Can't activate my device. it says ERROR ACTIVATION SERVER
i BOUGHT E BOOK FROM KOBO., INSTALLED DIGITAL EDITIONS 3.0,AUTHORIZED IT OK, I SEE MY E-READER (HIPSTREET) OK BUT WHEN I CHOOSE OPTION "ACTIVATE MY DEVICE IT SAYS "ERROR ACTIVATION SERVER. |THAT IS ALL I GET EVEN THOUGH I TRY AGAIN
Sometimes the activation server is just not available for a short time. Trying again usually corrects this problem. But as Peter Gillespie suggests, if the iPhone you are trying to activate has ever been jailbroken, or the computer you are using to activate the phone has been used to jailbreak an iOS device then you will get the Activation Server not Available message.

I found the following that goes over troubleshooting the same issue for the iPhone. I know you have an iPad, but the steps should still apply:
Perform the following steps:
Restart the iPhone.
Try another means of reaching the activation server and attempt to activate.
Try connecting to a known-good Wi-Fi network if you're unable to activate using a cellular data connection.
Try connecting to iTunes if you're unable to activate using Wi-Fi.
Restore the iPhone.
If you receive an alert message when you attempt to activate your iPhone, try to place the iPhone in recovery mode and perform a restore. If you're still unable to complete the setup assistant due to an activation error, contact Apple for assistance.

I purchased an iPhone 4s few weeks ago here in Pakistan and now I can't activate it because it says the this iPhone was lost and erased. Sign is with the Apple ID that was used to erase this iPhone. If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for a previous owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. You must contact the previous owner to get permission to use the device. If you cannot contact the previous owner return the device to where you bought it and get a refund. You will never be able to activate the device and no one can help you do it.

My grandson syned his Iphone to my itunes with my cell phone name "janies Iphone" I think I disconnected the abilitity to sync my itunes but I am not sure.
Can I remove the device that says janies iphone and reauthorize it again? Will that work to sync my phone and eliminate my grandsons phone? Then you should talk to that person. Apple won't help you if the iOS was downloaded illegally, and since this is their community, due to Terms of Use, no one here will help you either.

Unfortunately, you can't. There's no way around it. You'll have to get the ID and password used to originally activate the phone or you will not be able to activate it again. If you can't contact them, try to get your money back because you won't be able to use it.

I have purchased iPhone 3g device from my friend, I connected it to the iTunes to upgrade from 3.1 to 6.0 as many softwares were not being installed as iOS was not up to date. I upgraded but now I can not activate my device. What I should do now??? i am really feeling difficulty because i have been disconnected from the network.
