Can't activate Photoshop CS2

I have had Photoshop CS2 for years. Now installing it on new computer after my old one crashed. I am given 30 days to activate, but Adobe has shut down the activation server. I have my original CD, but will my Photoshop stop working after 30 days?

I am trying to activate Photoshop CS2 on a new computer. This is on Windows 7. The install worked fine and the application runs fine. However, when I try to activate it says that the activation server is unreachable with an error code 24:24. How can I activate my software?

There are CS2 downloads, plus the keys needed to activate them. Note; you MUST download those versions and use the supplied keys, not your old ones. Read and follow the directions on the page carefully, and you will be up and running again in no time.

If it's the same machine (same CPU) there should not be any need to activate. The actiovation is tied to your CPU.

This is not new. The fact that Mac OS no longer supports PowerPC applications starting with OS X Lion has been known for over a year now. You'll need to upgrade to the latest version of Photoshop

Can I remove Photoshop CS2 after I have upgraded from CS2 to CS5? I upgraded from CS2 to CS5 quite a while ago and I have never removed CS2. Will it affect CS5 to remove the old CS2 if it was an upgrade?

If I were you I would just delete the installed Adobe CS2 folder. Adobe CS2 uninstaller my remove settind CS5 made to your system after CS2. The CS2 uninstaller may try to restore settings to a point in time where there was no Photoshop installed on your system. If you do a CS un-install you may need to then Install CS5 on top of itself the update cs5 for the install will not have the updates you will be back at CS5 level .

Short answer: Adobe has taken down the CS2 activation servers. For legitimate licensees of CS2, it has posted a special version of CS2 that requires no activation but does require a new serial number, free to legitimate owners of CS2.

My activation for Photoshop CS was killed when I started playing with Windows 10.
Tried to activate it again and internet and phone activation is not available any longer. I see a couple of answers with regards to this same question - the answers all point to a CS2 download.
I don't have CS2 - I have CS. How can I get this working again?

Since the activation servers were disabled for both photoshop cs and cs2, you would need to download the non activation version of photoshop cs2 as a replacement for your photoshop cs.
Adobe doesn't offer photoshop cs for download, just photoshop cs2.

When downloading photos with bridge it used to open automaticly to the camera that I was using but the fact that double clicking the file in Bridge won't send it to PScc 2014 with a panel saying it needs Photoshop CS2. exe Bill Fox

Dklbbdk, I'm sorry to read about this issue! I use text messaging everyday! It's a very important way to communicate. I see that you have performed a master reset. My question would be, did you sign in to your gmail account during the setup? We want to make sure that it didn't autoload previous applications from the Playstore. This will make sure that an application isn't causing the problem. If that doesn't correct it, Samsung offers a software refresh at their store locations.
