I can't access a website on my computer, neither can my friends (none of whom had tried before I asked them to). However, people elsewhere in the world (and presumably elsewhere in the US) can. The address is http://agro.biodiver.se . Thoughts?

Yes... quite often DNS caches in the internet are not fully consistent, you could end up using 4 or 5 servers before reaching the originating server. By that, I mean the caches being updated as a flow-out from the originating DNS, all the way to the DNS you are using.

Access website with same name as internal dns...

I've set up a server with internal dns zone as 'example.com' with the machine name being 'server.example.com'
Everything has been going well, but we cannot now access our externally hosted website at 'www.example.com' I now realise from looking at other posts on the web that perhaps I should have not used the same dns address internally as is used externally, but we have plans to bring mail servers in-house and so thought that this would be the correct way to go.
Can anyone offer advice on the correct way to resolve this?

From what you're saying then, I need to change the DNS host name of the internal network to example.net or similar.
You can use a level within your own domain, such as server.internal.example.com, where server is the host name and internal identifies a host within your network, and example.com is a domain you own. Larger networks use this construct to identify hosts within a corporate site or a particular building, such as www.corp.example.com, www.frobnitz.example.com and www.boston.example.com.
I assume it doesn't matter if I don't own the domain example.net?
Do not use a domain that you do not have permission to use.
Only use domains you own (best), or domains that will never be activate.
It's best if you use a domain you own or a subdomain of a domain you own, or (less desirably, but functional) use a Top Level Domain (TLD) string that will never be a domain (a completely made-up domain such as server.tvkiddomain where tvkitdomain is a text string that will never match a real domain such as .COM or .NET or .BIZ or .TRAVEL or the country codes or the gazillions of these TLD strings that are coming on-line. (That there are TLDs coming on-line makes this somewhat more risky; you can end up using a domain you don't own of somebody lights up a matching TLD.)
The second parallel domain is small cost and simple, particularly as you need few or no services for it from your registrar. (When I buy domains for a site, I usually purchase several TLDs around the domain -- such as the classic big three .COM, .NET and .ORG -- and then have these available for just this sort of purpose. It's easier to buy these up front than to add them later, given the usual domain squatting that can happen. And it's not much money. And it's flexibility for later network activities, and far easier to describe and to support.)
Will the changeip command change the DNS name of machines that I've set up, so that server.example.com will be renamed server.example.net? I assume I'll need to unbind and rebind any client machines that I've bound to the server?
changeip would be the tool I'd use, yes. And I'd reconnect, yes. There's a DNS command around that flushes the DNS caches on the clients; you'll also need to clear that.
Prior to Leopard, on each DNS client:
sudo lookupd -flushcache
Leopard DNS cache flush, on each DNS client:
sudo dscacheutil -flushcache

IMO, the simplest option is to avoid domain name collisions and to avoid domains you don't own; to maintain the basic operations and assumptions of DNS.
Bad DNS is one of the few things you can do that can screw up other hosts and other sites on the Internet.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you did a good job editing your Apple ID and primary email address, but you didn’t sign out of iCloud on your iOS device before hand. What you may need to do in this situation is go back to the Apple ID website and edit your Apple ID and primary email address back to the email address that is signed in with iCloud (there is no need to verify the account after editing it back to the old account, just changing it back is enough). Once your Apple ID is back to the original account, delete the iCloud account from the iOS device and be sure to keep all info on the device when prompted. After you delete the iCloud account, go back to the website and edit your Apple ID and primary email address back to the new address. Once it is back to the account you would like, you can sign into the iCloud on the iOS device with that new account and merge all of the data when prompted. Please use the following article as a reference.

You might want to make sure your credit card is listed in the billing information associated with your Apple ID (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1918).
Also, to change the From name that appears when you address emails on and iOS device, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap your iCloud email account, tap you iCloud account at the top, tap Mail at the bottom, then enter the name you want to use in the Name field at the top.
To change the From name on your Mac Mail, go to icloud.com, sign into your account, open Mail, click the gear shaped icon on the bottom left and choose Preferences, go to the Accounts tab and enter the name you want to use in the Full Name field and click Done. Then quit Mail on your Mac and re-open it. Your new From name should now appear in the drop-down list when you compose a new email.

How come I can't access Facebook with my gmail account?

Along with a couple other sites, I can't access Facebook with my gmail account. I'm on a mac, and even if I use different browsers (safari and google chrome), the page never opens. It consistently says "the connection was interrupted." I've tried everything, including allowing all cookies, deleting cookies, changing firewall settings, etc. However, it's not a problem on my Parallels (on the same computer). The weird thing is my friends with hotmail or yahoo facebook accounts can access the site. Help!

You're going to have to give a bit more information.
What do you mean by "opening a file in library?" There is no function of Aperture to open files -- you can open (switch) libraries.
You'll have to be more specific about error messages, too. Perhaps some screenshots would be useful to diagnose your problem. "Can't open database with library name" is not enough detail about what Aperture is really telling you.

So you try to login with your preferred Apple ID (the one you are supposed to use) and it asks you for a username? This sounds like there is no Apple Support Communities user linked to that Apple ID, so it asks you for a username to create one, but there is an existing user linked to that email.
Do you have any other Apple IDs that may have been used to create an Apple Support Communities user?

I can not access any website that was not part of my favorites through firefox. When i type in the url nothing happens it just sits there. I have tried starting firefox in safemode and still same results. I can not add any type of search engine either. i dont know when all of this happened but firefox changed over maybe a week ago and hasnt been working right since.

To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.

#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

I can´t access EAC by CAS name server

Hi people,
I´ve just installed my new Exchange 2013 SP1 environment in a new domain.
I´ve installed two Mailbox server and two Client Access servers, I´ve started the installation with two mailbox serves and to continue I´ve installed the Client Access servers. When I finished the installation in each server I restarted it.
Now, my problema is the Access to Exchange Administration Center.
I´m trying with https://servercas1.domain.local/ecp or
https://servercas2.domain.local/ecp
In both cases, Internet explorer sais "this page can´t be displayed"
I´ve checked the Ecpvirtualdirectory in PowerShell, and internal url is correct:
https://servercas1.domain.local/ecp in the first CAS and
https://servercas2.domain.local/ecp in the second CAS.
I´ve tried Access by IP, but with the same result...
Finally, I´ve tried the Access with https://localhost/ecp and it Works!
But... I want to Access by name, no by localhost....
Someone knows why I can´t Access by name??
I understand the Access to EAC is only possible through the CAS, because in the Mailbox doesnt work it, right?

I want to take old emails from one user account to another. Can't access 'net with old user account.

My computer was infected some time back, and the only way I could use most programs was to set up a new user account. Now I want to retrieve some old emails and move them to my new account, but can't seem to make it happen. F/fox opens under old a/c, but can't access 'net so I can't forward them. I tried putting them into a folder, putting it on a USB drive and dragging that into 'fox in my new a/c, but it won't open. I am using Win XP.

He will run into a problem when he wants to use his own account. Some apps will have been purchased on one Apple ID and other apps will have been purchased on a different Apple ID. That's a nuisance situation when the apps need updating and, unfortunately, there is no resolution at the present time (IDs can not be combined).
