Can't access User Interface on WRT54G.

I can't access the user interface any more on my WRT54G.   Used to be I could access it with IP 192.168.1.1 over my network, (or using the internet www.mydomain.com:8080) and it would come up but very, very slow.  Now I can't access it at all.  When I go to the address, the login box comes up, and once I enter the login, it just goes to a blank screen.  I've tried multiple PCs, Firefox, IE.  Nothing works.  How can I fix this?
The router continues to work fine, and the LinkSys Advisor functions (slowly) I just can't access the admin user interface to make changes.

Might be possible that the usernmae & password you are using is not working on the route ... make sure that you are using correct username & password .... if not then reset the router so that the password also gets resetted & you can use Admin password without any username ...
Once resetted you need to reconfigure the router ... .& open the port 8080 for remote access ....

    I can't access Users & Groups in System Preferences please help thanks

    Check the following:
    First, do you see the "User and Group" icon?
    If not, open the "presentation" menu and look under the "personalize" option to see if the icon is uncheck.
    Second, try to set a new account and see if you can access it from that account.

  • As Admin I can't access users home folder - (usershare)

    How can I access user's home folders
    Setting up a new server and copied users home from SBS 2003 but having setup all the users I cannot access the users home folders as Admin at the Server console.
    Obviously I can login to a users PC and upload the files from the but...
    This is something I need to do frequently for users.
    *** Edit ***
    If I enable the disabled "Administrator" account - I am then able to access the folders!
    (I would like to keep Administrator account disabled)
    I added Admin to the Administrators group but that didn't work either!
    I suppose I I work around by enabling administrator account but would much rather allow Admin to have same rights.

    Hi
    There is a GPO that controls the Redirected Folders.... the default in SBS is to restrict users redirected folders exclusively. That means 'Administrators' can not access the files, only the specified users who own it.
    Ironically i also find this restricts viewing the files on these folders in the proper backup
    To fix this you need to do a number of steps.
    1. First of all remove the tick from the GPO for Exclusive access to redirected folders. When this is done any new users you add, the administrators (security group) will be able to access the folders and files.
    However this will not fix the ones made when the PO exclusivity was enabled. To fix this there are methods on this forum about PowerShell access, and guides, all very complicated... but neded if you can;t access your users accounts. Like you I created 3
    users before noticing this GPO issue.
    I found a way around it.
    User 1 is restricted.
    1. So go to a client computer and log on as User 1
    2. navigate to \\server\redirected folders\User 1
    3. Select the Documents folder and right click, properties, security
    4. Add the Administrators (note the s, administrators, not administrator) and give Full Control
    5. Do the same to the Desktop Folder
    You need to do this for each User that is restricted, as each User that is restricted. Each User owns their Desktop and Documents folder and can therefore apply whatever security they like to it.
    The difference the GPO exclusive makes is whether or not Adminsitrators are added to the security for those folders, you are just manully setting this up
    You do not need to take ownership, do not need to run powershell. Admitedly if your users are remote users, and you are never at the clients with the server, then I agree maybe the Ownership and Powershell route is the way to go, but odds are you will visit
    the client and be able to do this on site s the user is logged in. This is the quickest and Easiest way

  • Can't access User Guide after Windows 7

    I did a clean install of Win 7 on my HDX 18 and it went very smoothly.  Even all my MediaSmart apps and buttons work (except eject which I see doesn't work for many).
    One minor detail is that the User Guide won't open.  I have HP Support Assistant and on the "Learn" tab there are various items to click to learn more about your computer.  All work except the User Guides.  I get the following error message...."This program is not installed."
    However, I did install the User Guides.  It is even listed in Control Panel, Uninstall Program as "HP User Guides 0116."  Anyone know why the HP Support Assistant can't find them?  I also don't see them installed anywhere as there is no start menu item to click to see them.
    Thanks.

    My computer came with win 7 home premium x-64 installed.
    I installed a 2nd hard drive and installed windows 7 ultimate x-64 on it - now I can boot either one.
    I downloaded and installed the latest HP Support Assistant under win7 ultimate, but got the "this is not installed' message when trying to access user's guides from support assistant, and indeed, the user's guide are not in C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\Documentation, so I copied x:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\Documentation (where x: is my original hard drive) to C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\Documentation, and now it works fine from support assistant.
    Also I can double-click on C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\Documentation\HpDocViewer.exe in explorer, and the user's guide comes up.
    Sorry, I don't know why it doesn't work for both of you, but try just running HpDocViewer.exe in the Documentation folder.

  • How can I access user defined column(in query) inside the trigger?

    Hi
    I have 3 unions and each query displays different records on some criteria. I also have a column hard-coded
    Ex:
    select a.col1, a.col2,
    add as update
    from table1 a
    where ...
    union
    select a.col1, a.col2,
    change as update
    from table1 a
    where ...
    union
    select a.col1, a.col2,
    del as update
    from table1 a
    where ...
    And I need to display a column in the report only if update is Add. I was thinking of writing a format trigger for that field. But I do not know how can I access this user defined column named update in the trigger?
    Any help?

    Try ":update" minus the double-quotes. Ex:
        IF :update = 'add' THEN
          RETURN(TRUE);
        ELSE
          RETURN FALSE;
        END IF;
    You'll want to place your hard-coded values in single-quotes. Ex:
        select a.col1, a.col2,
        'add' as update

  • How can I access user permission for specific items in Sharepoint 2013 via REST API?

    I want to access user permissions for specific items like lists, documents, folders etc. via the REST API.
    Currently I am hitting the following endpoint:
    http://win-5a8pp4v402g/sharepoint_test/site_1/_api/web/getUserEffectivePermissions('win-5a8pp4v402g\\Sharepoint User 2')
    However the response looks like this:
       "d":
           "GetUserEffectivePermissions":
               "__metadata":
                   "type": "SP.BasePermissions"
               "High": "0",
               "Low": "0"
    I cant understand why high and low are both 0? I have added the user to a specific group. Also this is the same result for each of the users. Another thing to note is that I havent added the "Guest" user in the sharepoint server. So when I hit the endpoint for the Guest user, it still shows the same response. So I know there is something I am doing wrong.I want to access permission of a user for a specific item, say a document using the REST API. Can someone tell me how? What would be the endpoint?

    Thanks for the reply. Although this works for Lists, I need to get permissions of documents too. Here is what I have tried:
    http://win-5a8pp4v402g/sharepoint_test/site_1/_api/web/GetFileByServerRelativeUrl('/sharepoint_test/site_1/Documents/file1.txt')/GetUserEffectivePermissions(@user)?@user='i%3A0%23%2Ew%7Cwin-5a8pp4v402g%5Csharepoint%20user%201'
    And the response is:
       "error":
           "code": "-1, Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.ResourceNotFoundException",
           "message":
               "lang": "en-US",
               "value": "Cannot find resource for the request GetUserEffectivePermissions."
    Clearly this doesnt work for a file. Whats wrong?

  • Can't access users after Mountain Lion upgrade

    After upgrading my mini to Mountain lion, there were no options to sign in as my old user.  instead, I had to make a new user and the old ones are not accessable.  I can see the users but they don't come up in system prefs.  How can I get my old user back?

    1. You will need to boot to recovery holding cmd + R pressed in .
    2. You will come in Mac os X utilities , will have 4 options in your screen , ( put back from timemachine, reinstall et..)
    3. you go to ulitities on the top bar of your screen select terminal .
    4. Type in Terminal : resetpassword   ( this needs to be without any space between it) then press enter
    5. new screen opens on the back --> selec macintosh hd and then the user and now you can enter new password

  • Computer can't access user account at this time

    Hello, my situation is this.I tried entering the wrong password to the point where the computer could nolonger access the account.So this is where I sit... everytime I try to access my account the computer tells me "can't access account 'BLAMEUS' at this time".....a little help....!

    Hi Blameus,
    I assume you're referring to some kind of online account? You can try clearing the 'cache' of your browser. If this doesn't help, you can try clearing the 'stored cookies' in your browser... clearing the cookies will usually result in having to input username and password in all sites you visit that require one. Your username and password is also stored in the browser, so if push came to shove you may have to also clear or edit this or just the wrong password, especially if the URL of the site you are trying to access has the right username but wrong password stored, it will always input the wrong password. I hope you know what I mean...
    Good luck, Rick

  • Can't access User type using Synonyms/Grant

    Hi,
    We have a Stored Proc and it accepts a usertype. We are sending info from Java using JDBC and trying to get the results back. If I use the owner of the schema for connection it works fine. If I use a different schema user which has synonyms and grant access to the storeproc and userobject program does not work. Here is the stripped down code. If any one faced this problem please respond to [email protected].
    In the program I used QStore_user as user. QStore_user has Synonyms for USERTABLE, GET_NEXT_ID. Owner of these objects is QSTORE_OWNER. QSTORE_OWNER provided Grant 'Execute' to both of these for QSTORE_USER. If I change the java code to use QSTORE_OWNER it works fine.

  • Can't access management interface via vpn connection

    Hi all,
    I can't seem to be able to manage my ASA 5510 when I connect via vpn. My asa sits at a remote colo, and from my office i can connect fine. I have it configured as management-access (dmz), bc as of now we are just doing some staging and all the servers are in the dmz interface.
    When i connect with the vpn client, in the routes it sees 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 which is the management network/interface.

    For some reason I cannot access the web interface in order to configure this device. I have it connected to a router (DHCP). The router assigns an IP Address and I can ping it. If I attempt to go to that IP Address in any web browser. the page cannot be displayed. I've reset it several times. I have 2 of these and same problem. Am I missing something obvious? I sure hope so...

    Connecting to the Access Point Locally
    If you need to configure the access point locally (without connecting it to a wired LAN), you can connect a PC to its console port by using a DB-9 to RJ-45 serial cable.
    Follow these steps to open the CLI by connecting to the access point console port.
    Step 1 Connect a nine-pin, female DB-9 to RJ-45 serial cable to the RJ-45 console port on the access point and to the COM port on the PC.
    Step 2 Set up a terminal emulator on your PC to communicate with the access point. Use the following settings for the terminal emulator connection: 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, and no flow control.
    Assigning an IP Address Using the CLI
    When you assign an IP address to the access point using the CLI, you must assign the address to the BVI. Beginning in a privileged EXEC mode, follow these steps to assign an IP address to the access point BVI using the console port:
    Command
    Purpose
    Step 1
    enable
    Enter privileged EXEC mode.
    Step 2
    configure terminal
    Enter global configuration mode.
    Step 3
    Interface bvi1
    Enters interface configuration mode for the BVI.
    Step 4
    ip address address mask
    Assigns an IP address and subnet mask address to the BVI.
    Step 5
    end
    Return to privileged EXEC mode.

  • Can't access user/library/Mail backup on Time Machine

    I just reformatted my HD in the Mavericks fashion. When asked, I did NOT opt to start a new Time Machine backup series for fear of overwriting my mailboxes and contents from yesterday. So now my Time Machine menu item is greyed out and, since "Library" is an invisible file on the Time Machine disc, I can't get at my mailboxes to drag them over manually. The Library folder simply isn't available. So how do I restore my mailboxes to the new OS? I can access the User/Library/Mail folder by using keystrokes (Go to ~/CH/Library), but it does no good because it's *Today's* folder and there's nothing in it. How do I get at the actual backups from YESTERDAY'S User/Library/Mail folder?

    Old Toad: You're on the right track, but it looks to be more complicated than even I thought. But thanks for referring me to that set of solutions. I think it worked, in that my latest good backup is now associated with my current OS. The brick wall I'm hitting again is that all I want to back up from the TM drive is my user/library folder, containing  mailboxes. I can't even see it normally without holding down Option while hitting the Go menu item, so locating it for the purposes of Time Machine is tricky, if it's possible at all. One problem queering the do is that there are traces of malware on the backups, and I want to avoid re-installing them with my data. They were the reason I reformatted in the first place. Thanks for sending me to a promising source of info; I've still got Applecare, so I'll call them tomorrow AM.

    You have to use some port higher then 1024. Ports below 1024 are reserved for root user only.

  • Can not access router page for WRT54GS

    I can not tell what version my router is because it does not say on the bottom. everything is connected properly. coaxial is inserted into the modem, and when i connected the ethernet cable from the modem to my computer i get internet. Fine..dandy. now when i install that same wire to the INTERNET port on the router, and HARDWIRE to ANY of the ports to the router it works...cool! NOW when i try to access 192.168.1.1 NOTHING. it times out. so my ipaddress before and after holding the reset power for 30 seconds, and after power cycling (power down computer, than power down router, than power modem....than power up modem, wait till all lights come on...turn on router..all lights are on, and flashing(Internet, 1, and Power) EXCEPT the DMZ and WLAN lights on the router are off my ipaddress is 68.196.15.56, and my default gateway is 68.196.0.1. When i try to connect to 68.196.0.1 which is the default gateway i still get nothing. my cable modem is a scientific atlanta POS cisco product. I even double, and triple checked my tcp/ip connection under the general tab, and set them both to "obtain an ip address automatically", and the "obtain DNS server address automatically". Was so even crazy to empty internet cache, cookies, and temp files. I use both IE and Mozilla with ALL firewall (McAfee HIPS, and the antivirus turned off). I'm at a lost...if anyone has anything or any ideas, i downloaded the software for the router, and when i go to install it i get this error "Please check the tutorial to set your computer to DHCP". no clue guys i'm a pretty pathetic tech guy if you ask me. so i leave it to ya'll

    ensure that you have the following connections done
    1)connect the modem to the router's internet port
    2)connect the computer to the router's port#1
    3)there should not be any usb cable connected between the modem and the computer
    if all of the above is fine
    1)make sure that the computer gets an ip add of 192.168.1.x and the default gateway is 192.168.1.1
    2)if yes , access the router using http://192.168.1.1 . the default password is admin
