Can't access tools

I am having a problem with photoshop CS3 f0r windows. I can't access the tools. All I get is the hand tool. Does anyone have a solution for this problems?

Can't access Tools/Options/Applications in FF 12.0

Every time I try to do the following in FF 12.0, the browser stops responding/hangs/freezes/basically says "sorry, dude:"
1. Download files either by right clicking and choosing "save" or clicking directly on it. This includes email attachments, videos, etc. I also cannot attach files to emails since the same thing happens the moment I hit "Browse."
2. Cannot access Tools/Options/Applications, usually getting the same results. In my various attempts to resolve this, I have been able to open that window, but the space where file associations are listed is empty.
If it's any help, when I've reverted back to FF 3.5.1.9, I can do all those things ... I just can't get "Words With Friends" to load in Facebook.
What I have done in an attempt to correct this issue:
1.) Everything, including deleting the various .rdf files, etc.
2.) Tried starting in safe mode, using every possible variation.
3.) Uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox around a hundred times, removing personal settings and cleaning the registry each time.
4.) Uninstalled and reinstalled Flash and Java three or four times each.
5.) Everything.
I am at my wit's end, thus the request for help. Unfortunately, if someone offers a solution, I've probably tried it.
Additional information: I did use firetune once, returned to the backup configuration I created, used it again and returned to the backup again. This seems to be right around the time the problems began, but I'm not positive.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Running WinXP Media, 512MB RAM, 32-bit, etc.

Actually, Matt, I have tried that, but I certainly am willing to try again. Do you suggest deleting the current profile and all its settings, deleting the profile and keeping the personal settings, or just adding another complete profile in addition to the one that currently exists?

Can't access "tools" menu!

After I logged on today (ATT is Internet provider), my web page wasn't activating all the way. Suddenly, there were two new items at the top right of my page: a rust-colored oblong box saying "Firefox" with a drop drown arrow, and beside it another oblong box that merely repeats whatever website address you're viewing. It completely covers up the File...and Tools boxes! No matter what, you can't get to them.
What can I do?

You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden (View > Toolbars > Customize or right-click a toolbar).
You can hide or make the Menu bar visible via View > Toolbars, also accessible via Firefox > Options.
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or tap the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily.

Is this safe, and how can I get to it if it is safe? I cannot find the tools at the top of the page, and when I do see it (when I go to Toolbar options) it is not opening to the Tools-Options area I need. Can't access tools in c4d lite

Hi there,
I am in c4d lite. After making an object and selecting polygon mode, I am tryingt o right click in the work area to access my tools (ie dissolve, brush, mirror, iron, knife etc.) The contextual menu that apprears is very bare. It has four items (undo, frame selected element, aling and reverse normal, and optimize.) In the tutorial I am watching, there are many items that should apprear in that menu. Could it be that some supporting files were not installed properly.

What a shame. But arn't these tools of key importance in modeling? Obviously this version is free and "lite" so I don't expect it to have all the bells, but this seems like a fundamental function to any workflow in c4d. Darn. Thanks for the help

Can not access sample & admin tools after configuring Oracle8.1.7

I changed the default database(i.e. Cloudscape) to Oracle by following the doc

Can't access mask in gradiant tool in lightroom 2

I have recently purchased Lightroom 2 and when using the gradiant tool I can't access the mask option?
Also with the brush tool the erasure option does not always work.
I'm working on a pc.

Hmmm, I was just trying to solve this exact problem - a cathedral bell tower against an overly bright, plain sky.
A partial workaround: in order to darken the sky, I applied a negative exposure gradient to the whole area, including the tower. Then use the Adjustment Brush to re-boost the exposure just in the tower area - using auto-mask. This works to counter-act the original exposure darkening, but of course this "antidote" gets applied uniformly across the masked area, rather than in a gradient. Better than nothing. To approximate a gradient, I guess you could move down the tower creating multiple Adjustment Brushes, each applying slightly less "counter-action".
But I can't figure out a similar workaround if the original gradient had a color tint. How do you "counter-act" a color tint? Setting it to White seems to do nothing.

Afte install Crystal Report Server 2011, can not access control tools from web or from application.
My server OS is Windows 2008 R2 SP1. I follow the default setting. How to fix it?

Is Tomcat started? On your Start menu you should have an option to get to "Tomcat Configuration" or, under the CRS menu you can run the "Central Configuration Manager" to start Tomcat.
What URL are you using to connect to the web app? By default Tomcat runs on port 8080 so your URL should look something like this: "http://<servername>:8080/BOE/CMC" or "http://<servername>:8080/BOE/BI".
If Tomcat is running and you're trying to access it from another computer, check to see if the Windows Firewall is turned on for the server - if it is, turn it off for "Domain" access.
If Tomcat won't start, go to the folder where Tomcat is installed and then look in the "logs" folder. There should be a file called "stderr.log" which you can open in Notepad to see what types of errors might be occurring (you can ignore any errors having to do with "persisted sessions".) If there are other errors, post in the BI Platform space to get assistance.

The headings under Tools are: "Pages", "Content", "Forms", "Recognize Text", "Protection", and "Sign & Certify". There's also a little icon in the upper right that lets me access some other headings under the Tools menu; those are: "Document Processing", "JavaScript", "Accessibility", and "Analyze".
I did think about the idea that maybe the Content Editing was a new feature of Acrobat XI, but I found some resources online (http://www.wikihow.com/Edit-Text-in-Adobe-Acrobat) that seem to indicate this was a feature on much earlier version (the link references Acrobat 8 at the bottom).

Good point BDAqua, the Escape key helps get me back to reality in Lion.
While I've only dabbled around a little in Lion since it's release (I upgraded a 10.6 Clone to Lion on one of my FireWire Drives) now I'm currently downloading Mountain Lion (to upgrade a Clone of that Lion Clone) so that now I can continue to move forward in madness.

When I click the bookmark icon on the Google tool bar I am asked to login which I do but still can't access my bookmarks.

My OS is Vista Business and I'm using Firefox version 8. I'm using the Google Tool Bar and have an icon for Bookmarks but when I click it a message pops up "Sign in to access your Google bookmarks. I sign in but still can't access my bookmarks.

The Google Toolbar isn't compatible with versions of Firefox beyond Firefox 4. If you are overriding extension compatibility to get to be enabled in Firefox 8, that isn't going to work since Google changed the logon URLs a couple of months ago; that broke the Google Toolbar even further.

I use gmail , it says i can't access it because browsers cookies are disabled , THEY ARE NOT. I go into tools and options and cookies are enabled. I do not have this problem when i switch to internet explorer.
