Can't activate i message
I can't activate i message on new ipad 2. keeps asking for my id and password and when I submit it goes right back to asking the same thing. What gives?
Yes I have I pad2 and I keepsm put my email out. Instead of phone number

Can you activate a message to show when you go to open a document that someone already has the document open?
We are using Dropbox application.
Documents are word documents.
Two users can open the same word document at the same time and both users can make amendments simultaneously without realising. This then creates a conflicted copy in Dropbox.
We would like to activate a message so if a user has a word document open and another user attempts to open it they receive a notification advising it is already in use.

What version of Adobe Reader have you installed on your Mac?
Please try installing on a different Admin user account and check if that makes a difference.

I can't activate i messages on my new I pad 4 using my current apple I'd it says in correct although I am sure it's correct and I use it in the App Store neither do I find a face time icon like I phone
It wants the admin password for your computer's user account, not your Apple ID password.

I enter the info
Click "Sign In"
Prompted for my Apple ID Password again (in a pop up)
Message appears "iMessage Activation" + "Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again."
OK the message
I verify Safari can get toethe web & load pages OK
Back to iMessage in Settings
Repeat steps 1-4
Now at iMessage screen where I set how people will message me. I have my iPhone's number, my email address I use for Apple ID, and my @me email address
I leave them all checked and I hit "Next"
"Verifying" with the spinning wheel at the top of the screen...
Pop up message says: "iMessage Activation" + "Unable to contect the iMessage server. Try again." (this is about the 6th time I've tried this)
What have I done to try to make it work?:
Retied as directed by iPad
Powered iPad off & tried again
Turned airplane mode on, off, and tried again
Verified that the iPad DOES have network access by browsing the web with Safari (not using 3G/4G, wifi only)

Why can I not get the green widget to activate on messaging?
On my i pad mine when messaging the green widget will not activate so I can only do i messaging which means my non apple friends are not contatctable.
You may want to try 3rd party apps like TextMe for your non-Apple friends.

I restored my old model of iPhone to factory settings successfully by following the restoration details in Apple website but soon as I press the next icon during configuration for the phone activation, I always get the "Cannot activate phone" message. Have I done anything wrong with the restoration causing this error?

if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
What wireless carrier did you use before this problem?
Does the app Cydia appear on your iPhone?
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>About=>Carrier?

Most likely your phone is carrier locked to a different carrier than the SIM card you're using. It will activate and operate only with the carrier to which it's locked.

I can't activate Facetime or Messages using my apple id. I
I can't activate Facetime or Messages on my iPad 2 using my apple id. It comes up with the message that my username or password is incorrect.
But I can login to the app store using the same username/password.
This problem is restricted to Facetime and Messages.

Hi, since I've bought the iphone, my facetime never works, I just can't activate the facetime in settings, when I put it on, after some time, the phone shows the message: activation unsuccesful. Do you guys know what should I do?
Where are you, what network are you on and where did you get the phone?
If you are on an unsupported network, Facetime may never be able to activate. If the phone originated in a different country, facetime is probably trying to send an International text message to activate. If you don't have International text messaging, it will fail. -

Mail Dock icon "new mail" count wrong
