Can't activate Sprint Treo 755p

I purchased a couple of months old Treo 755p from a person who switched over to Iphone. Prior to activation I downloaded and installed the newest software upgrade, and I noticed that several keys do something else what they supposed to.
The option key brings up the Keyguard locking buttons, the shift key brings up the Messages screen the Alt key also brings up the Messages screen. The space bar does nothing, and the 0 key also does nothing, and this is my biggest problem, because in order to activate my phone, I need to input my Phone number, which contains three zeros. I am stuck. My old phone was deactivated, and the new one I can't activate. Is there any chance that some key functions have been altered by the software upgrade? If indeed that's the case can I revert to the previous software version, and how?
Please someone help me, I am in the pickle here.

If Sprint unlocks the radio you can. But the only other carrier that may work on is Verizon. And that's just voice and text. Data may not work on it.

Sprint Treo 755P Crashes with Good Mobile Messaging

I have a Sprint Treo 755P and it reboots with Good Mobile Messaging. I've installed it several time from the "Get Good" link on the phone. It will install and run for a day or two. Eventually it will crash and continueally reboot. I'm totally baffled. I've reinstalled it several times and even done a hard reset.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Installing IE 7 or Firefox on Sprint Treo 755p

I am unable to view certain functions on facebook unless I install internet explorer 7 or firefox. When I click on the message to do this, nothing happens. How can I install either of these?

Error message on Sprint Treo 755P AirSAMStatemachine.c 1913 14721

keep getting the following error message when I try and sync to my email. I have checked with my IT person and have all the correct settings. Any help for this?

Error 14721 means:
SSL: No trusted root. Fix: Verify Secure Connection (SSL) is enabled (checkbox) with correct port number. See Knowledge Library article 16733 for more information.

Sprint Treo 755P Exchange Active Sync

After 4 hours on the phone with Sprint trying all different kinds of things to get the active sync to work with our Microsoft Exchange server I got the answer that: You cannot use that phone to active sync.
Here is the error I get when I try to sync my phone using versamail:

Microsoft-IIS/6.0
Research on the Palm website tells me that the 6 means something to the effect that 'the buffer is too big to synchronize' & that the HTTP status of 400 means it cannot be resolved.
I set up the active sync and versamail for others in my company the same way I have set up mine. They are using older phones (Treo700P) and they have had NO issues with this, and as soon as I set up their phones it worked with no problems.
Is Sprint right that I cannot use this phone to active sync my email, contacts and calendar via my exchange server? Is there a way to get this to work?

And I should probably tell you how to get the Root Certificate your server is using!
Do this:
From your PC, browse to your OWA iste
Double click the lock icon in the bottom right hand corner
Select the Certification Path tab
Double click the item at the very top of the list
If there's only one item listed, post back here as we'll have to go another route
Click the Details tab
Click the Copy to File button
Use the wizard to export the file. Make sure you use DER encoded binary as the format
If you have more than two items in the list from step 3, then repeat steps 4-7 for all of them except the very bottom one. Once you have the certificate(s), follow the instructions from the URL in the previous post to install it/them.

HELP can't activate sprint used iphone 4

I just bought the phone from another person and Sprint have swapped ESN so the phone is now active under my line. Problem is I can't get the self activate to show my number to proceed the activation. It keeps popping up the previous owner's phone number. I've done a reset and erased everything but it seems to be linked to the previous owner somehow. Itunes isn't helping either. Shows the same thing as on the phone. Any ideas getting around this? I have the phone activated but can't use it

They have contacted Apple and can't get this resolve. I think I need to bring it in to Apple. It may be a software issue. It seems like its not fully restoring. I've tried it more than 10 times. When itunes said it was completed the iphone was still trying to restore. The line goes halfway and turns on.

Mac Book Pro and Sprint Treo 755p Bluetooth

I'm trying to send a voice memo from my Treo to my MacBook Pro. Everything is setup and it sees my phone but it says this: *The file being sent to you could not be saved on your disk. Perhaps the receive folder is located on a locked volume. Try changing the destination folder and trying again*. I can send anything else and it doesnt say this like pictures. Just wondering the problem. Thanks

Try this:
Go to System Preferences > Sharing.
Make sure Bluetooth is turned On and that it is checked to allow file sharing. Also, try changing the destination folder of files that are being transferred to your Mac and see if that helps at all.

Windows SBS 2008 and Treo 755P

Has anyone had any success getting a Treo 755P (Sprint) to sync with a mailbox on a Windows SBS 2008 server ?? The device will sync with a Windows 2003 64bit and Exchange 2007 server but will not with a SBS 2008 server. I have talked to both Sprint and Palm and they weren't much help other than to tell me it was a server issue. I am getting the following errors:

AirSAMStateMachine .c1913 3
Sometimes I get one error and sometimes I get the other but the 4628 is the most common. I have done a hard reset on the phone as well as tried it with multiple accounts with no success. I have iPhones, Blackberries and a Treo 855W working fine with the server, I just can't get this phone to work ... I also have a purchased cert. on the server from Verisign, but tried it both with and without SSL and neither works.
Anybody with any suggestions ??

Oh, good. You're almost there then. Does this problem affect other handhelds too? Palm/Versamail or WinMo? If you need additional testers, I can simulate one and connect with a test account.
Is the problem still occurring after a hard reset too? Is it limited to EAS when set to "as items arrive" or does it hang no matter what time increment is chosen?
Was the Sprint Treo 755p 1.07 update already applied?
Once EAS is connected to a good Exchange server, it usually works well. For kicks, did you delete and recreate the ActiveSync virtual folder on the server? Are there any hints to the hanging/freezing in the IIS logs?
Hopefully, the real prob will turn up and let him get this working 100%

Palm Desktop - Can download but can't access Palm Desktop for Treo 755p

After 6 months of use, no problem with my Treo. Last week my Palm Desktop won't let me access into it.  Have uninstalled/installed at least 6-7 times each. Desktop downloads onto computer fine but I only see the front "page" if you will.  Keep getting this error ...

Thank you Pat for all your help. Your advice worked. A dash shows the specific folders and keys I located on my computer (for those reading this and have exact same problem, you might have same and/or the other keys). I trust you gave all variable folder and key names. It worked perfectly the first time.
I had not made a backup or rename of my backup folder but as it was still in my Garbage Bin, I restored it after the fact.  The restored Palm Folder files scattered all over my computer. When I tried to reinstall after the Restore, same Microsoft error blocked me again out of Desktop.  Not knowing what files to really delete, but determination and "painfully" did a search by both my Treo username and "Palm", sifted thru every file, sent back to garbage bin, cleaned registry again, reinstalled, and held my breath as computer restarted.
Everything is cleaned out, running smooth and I have my backup folder.
Might I add to the viewers not to save a backup of the backup folder AFTER the fact. Either rename or save a duplicate outside of the Program Folder to avoid hours of needless work. Again thank you so very much for helping me.
Next:
Delete folders:

Then go to Start > Run
Type Regedit and click Run or OK
Then delete keys:

Treo 755p (sprint) shuts down while it is charging over night

My Treo 755p seems to be shutting down or going into some sort of sleep mode over night when I plug it in to charge. Every morning when I wake up I have to hit the home button to get it to "wake-up" and you can tell by the clock that is freezes around 2 o'clock every morning and its basically like the device is turned off from then on. I use my phone as my alarm clock so this is a huge problem! It seems like when it is frozen like this, the device thinks it is was what ever time it was when it shut down, so if it freezes at 2, my alarm doesn't go off at 6. I've checked through the preferences and don't see anything that deals with this. Any thoughts?

This feature sets the device to go off after a certain amount of time of inactivity. In your case, it is set to go off after it is not being used for 1 minute.
In order to determine if the problem is in your device or in the software that was installed, you will need to perform a hard reset. What you should do is sync your palm first so all your info is backed up on your computer and then perform a hard reset. Then, if you still have this problem after the hard reset is performed, the device itself is defective and needs to be replaced. If this problem doesn't come up anymore, you can reinstall the programs again (or sync your treo to the computer to get all the info back again) and then see if this problem comes up again. If it starts shutting down again in middle of the night, you will need to determine which program is causing this problem.
Let us start with step one. Did you sync this device to your computer yet? If not, sync it.
Then perform a hard reset. Do you know how to do that or do you need instructions?

Treo 755p - Sprint won't sync with Windows 7

I used the Treo 755 with XP with very few problems. I have tried and failed 6 or 7 times to connect to Windows 7. The installation takes me to the syncronize step and it dies there. When it won't sync I can only skip the step. It won't let me go back. I need to backup before I lose something important. Plus I have files I want to transfer and can't. Ideas?

I ask you the same question we ask everyone else having problems with Win7 - what version of Win7 do you have? 32bit or 64bit?
It's well known that you cannot sync via USB cable to any 64bit OS - Access (the company that owns Palm Desktop) never bothered to write drivers for XP/Vista/Win 7 64bit versions!
Only workaround is syncing via a wireless method - BlueTooth, Infra-red, or Wifi.

Treo 755p can't sync w/Exchange 2007 Server - AirSAMStateMachine.c 1913 14594

We recently migrated to an Exchange 2007 server and would like our phones to start using ActiveSync. All our Windows Mobile phones have no problem at all. However, we have two users who have the Treo 755p (running Palm OS), and they can't synch.
After some research I believe this is likely an SSL issue, and so I tried downloading the Palm Certificates Tool and uploading the root cert (GoDaddy whom issues us the cert that we use on our Exchange server), but that didn't work. I tried the actual cert issues to us, and a bunch of other combos, nothing works. The error is the same on both phones. Disabling the SSL in the settings simply gives us another error: AirSAMStateMachine.c 1913 4682
Any ideas? Maybe I'm uploading the SSL certs wrong?

Your IT crew may have installed the SSL certificate correctly, and then again, maybe not. I've seen a few 2007 migrations that have missed some crucial steps that are fairly easy to fix. And given the symptoms you're seeing, it sounds like they missed something (left the default self-signed exchange cert enabled - oopsie-dah)
Check with your IT staff and ensure they IMPORTED and ENABLED the SSL cert using the Exchange Management Shell. If they applied it via IIS console, that may be the problem right there. With luck, we can debunk and put an end to this godaddy panic. Tell your admin they can PM me for additional details if they need any.

If your data is backed up I would suggest doing a hard reset. It may be possible that the Treo is stuck in a looping cycle.
