Can't activate prepaid phone after factory reset

My prepaid galaxy legend was recently acting really weird, being super slow, and freezing. So I decided to do a factory reset, well after I selected to do the factory reset and it reset and everything it froze when it got to the Verizon logo screen when turning on so I took the battery out and attempted to turn it on, well it actually worked. Anyways I went threw the whole language selection thing and then finally got to the screen to activate it again. It didn't even say anything, or give any options then said that it wasn't able to activate. Well I have reattempted to activate it doing *228 multiple of times and finally gave up and decided to call customer service, now have been on hold for 1 1/2 hours I'm really starting to get frustrated. Can anyone please help me or give me any advice on what to do?

I tried doing an internal factory reset, it just stayed at reset after I clicked it, so I turned it off and did a hard reset.. turned it back on and the screen to activate came up, I hit activate, it called verizon, after pushing the numbers at prompt and waiting it said "Activation successful", I hit next and it went back to the first screen to activate the phone.. figured it was just an error, skipped, but I couldnt connect my google account (Because i still didn't have 3g due to activation). I turned it on and off, didnt work, factory reset again, didnt work, anyone know how to resolve this? It's really frustrating.. though im hoping its some freak network outage in my area and in the morning everything will be fine.

    This is the error message:
    On iTunes: "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your netword connection is active, then try again"
    On phone: "your iphone could not be activated because the activation server cannot be reached. Try connecting your iPhone to iTunes to activate it, or try again in a few minutes."
    This happens even though my internet is working fine and I can access itunes store normally

    Also I have not done anything to the phone ever since I bought it, so I assume that it's locked?

    The jailbreak made unknown changes to your iPhone and when
    you restored the iPhone, it was relocked to the original carrier.
    Only that carrier can unlock the iPhone, and the jailbreak may
    prevent that from completing.
    Google might provide some assistance, but Terms of Service
    prohibit jailbroken iPhones in these fora.

    I am having dilemma after reformatting my iPhone 5 and I can't get through the re-activation page. It requires me to log-in using my old apple ID which I abandoned 2 years ago after it was been hacked. Apparently, I was able to retrieve my old Apple ID and iCloud, however, the purchased items, downloaded apps, the linked device ("find my iphone app" to link) and other information were wiped out. I reset the password several times to see whether it helps, but still shows error message "Apple ID cannot be used to unlock this phone".
    Any advices and help to get through?

    Also I have not done anything to the phone ever since I bought it, so I assume that it's locked?

    For how long have you been receiving this error message? The initial run on the iOS 5 update should be over and the activation server should be up and running right now.   • Wrt600n still can't login to router after factory reset

    Ok, so I reset the router but i still can't login to the setup using the factory password (admin/admin) (blank/admin) (admin/blank).   Now I have an unencrypted network and no access to the setup... I even tried using the setup CD but it doesn't recognize the router.   Anyone have this problem or know of a possible fix?

    Its a very common problem. Generally peoples push reset button 10-15 sec for reset that it not good enough to return your router to factory setting. So hold the Cisoc Linksys wrt600n reset button this time at least 30-40 second. And try now for a new setting.

    2. Phone displays a firmware upgrade page (see attachment) for a few minutes. (Doesn't seems to be upgrading, but it "saids" upgrading)
    3. Saw Cisco logo with a Java Powered page.
    4. The whole thing loops again and again...
    I think the reason why the phone isn't booting up is because the phone needs to know where to find the configuration/firmware files from a tftp server. I do have a TFTP server, but normally I need to go in settings to change the alternative tftp server, but the thing is that now I can't even press the settings button...
    Please help.

    How many phones were reset and upgrading at one time? What is the setting of the TFTP Maximum Serving Count (Advanced TFTP Service Parm) on each of the TFTP servers?
    Sounds like too many devices trying to use TFTP at once.

    You need to use the credentials for the iCloud account that was used to turn on the Find my iPhone service.

    If you've been walking around for 2 years with someone else's account set up for Find my iphone, then you'll have to get hold of that individual. If you can't, there is no way to bypass activation lock.

    Has the device ever been hacked or jailbroken?
    Your signature states iPhone 3G, is that accurate?  I ask because the end of the line for the 3G is 4.2.1.  If it were possible to update that device beyond 4.2.1 it would involve hacking or jailbreaking which means you cannot get support here.

    I had the same issue with one of the three iPhones I updated on Wednesday.  There are many processes that are working for people including:
    - Resetting the device several times
    - Toggling the "Dont' Allow Changes" setting under "Restrictions --> Location Services"
    - Disabling Restrictions altogether.
    - Restoring from backup
    I was able to restore location services by selecting "Reset" and choosing "Erase All Content and Settings" to set the phone up as new.  When the phone resets and goes through the setup process, I was given the option to turn on location services.  I then restored from backup and was good to go.
    Some people have been able to resolve the issue by resetting but only using "Reset All Settings" without having to erase all content, but that did not work for me.  It took a while to get everything back to normal, but it is good to know that there was a somewhat simple solution.
