Can't Access Windows 7 Partition after updating OSX to 10.8.2 - Will I be able to get my data back?

Itys does not appear in the boot list after holding down alt. I can still see it in disk utilities as a 66GB partition but it can't be veriefied or repaired from there. Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I can not access my webmail now after updating to 2.0

I used to be able to access webmail from "eastlink.ca" , but after updating to 2.0 everytime I try either via the bookmark or by direct Entry the PB brower closes and returns me to the home screen? Why?

Interesting... I just tried going to webmail.eastlink.ca and my PlayBook browser shut down altogether...
But have you tried simply adding the Eastlink email account to your PlayBook? This doesn't address the issue, but is a way to access your email on your PlayBook.
I'm not sure what the specific issue may be... But it's likely that the browser has not been optimized for the PlayBook which is causing it to shut down the browser.

Title says all. I can't remember my security question because it was 5 or 6 years ago and the answer to that has long changed. I have about $200 worth or more purchases on there and when you're 15 that's a lot :/
My Yahoo! email address got permanently banned from Yahoo so I cannot get an email verification.

I can't access my Aperture Library after updating to 10.6.8

After OSX 10.6.8 update Aperture is unable to open one of my current libraries because of 'incorrect permissions'.
I can't change the permissions as they're greyed out.

Are you logged in using an Administrators account?
When you write that the permissions are grayed out what are you referring to? If you could attach a screenshot of what you are seeing it might help.

You may have heard about this bootcamp issue, where suddenly the windows partition is not shown in the startup-boot-menu.. I've tried several things without success.
The partition is still browsable in the finder of OSX

I can't access my iPhoto library after downloading osx maverick

I recently installed OSX maverick, and now I can't get into iPhoto library. The message I get is this, "You can’t use this version of the application “iPhoto” with this version of OS X. You have “iPhoto” 9.2.1" . I'm not very technical so apologies if there is an obvious answer to this. Thanks.

Note 1: every day more users are reporting problems with iPhoto 8.1.2 so I've included it in the non compatible category.
Note 2: If your previous version of iPhoto was iPhoto 7 (08) or earlier you'll need to download and run the iPhoto Library Upgrader 1.1 application on the library before opening it with iPhoto 9.5.1

I have a Macbook Pro running 10.8.5. I went to startup my computer tonight and got an osx utilities window. No desktop. I don't know how to restore my desktop or get my data back. I don't have a backup. Please help!

Since you've a Retina machine, you have flash storage. If you can get to the Recovery partition (it sounds as if that's where you are? Nonetheless, you can boot into your Recovery partition by holding down the command and R keys whilst booting).
Use Disk Utility to verify and, if needed, repair your flash storage. If it can't be repaired, call back.

If you experience the issue in one particular user account, the suggestions below may resolve the issue. Before proceeding, you'll need to make hidden files and folder visible in Windows using steps 1-5.
Remove iTunes Preference files. Some of the files that iTunes stores settings and preferences in may be unusable. iTunes saves its preferences in two folders. Move one of them to the desktop and test to see if the issue persists. If it does, move it back and remove the second folder. The locations for the preference folders are:
c:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Apple Computer\iTunes
c:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes
Create a new iTunes Library.
Hold the Shift key while opening iTunes. You'll be asked to choose an iTunes library.
Choose Create Library.
In the following window, select a location to save the new iTunes Library.
Click Save. iTunes will open the new library. After you close iTunes, you can always select the original library by holding the Shift key while opening iTunes.
Recreate your iTunes Library. If your iTunes library has become unusable, rebuilding it may resolve the issue.
Check for issues with content files. Sometimes an audio file can cause iTunes to quit unexpectedly or stop responding when it's analyzing gapless playback information. To determine which file may be causing the issue, follow the steps below:
Quit iTunes.
Navigate to the iTunes folder:

Windows 7 and Windows 8: c:\users\username\My Music\iTunes
Move the iTunes Library.itl file to your desktop.
Open iTunes. You shouldn't see any content in iTunes.
Choose File > Add Folder to Library.

Windows 7 and Windows 8: c:\users\username\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Media
Choose an artist, album, or song to add to the library.
Wait for iTunes to successfully add the item to your library and perform the gapless playback scan.
If successful, continue adding songs to your library.
If there is an issue with one of your files, you'll notice your issue reappear after you add it to the library. You should repeat these steps, being careful not to add the files that caused the issue.

Why can't I delete my Windows XP partition after upgrading to Lion?

I have a 2006 Mac Pro with a Windows XP partition installed via Bootcamp. I recently upgraded to Lion, and then found out that Windows XP partitions are not supported in Lion. So, now I just want to get rid of it. However, the new version of Bootcamp in Lion is not allowing me to remove this XP partition.
I tried deleting it from Disk Utility, but that just deleted all the files in Windows. I want that partition gone!

You said you have a workstation with 4 drives, not a notebook.
And you have not reformatted in years.
Just clone Mac OS X Lion (and Lion Recovery) to anotehr hard drive with Carbon Copy Cloner.
Cloning as a Backup Strategy
Or backup and erase the DRIVE, like WDxxxxx and not your "Macintosh HD" volume and restore.
Reformatting is a good idea when moving to a new OS and lot of changes to partition structure go on each time, sometimes even mid-stream of a version.

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Then reset: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

I think that you will find your answer amongst the other "problem reports" for Safari 5.1 and iTunes 10.4. If you can use your Time Machine to revert to the day before you installed iTunes 10.4 (and Safari 5.1 - if you updated Safari too) you should wait for answers to other's complaints. There is a little known maxim at Mac; don't update an app or the operating system until you find no further problems reported at MacFixit, finetunedmac and Apple's own Support forums.
