Can't activate trial version of InDesign

When I launch the trial version of InDesign CS6, it prompts me to login to the Adobe web site.  It keeps telling me that I do not have an internet connection or my clock is set incorrectly.  Neither are true.  I have an ethernet connection and m y clock is fine.  Help!

Hemenway I would recommend trying the steps listed in Sign in or activation errors | CS6, CS5.5 Subscriptions, CS6 Perpetual - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html.  It maybe due to an entry in your host file.

  • Can't Download Trial version for InDesign CS4! Please help ASAP!

    Hi Everyone!
I have been trying to download the trail version of InDesign CS4 into my PC and it doesn't download.
What happens is that when I choose the software and click download, it takes me to a page that says "the download should start automatically, if it doesn't click here". The download doesn't start automatically and when I click what it says, it takes me to the previous page that I started the download.
I hope I am clear enough.
Please help me ASAP, I need this for a project that is due very soon!!!!!!
    Thanks a bunch,
    Rose

What version of Windows are you running (that's your Operating System). I've never seen that hand thing, but I don't use Internet Explorer. It's clearly a security feature  somewhere that is preventing the download, either in the browser or some other antivirus, malware blocker, or firewall program you have installed. What version of IE?
Allowing scripting and ActiveX controls would be in the IE Tools menu under Internet Options, Security Tab, custom settings button. It might be best to get someone with more experience to come in and help you make any changes rather than trying to do this yourself since you don't appear to be skilled in the inner workings of the computer.
If all else fails, I think you can order the trial on a disk.

  • Can't activate trial version of Acrobat Pro XI

I downloaded and installed the software, but when I try to run it for the first time, it asks me to sign into my Adobe Account. But then it says that I'm either NOT connected to the internet (I am ) or that my clock is set incorrectly (it isn't).
    What do I do?

If you paid for a subscription you don't need the trial. Log in with the Adobe ID associated with your subscription to activate the program.

  • Can't print from trial version of InDesign 5.5

    Hi
I've just installed the trial version of InDesign 5.5; it works fine except I can't print to my Konica Minolta laserprinter - the file goes to the printer but then vanishes from the printer queue without actually printing. The printer still works with other applications. What am I doing wrong? Any help gratefully received!

  • I have a CC student membership for one year, but I can only download trial versions of for example illustrator and indesign (30 days). How do I solve this problem?

I have a CC student membership for one year, but I can only download trial versions of for example illustrator and indesign (30 days). How do I solve this problem?

If there is no billing issue,
Creative Cloud applications unexpectedly revert to trial mode | CS6, CCM
If you use Photoshop at all, you may need to install the latest update to resolve this issue. See this blog post for more information:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/2013/01/photoshop-13-0-413-1-2-updat es-now-available.html
If you do not have Photoshop, then try the solution that others have mentioned previously:
Open the Adobe Application Manager (AAM).
If applicable, let AAM complete any automatic updates and restart itself.
Sign in with your Adobe ID. (Optionally, you can close AAM at this point.)
    Open a CS6 application (e.g. InDesign CC).
If prompted (e.g. you get the trial screen), click "License This Software" and sign in with your Adobe ID.

  • Have Creative Cloud - Cannot get off the trial versions of InDesign and Photoshop

    Windows 8
64-bit operating system, x64-bit based processor
Downloaded and installed trial version of InDesign CS6 (three days left on trial)
Purchased Creative Cloud two days ago
Downloaded and installed Photoshop CS6 (loads as a trial version)
When clicking on Registration number, get error message “not connected to Internet”
Live chat instructed to uninstall both InDesign and Photoshop and download again.
    Cancelled Cloud
Next day phone rep spent ½ hour trying to get it to work. Said it would all work and helped me re-purchase Cloud – received email confirmation.
Phone rep passed me on to someone who was supposed to give me a registration number. Spent another ½ hour doing the exact same thing. Was told there are no registration numbers in Cloud. Wanted to pass me off to another support department – I declined.
    Received email today:
“Your Creative Cloud membership will be transitioned to a Free membership at the end of the next billing period. This means you will lose access to many of the apps and services included with a Paid Creative Cloud membership.
In addition, since Free membership offers only 2GB of storage, you may need to remove files to get your cloud storage down to 2GB (or to purchase additional storage separately if you choose). If you leave more than 2GB of files on Creative Cloud for more than 90 days, you may lose access to some or all of your files. If you decide you want to return to a Paid membership, update your payment information and desired plan on the account management page.
If you need help or have any questions, contact Customer Support.
    Thanks and enjoy,
    The Adobe Creative Cloud Team”

  • How do I reinstall the trial version of Indesign

I just downloaded the trial version of Indesign.
While using the programme, Indesign quitted several times after a few minutes. Therefore, I uninstalled the programme assuming I could reinstall it again.
However, when I try to download the trial version again, there is no option for clicking download. In the download centre it says that Indesign is up-to-date.
What can I do in order to download the trial version again?
    Thanks.

    Hi Birthe,
Please follow the steps mentioned in http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html

  • Installing on top of a Trial version of InDesign?

I had patience problems with the TABS on CS3 and Adobe told me that as CS4 was out they didn't support CS3 anymore.
Against my nature I opened a Trial Version of InDesign 4. Tabs are just as fluffy but what the hell I ordered the full set CS4.
This took longer to arrive than the 30 day Trial. Yesterday I received and installed it all but my serial number wasn't accepted as valid.
I had the chance to open a new 30 trial so did that thinking I would then have time to contact the supplier and get him to sort it out.
Today I went on-line and InDesign disappeared. From the installing disk as well!
    Any ideas please?

    Thanks Peter,
I ran the Clean up but in the mean time managed to get hold of a nice sounding Irish girl in Adobe UK HQ who told me that the Serial Number I had been given was a CS3 number so my problem seems to be with my supplier, who was helping me yesterday, Sunday, from home. I'm now waiting for him to get me the correct number - then I can uncross my fingers and my legs!
Thanks to you and Buko for your advice.
    Hopefully - spitting 3 times in the Devil's eye - I'm solved!

    Go to creative.adobe.com.

On the Join Adobe Creative Cloud page, you need to fill out the form to create an Adobe ID and create a password. Then click Create. Then you'll be taken to a page where you can download the software.

  • I am trying to download a trial version of InDesign...

..but the Adobe Download Assistant doesn't give InDesign as one of the products to chose from.   Is there another Launch Application I should use and where can I find it?

Oh and I am trying to download a trial version of InDesign though the Adobe website.   I am logged in as a member.  When I click on Download trial a Launch Application box comes up and say that the link needs to be opened with an application.  The logical one is Adobe Download Assistant, but when that opens InDesign is not offered for download - just things like Photoshop Elements and Acrobat Pro
