Can't activate Office Standard 2010

I upgraded by computer from using Vista to Windows 7 professional about 30 day ago. I had to reinstall my Office Standard 2010 program. I just received a notice that these programs have to be activated. I tried to activate using the activation keys that
I obtained from the VLC page. This is a standalone computer so I used a MAK key. It gave me an error message that I needed to check with my administration. I am the administrator. Any suggestions on how to make this work.

30days... this sounds like the "Grace" period for a KMSclient product key (which is the default if a MAK pkey isn't entered or is attempted but not successful).
Is there a specific error code displayed ?
If you open an Office application (e.g. Word), and then click File, Help, can you enter your MAK pkey in there ?

     I do appreciate your response but as you are suggesting that in some situations it may not correct the issues, it should be noted all systems have variances in them for installed software and personal configuration so it should not be summarily dismissed
    because in some environments it can help.

    Shanky, the posts above are from 2012.  If you're having an issue today, i'm certain its a different event.  Please start a new thread about it and let me know everything that is happening.  Note: I don't work weekends (usually), so I probably
    wont get to this until Monday. 
    Try: downloading with your browser with no addon or third party download manager tools.  making sure you can traceroute to download.msdn.microsoft.com, checking with your ISP.

  • Can not activate my access 2010?

    Everything else (WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK...) is good. It's just Access. The activation is successful. But it's continue requesting product key every time Access is opened.
    I tried to open is as administrator, also uninstall and re install it. But does not work.
    Any idea, guys?

    Two factors I can consider to may cause the problem:
    1. You've installed the following version of Office 2010 which is not included the Access liscence. Access programs installed on your computer before.
    Office 2010 Home and Student
    Office 2010 Home and Business
    Office 2010 Standard
    Office 2010 Professional
    Office 2010 Professional Academic University
    2. That is an indication that the activation was not completely successful due to Windows does not give the user the appropriate access to the registry to complete the activation.

    Although you've tried to open it as administrator, I prefer that you try to create a new user account with local administrator permission,
    remove Office 2010 completely and then reintall to check the result.

  • Uninstall Office Standard 2010 during installation of Office ProPlus 2010

    Hello,
    Office 2010 Standard is installed on most of our Computers. Now we have to replace it with Office 2010 ProPlus.
    I created a script which uses an MSP during the installtion. Here i configure, that all old Versions should be uninstalled.
    See the attached screenshot (sorry ist in German).
    Unfortunatly the Standard Version is not removed automatically.
     I added this unsinatll line to my installton script:
    "%programfiles(x86)%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE14\Office Setup Controller\setup.exe" /uninstall STANDARD /config %~dp0Remove_Standard\config_uninstall.xml
    and ist working if Office 2010 Standard is installed. But if ist not installed, I am getting a message which has to be apllied and so a sielent installtion is not possible.
    Any ideas?

    If you downloaded Office 2011 for Mac, you may not need a product key to activate it. Office 365 uses a new mechanism that the activation is based on your Office 365 Account instead of a product key.

    Make sure you have download the correct ISO as you are saying while open its not Office 2010. Download the correct ISO format which would help you.

  • How can I activate office 2013 professional plus with a MSDN product key ?

    I have office professional plus 2013 x64. I'm trying to activate it with my MSDN product key but it says "This key is for a different version of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 than what's currently installed"
    However the product key is for Office pro plus 2013 x64 and x86! So, what's the problem here?

    The problem could be one of these:
    1. Install volume license edition rather than retail
    2. install too many keys in your office some of them need to uninstall first
    3. You are using a block key.
    In the mean time use this cmd scrip and post the screenshot here: (hide the private infomation)
    1. Find out your key and installation screen:

    VISA DLL の参照先は間違いないと思います。
    懸念されていますエラーについて一般の検索エンジン【Google】で確認すると、
    いくつかの事例が報告されているようです。
    使用される開発環境（C/Excel VBA）では何か特別なアセンブリの登録が
    必要ではないでしょうか。

    I downloaded ISO Microsoft Office Standard 2010 from Volume license site, and burned to a dvd, launched the dvd and was able to get to the screen "click" to install office. I clicked the button and
    The progress bar launched, but after a couple of minutes the application stopped closed, and the message "Microsoft Office has stopped working" was displayed.
    I have run "Fix It" but still the same result.

    Please Save the Fix it tool locally and then use it. Clicking "Run" directly won't work.
    I would suggest you to follow the manual steps listed in follow article for uninstalling Office 2013, not only run Fix It tool:
