phone, ONCE AGAIN. If this problem occurs again, I will simply stop buying your products, and lose faith in your company, your's sincerely, Jack Maher.
