Can't activate 1 Password in Lion
Since upgrading to Lion i can't activate Password 1.

What have you tried, and what is the specific problem you are having? Safari 5.1 in Lion requires a new 1Password extension, which for some reason lacks some basic features of the previous extension. I have had a problem logging into a few sites already.

How can I reset my password via Lion Server web front-end?
I'm trying to enable my users to be able to change their passwords from the default value I've given them. This can be done from the user's profile page but when with the new Lion Server web interface, I select the "Change Password" at the bottom of the page and I get the following result:
Changing passwords is turned off.
You can turn it on by using the Server app on the server.
I'm assuming I cannot use the Server app on my client computer (a MacBook Pro) so I use the Server app on the server. I cannot find out how to enable this feature. I've been all over the Lion Server help documentation but can't find out how.
I've selected my server in the Hardware section on the left-hand side of the Server app and gone to the Settings tab and checked the "Enable screen sharing and remote management" box but I still get the message above.
Thanks in advance...You will have to enabled "Profile Manager" tab.
Inside this tab, enable also the "Device Management", which will start a network directory.
This make sense for a centralized user mgmt.
But a bit not user-friendly enough.
After setting above two,
go back to the "Web" tab, and click the pencil to see the grayed-out activated. -
Can't activate iMessages on Mountain Lion in VMWare
I'm previewing Mountain Lion inVMWare Fusion.
I've never had an iPhone, so never used or tried to activate iMessages.
Now, when I try to use the Messages application, I can't sign in with my Apple ID. I get a message telling me to check my network connections and try again.
This is odd because I'm connected to the internet through my virtual machine, and can browse and even sign in to my Apple ID through iCloud and iTunes.
Why can't I sign in to Messages? I was made to understand anybody with an Apple ID and internet connection could use the application and communicate with iPhones, even if there is no iPhone tied to the Apple account.
Note: The OS for the Mac is 10.6.8, but on the virtual machine is 10.8.2.Connect your system to your router with an Ethernet cable. Stop using WiFi for downloading a 4+GB file.
More then likely your WiFi is goinig down in the middle of the download or your ISP connection is being reset. If it is your ISP internet connection then you will need to go someplace with a better, More stable, connection to download MT Lion. If it is your WiFi that is dropping out then connecting the system to the router with an Ethernet cable will fix that. -

The Apple ID and Password that was Originally used to Activate the iDevice is required.

You need to return the Device for a refund, as you will not be able to re-activate it. -

You can try to figure out which Apple ID/email address and/or password you used to activate it by going to http://iforgot.apple.com
If you can't, you'll need to contact Apple Account Security with your proof of purchase. -
My cousin's iphone gave it to me but the bad thing is, it has a icloud and i can't access the phone. my cousin is involved to a motorcycle accident and he got a amnesia so he didn't remember anything to this phone. I entered the password so many times so that i can't activate the icloud account. Please, I need to access this phone immediately for emergency purposes. You are my only hope. There is no chance at all that you can activate the iPad without the previous user's Apple ID and password. That is the feature of iOS 7 Activation Lock.
Every time I read one of these post, I can't help but think that the user asking about this (in this case - you) was duped into purchasing a stolen device. If the seller was legit, they would have erased the device completely before they sold it. -

please help!!!!!!!!!Unfortunately, you cannot do very much with your phone unless you get assistance from the previous owner, they should either provide you with the password to unlock it or remove their account from the phone entirely remotely through iCloud.com > Find My Phone.

Can't activate password-protected screen saver
I use my MacBook for sensitive data, so I always make sure to "lock" my screen with a password-protected screen saver when I walk away from my desk. Normally, there are several ways to do this:
1. Wait for the screen saver to come on due to inactivity.
2. Set a "hot corner" for the screen saver and move the mouse to that corner.
3. Enable the keychain menu bar icon and choose "Lock Screen" from the menu bar. (This is my preferred method.)
Under normal conditions, any of these three methods will activate the screen saver.
However, sometimes when I've been running my computer for a while (several days) without rebooting, all three of these methods simultaneously *stop working*. The "lock screen" menu option does nothing, the screen saver hot corner does nothing, and the computer fails to activate the screen saver on its own after the predefined period of inactivity.
Oddly, I can still activate the screen saver by using the "Test" button in the screen saver preferences pane, but in that case it's not password protected, so that doesn't help.
A reboot solves the problem, but this usually happens when I have a bunch of stuff open and it's not a convenient time to reboot. Plus, after a reboot, the problem still recurs a few days later.

A few of those users found workarounds, but they seemed to be experiencing something different from what I'm describing here. Those who were describing the same symptoms I am still don't seem to have found a solution.
Incidentally, I am not running Spaces or Parallels, nor am I using an external monitor, all of which have been suspected in other threads as the culprit. Quitting all open apps doesn't seem to help either.
The issue seems to be limited to one account at a time; if I switch into another account while having this problem, the other account won't have problems starting its screen saver, but switching back doesn't resolve the issue for the first account. A reboot does.
Can anyone shed some light on this or offer another workaround? Or is this just an ongoing bug?This happened to me again the other day. Any suggestions?

If the phone was previously owned and is locked to that owner's Apple ID the ONLY way you can activate it is to get that person to release Activation Lock. This is an antitheft feature of the phone; stolen phones are useless.
If you purchased the phone new you created the Apple ID, and will have to remember it. If it is only the password you have forgotten go to https://iforgot.apple.com
