If you touch one of the appointments/events listed in the widget it brings up that appointment/event only. You must touch the date listed at the top. Not totally obvious.

Do you happen to have a Mac? If so, and if you use iCloud to sync your calendars, you can do that on your Mac and your iPad will understand. But you cannot create such a repitition (or something like the third Tuesday of each month) on your iPad.
In Calendar on your Mac, you would create the event, choose "Custom ..." as the repitition frequency, then choose "Days" and choose every 3 days.

Can't add any events to my Calendar on my iPhone 5S

All of a sudden I can't add any events to my Calendar on my iPhone 5S. It worked fine just a couple days ago. I haven't loaded any new software and I haven't changed anything in the Settings regarding the Calendar. I have the latest (newest) software 8.2 upgrade. I've done everything I can think of, including turning it off and restarting it. I have not reset it back to factory defaults, I hope not to have to do that.

I click on the + button (add button) and it does allow me to enter a Title, a Location and all the date/s & time/s. The Add button is active and I click on it and it returns me to the calendar. I don't get any kind of error. However, their is no event on the day or time I chose. Tried it on different dates, different times, and doesn't matter whether it's a Specific Time Event or and All Day Event, it just doesn't same it.

Calender on the pre can not import calender events from OL or ICAL

You know what be really cool? .I can forwared calender events from OL to Ical & visa a versa. The calender on either machine will recoginize the event & import it. I send it through my gmail account. The calender on the PRE does not have the ability to open it & place it in the calender. It does not recogonize it. I wish it did. That be cool.

Well, I found the answer to my problem. I can add events to my OL. OL will sync with google calender. Google calender will sync with my phone automatically. This works great.!

After update to iOS 5 my iPad-1 can't add new events to Calendar and Contacts

After update to iOS 5 my iPad-1 (and iPhone 4) lost "+" symbol to add new events to Contacts /stock iOS-5 Contacts app/, and can't edit old contacts - i can't change user photo, can't add phone number, ect.and thereis no opportunity to add new contact.
Long Tap is not working correctly.
And - some problems with iPad-1 stock iOS-5 Calendar - lost "+" symbol and there is no oppotunity to add new events to Calendar.

Can't add New Events

The error message I'm getting can be seen here: http://my.roadtrips.com/picture4.png
I have the server all set up and I set up my computer to access the iCal server. Everything looks fine, soon as I add an event I get a an error message. If I remove the event it goes away. I need to be able to add events on the server .
Both the server and the desktop have been updated to 10.5.2
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Can´t add new events to iCal :(

Hey there,
i´ve got a problem with my iCal. The little calendar on the left corner is stuck to January 2001 and i can´t add a new event. The other thing is that i can´t close the programm normally. I really hope you cann help me because i am not really sure what to do. I allready try to delete the cache and tried to use it with a different user account but nothing is working so far.
So i really hope for help

Often iCal display problems can be corrected by refreshing the the com.apple.iCal.plist file. You will find the com.apple.iCal.plist file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. Quit iCal, drag the com.apple.iCal.plist file to your Desktop, log out/in or restart and check iCal for normal behavior.

I can't add an event to an event structure. Option not visible in the menu. Fix?

I didn't have the event structures on my pallette to begin with (LabVIEW 6.1), so I added them by downloading the struct.mnu file on the website. Now they show up in the pallette, but are not usable because I can't add events. Any help would be much appreciated.

You're correct, if you have the Full version, you should be able to create and edit the Event Structure. The Base version is the only one that is limited.
I would try the reinstall and see if that takes care of it. Something must have gotten corrupted.

Can't add an event in month view

I just installed Lion on 3 of my machines (2 iMacs and an air). On my one iMac I am unable to add an event in month view in iCal, I have tried every which way possible to add an event and nothing. However I am able to add event in day and week view. Also, when I go to add an event in month view while I don't get a response on the troubled iMac my other two computers show that and untitled event was added where I was attempting to add the event. Has anyone else experience this problem after installing Lion?

Try refreshing the iCal plist file. You will find the com.apple.iCal.plist file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. To get to the Library folder use Finder>Go>Depress the "Option" Key and select LIbrary. Quit iCal, drag the .plist file to your Desktop. Then log out/in or restart.

Ical missing the can't add new events! Help?

The plus sign is missing from my ical on my iPad, how do i get it back to add new events?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
No data will be lost.

How can I declarativly add extension to existing event handleres in BC4J+UIX page?
I generate through wizards UIX+BC4J pages and I want extend some actions in eventhandlers section. Can I do it in some way like <event name=".." method=".." class=".."> like in any regular event handlers?

My iPhone 5s was just updated recently to 7.1.1. Now my calendar information got deleted and I can't add any events to my calendar. The button in the top right corner should be orange but it's grey and it won't let me add events when I try to click onit

You are on Windows 2000, you do not have a "Firefox" button, and should consider yourself to be fortunate in that you still have menus and don't have to do anything to get the menus back instead of the "Firefox" button. (The same applies to Windows XP users).
Use the "File" menu to get to Import. You are not on Windows 7 or Vista, and don't have to put up with the nonsense added for Aero.
If you want the "Firefox" button you can get it with View -> toolbars -> (uncheck) Menu Bar. The menu bar and the "Firefox" button were supposed to be mutually exclusive (which is impossible in some cases without being incompatible).
Once you are using the "Firefox" button ...
Use the "Alt" key to view the menu bar (temporarily) containing File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, and Help. On Windows 7 and Vista, the menu bar was hidden by default in Firefox 4 and above. These menu items are more or less available under the "Firefox" button which has the most used of the built-in Firefox menu items available in a different format.
To get back to having menus again. "Firefox" button -> Options (second column) -> (check) Menu Bar

My calendar isn't working on my iPad. I can't add any event. Someone said there is a "plus" button in the lower right corner and I have none.

I have tried to add events on my calendar app (the one already on my iPad when I got it) and I can't figure out how to add event. A friend said there should be a "plus" button on the lower right corner and I have none.

Was able to fix it. Just enable iCloud via your settings on your ipad. For some reason that allows Calendar to work properly. Just another way Apple is trying to make you use ALL of their products, rather than just one...

Can I add an event on iCal on my mac, and sync it to icloud?

I mean, it sure seems like it would be simple! But unless i'm missing something, it just isn't possible. I need to be able to work offline using iCal, put an event on it, and then sync it to iCloud so I can then have it accross all my devices, including sharing it with my wife. Please tell me i'm missing something and it can be done!
