Can't add a photo to the addresscard in address book

For some reason, photo's don't stick in new address cards anymore. When I drag a picture in, it shows the green ball plus but then when I release the mouse button a cloud appears and gone is the picture! Anybody any idea why? Thanks for any answer!

I am having a problem with AddressBook in Mountain Lion. In Lion it was easy to drop a picture from the browser in to the Addressbook picture placeholder. In Mountain Lion the + sign appears but it refuses to stick.
What I found to work is that you have to go in to Edit a record in Addressbook
Then click on the picture edit in Addressbook picture.
Then click on recents.
Then drop the picture from the browser in to one of the recent picture slots.
Then click "done."
This is a major pain and a retrograde step.
I have also noticed that Addressbook preferences has dropped the ability to choose the phone format in the Addressbook record.

Can I add external Internet users to my Global Address Book?

We have a semi permanent relationship with another company. We have Groupwise 7.02hp1a and they use Exchange 2007 or 2010(not sure which). They have added many of my people's Internet Addresses they normally deal with here into their Global Address Book(whatever they call it in Exchange). I would like to add in the Internet address of thirty or so of their people into our Global address list for a couple of reasons.
1. My people have Blackberries and they could just type in Bob Smith, do a lookup and send to him. Similarly it would be there on their desktop address list as well.
2. I could include them in system-wide email distribution lists where applicable.
3. In the event someone quits, is terminated or swaps jobs, I could make one global change.
I thought maybe adding a new external entity instead of user, but while that shows up in our addr. list, I can't point it to an internet account. Licensing cost is not a problem so I tried giving one of them a full mailbox at my place and then have a rule fwd all to the outside addr. but it looks sloppy and it is hard to hold conversations because the fwd mailbox is in the sender spot rather than the original sender so reply doesn't work. They have done this on their exchange system so I imagine there is a way on ours as well. Thanks for any help you can give.

Create an external domain and post office in which you add these users.
The'll just appear in your global address book.

Can I add "BCC" quick feature to my mail/address book?

When I write a new email using MAIL I can click open the address book. In that new window, in upper left, I can click "TO" or "CC:" But there is no "BCC:" option. So, to do a BCC, I have to drag the names, or group of names to the BCC field in the email. Takes more time.
Is there a way to do a quick BCC from the address book w/o dragging?

Can I add a photo in in-browser-editing?

I would like to add a photo to the thumbnail slideshow. Can this be done in the inbrowserediting? Or is it only available to the muse file?

Adding new images to the slideshow can only be done inside Adobe Muse. This feature is not as of now available via In Browser Editing. You can however replace existing images via In Browser Editing.

Can not add a picture to the JFrame from an ActionListener class

As topic says, I can not add a picture to the JFrame from an ActionListener class which is a class inside the JFrame class.
I have a Map.java class where I load an image with ImageIcon chosen with JFileChooser.
I my window class (main class), I have following:

I recently updated my iPhone 4s to ios6, and lost 1200 odd contacts. I have a backup from about 4-5 months ago avaiable. Can I add/update contacts from the back up rather than restore which i assume will literally delete any new contacts added...?

I have a backup from about 4-5 months ago available on an external hdd as a time machine backup. Can I add/update contacts from the back up rather than restore? The reason i wish to do this is because in the update i didnt lose any messages, so all of the people i have met and networked with since that last update those many months ago, i have in my messages listings. They are all unidentified numbers at present but over time i will be able to work through the messages and based on the conversation recall who each was with. Also, yesterday, some two weeks after the update had left my contacts list entirely empty... a vast majority just reappeard, though all of them are without any phone numbers, all just emails or facebook contacts. This is the work of facebook not mac/ios6 isnt it...? Any help here would be greatly apprecaited. I am about 2 days from flying to canada and having those contacts would make life a lot easier.

You should be syncing your contacts with an app on your computer or cloud service (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, etc), and not relying on a backup. If you haven't been doing this, start now and then restore your old backup. You will then be able to sync the new contacts back into the phone. However, you will lose all messages, etc newer thant the backup.

It depends on the size and number of photos you are sharing around.
Nothing wrong with putting a copy of the photos on the TC if that works for you. Each person can access the photo just fine like that.
I am not saying don't.. just beware of the risks so do it prudently..
But if the library is too large, you will steal space on the TC that should be used for backups.. if all the computers in the network are backing up to it, don't use too much of the spare space.
Better to buy a firewire drive (or USB but firewire 800 are much faster) and connect it to a computer that is regularly turned on. Share that drive to the network. It will then also be backed up correctly to the TC although again be careful of the amount of files, and still keep a straight copy backup somewhere else.
I am recent convert so workflow on the Mac is not my forte.. so perhaps some of the wiser heads can also drop in and post a reply.

Shift-click the photos or Ctrl-click them to select them, then right-click one of them and choose Delete from Catalog. They will all go together.

To be more precise, i am creating a property list and I want

I had this problem to but I figured it out. Basically the photos are there because your photos on your computer are synced into your phone differently, not sure how it works. But plug in your phone to your computer, open itunes, click on your phone, go to photos and uncheck the "Sync Photos from:" Option at the top. A message should pop up asking whether you want to keep or remove the photos already on your phone. Click remove, and there you go
