Can't Add 2 Or More Titles... Why?

I have iMovie '08. I added a title to overlay on a portion of my movie. When adding it the time for it was 1:17:03 or some similar number. There is no way to right click and change its length. To make it last only ten seconds I drag each end (while highlighted with the yellow box) to the points where I want it to appear.
I want to do the same thing in another portion of the movie and the title will not become part of the movie in the spot I want it to be. It is not over the previous title. There is no overlap. The program will allow me to add it much farther down into the movie near the end. I don't know why there is a cutoff section that won't allow the title to be used.
I tried turning off iMovie and opening the project again with no results. Whatever needs to be changed to make it work isn't being changed when the program is closed and reopened.
What is the solution? I see two other posts asking essentially the same thing with no answer from a forum member or Apple.
This is a work project and needs to be completed as soon as possible. It is a short promotion for a web site. It is not a professional film. I'm not a movie editor or film maker. I just expect the program I have on my computer to work. If Apple makes iMovie to help non-film makers make pretty videos then they should ensure their program works.
Somebody give us some love and help us all get the answer to this simple question.

Thank you AppleMan1958. What you have suggested is a good work-around. It did indeed work. I don't really consider this problem solved because it didn't explain why the iMovie program won't let us add more than a couple of titles, in my case an overlay.
I can add all the beginning and ending titles that I want as long as they stand alone. The ones that have text over the movie were the problem for me.
To anybody else wanting to use this work-around; be sure to do all of your volume, color, and other editing for the things that must be changed to the entire length of your project before you begin chopping up your movie with edits for adding titles. Otherwise you will have a rough time trying to match everything in each of the individual clips.

I'm not sure how you would merge them without dragging and dropping the events from your separate calendars into the one you want to hold the merged events.
iCloud won't sync calendars from external account such as Google. The easiest thing to do would be to add them to your iOS devices as explained here: https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/151674?hl=en&rd=1. They will then appear alongside your iCloud calendar on your iOS devices just as they do on your Mac.

I have a master iTunes file that contains all the music that I or my children have bought and then my own collection within the file. That song, 'Mercy, Mercy Me/I Want You' is gone from both lists
Nabitnak, Not sure what kind of master file you are keeping, but the song file is probably in your backup.
Why is that song not available on iTunes? I can get it on Amazon.
The iTunes Store, like any retailer, does not have 100% of all existing items. But anyway, if you can buy it on one store, it hardly matters why another store does not have it.
The coincidence of my missing song and iTune's missing the same song is beyond suspicious.
Maybe, although if you have a backup it should be there.
To address the other part of your question, "I can find it on You Tube, why not iTunes?": Youtube has content that is uploaded by users. Music retailers such as iTunes have content that they are licensed to sell as downloads. The two things have nothing to do with each other.

I downloaded Yahoo toolbar and only thing that shows up in the browser is a Search window and Mail app (no Settings button so can't add apps to the toolb)--why?

I can't add more titles in to the project

My clip have 29 minutes. I have many Titles into to this project.... but now, a can't add more titles, when I drag the title inside one clip, not on the background, the title came back to the title menu window. How can I resolve this?

I resolved the problem.
I found a error. There was a very litle piace of title, lost in the midle of the movie, in the top of another title.... once I try to deleted this piace and I couldn't, now I did it and the movie acepted the titles again..... i can't explain... but it works.

Adobe Reader - FREE - reads PDF files, prints them, fills forms.
Adobe Acrobat - $$ - as Reader, and makes PDFs and edits them, sorta, and does a bunch more.
So if you had Acrobat try and find the license to avoid having to pay again...

You may try the list.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save curent artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Can not add more contacts on address book

i have a blackberry curve 8520.
at the momment i have 288 contacts but i can not add more. I go to menu, address book, new contact, the window give me the options, i add the information (name, phone, email, etc) and when i want to save the contact it do not save
i tried to reboot removing the battery for a minute and restart but still with the same problem.
Also i figured out that when y sync my bb with the desktop manager, the address book is not sync it says (Adress book not installed) that is why i can not swipe the contacts to reinstall the info because i have no back up of the address book
Please i need some help with this issues

While there is no hard limit on how many contacts you can have in your device, there is a soft limit in that you can only have as many as your device memory can handle. Check your available memory to see if you have any remaining space. If not, then consider cleaning out/uninstalling some things you do not need in order to increase available memory for more contacts.
Disclaimer: I'm just a regular user like the rest of you. I have spent a lot of time learning the limitations of the Blackberries to know how to fix most problems. If I have suggested a fix, please give a kudo and mark as a solution!

I'm making a movie with a lot of titles and music and all go well and, I don't know what happened, but I can't add titles no more and I can't adjust the time of the titles I put before. It works no more only for this movie and the other movie I made are ok. Did anybody have an idea about what can do that?

As I understand it, a number of people have reported this problem. Believe the general work around is to segment your clip first and then add the titles to the individual segments to which they refer. Since no content is actually lost and the "split" content remains "abuted," the segmented project plays the same as if it were still unsegmented.

Can I add more ram than suggested

I need to get some more ram for my imac that apple say I can expand to 16gb. I currently have the standed 4gb.

Although you can install up to 16 GBs of RAM in both 21 and 27" models, I can not confirm that you can install 32 GBs in the 27" model. You might check OWC to see what they say.

I would like to add more than one Wiki-Cal to my Webcal (or CalDAV). Well I have two Wikis with calendars both are shown in my webcal (see photo)
I have added the wiki calendar "Oberstufe" and from another wiki "Praktikum".
In one Wiki I want to add a second calerndar "stundenplan". This works very fine (see photo)
The problem is that I can't add this second calendar "Stundenplan" to my iCal calendars. The Link is added. When the mouse is over this link there is a hand. But pressing this link doesn`t work.
Where is my mistake?
I'm using OS Lion Server with an SSL-Connection and a selfsigned certificate.
