Can't add computer to iTunes Match (Windows)

I subscribed to iTunes match and got a confirmation email.  When I click on "Add this computer" on iTunes, a box pops up prompting for my password.  I enter it, and  the iTunes status bar briefly flashes "accessing iTunes store" but then nothing happens.
Am I doing something wrong, and am I the only one having this problem?
Thanks!

Heres the fix.  I had to manually download iTunes 10.5.1 from Apple's website.  For some reason it wasn't auto updating.  After i finished installing, I opened iTunes, went to Store>Turn On iTunes Match. It prompted me to add my computer, and it went through the process.

  • Not possible to add computer to iTunes Match

It's a bit of a strange issue. The iTunes Match page in iTunes looks like it does not load a style sheet. Font is in Times New Roman and page looks ugly in general. The buttons "No Thanks" and "Add this computer" do not work. I can click on them, but nothing happens. It does work well on my other Macbook.
I tried solving it by deleting all iTunes references and downloading en re-installating, but no luck. Restarting the program and or computer does not help. The Match page does access the Apple servers on first load.
    Anyone any idea's?

Files in .wav format don't carry a tag, but iTunes should be able to store data for most fields in it's internal database. The main exclusion is artwork which it can sometimes show for .wavs if they are matched with an album on sale in the store but to which you cannot attach your own artwork. Or at least that's the way it works on the Windows build. I can certainly attach comments to my few test .wav tracks and I've just confirmed it works with the current build, 10.2.1.

  • Can't add computer to 'iTunes in the Cloud'

For some reason, I'm not able to activate iTunes Match on my MacBook (late 2008 unibody). However, I've successfully enabled iTunes Match on my iMac (mid-2007), iPhone 4 and work computer (MacBook Pro) for a total of 3 devices. It will not activate when I select Store > Turn on iTunes Match or when I try to add the machine from my iTunes Store account (see attached photo).
I've tried downloading iTunes and reinstalling, deleting preference files, repairing permissions, etc. and nothing has worked. Any suggestions or do you think I'll have to make a trip to the Genius Bar?

  • Need to re-add computer to iTunes Match each time I open iTunes

Every time I start up iTunes (10.6.1.7) on my Windows Desktop PC (Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1, 64 bit), I see the cloud with lightening bolt icon next to the music item in the iTunes Library indicating that iTunes is not connected with iTunes Match.  I am able to work around the issue easily enough by clicking on the store menu, turning off iTunes Match, and then turning iTunes Match back on (and entering my Apple ID password and waiting a few minutes for iTunes Match to redo the initialization process).  I would like to actually solve the problem instead of having to work around it every time I fire up iTunes.  Any recommendations?
    Thanks!

I have iTunes 10.6.1(7) 64 Bit on OSX Lion 10.7.4 and I have to log into and resetup iTunes Match every time I open iTunes after I have restarted my Mac.

  • I can't add videos to itunes in windows xp & windows 7

I'm using windows 7, I cant add the vdeos to the library of tje itunes. There isn't any problems wtih video formats, 'cos this videos i had in my iphone 4s before I used windows xp. First time when I used windows XP i can add videos, but then i can't add

There are settings that you can set when the ipod is connected to itunes that you can set on how the tv shows and movies load onto the ipod.
    1. Open itunes and connect the ipod to the computer.
    2. Find one of the tv shows that are not moving over to the ipod and double click on it to play it. If the computer is not authorized to play the content, a window will open for you to put in your account name and password to authorize the computer.
if your ipod is set to automatically sync with itunes, follow these steps
    3. once the video or movie plays on the computer. Click on the ipod on the left hand side of itunes so that you see a summary page on the right side of itunes.
    4. at the top of the summary page, you will see a row of tabbs, click ont he tv shows tab.
    5. then select how you want the tv shows to load onto the ipod.
If your ipod is set to manually manage
    3. drag and drop the tv shows or movies onto the ipod on the left side bar of itunes.

Hi, I was trying add a second computer on iTunes Match.
I was signed into iTunes on both machines with a single ID which already has iTunes Match from the primary machine. When I selected iTunes match on the second, it asked me to subscribe to it again rather than add.
To try to fix this, I signed out of the primary machine and so i was only in the second computer.  This didnt work and when i tried to log back into Match on the primary machine it has the same problem now, asking me to buy iTunes Match when I already have it!
Now I've got it on neither machine- can someone please help!!
    Cheers,

Only one library can be matched at a time. If you continue, the other iTunes Match session will be stopped and this computer's library will be matched instead.
    Hi,
You often get this message when match thinks that you already have a match in progess on another computer.
If you are happy that all your music is on your new hard drive (or if it is only in the cloud), you should select "this computer".

  • Imposible to Add a computer to iTunes Match

I just got a new Mac and I've just tried to add it to my Apple Id, and I got a message similar to: "You already exceed your 5 devices" and I understand the message, please avoid to tell me how to deauthorize all the devices, I know how to do that and besides even if I want to I can´t do it because I already did it and I can't do it again until 2013, I know about the limit of 1 deauthorized per year. My concern is not that, iTunes Match is supposed to support up to 10 devices. Until now I did authorized 1 iPhone, 1 PC, 1 iPad and I've just tried my new mac... but something happened and I can't authorized mynew Mac to add all my iTunes Match music trough iCloud.
Any ideas? I am from México and there is no Apple Retail Store to go and made an Genious bar appointment, and the local support here is useless because is trough retailers.
Sorry for the grammar, English is not my born lenguaje.
    Thanks.

  • Constantly Needing to re-add my computer to itunes match?

Recently, my main computer seems to be disconnecting from the itunes match service every time I close itunes and re open it.  the cloud icon gets the lightningbolt on it.
this is the computer connected to my library, which is on a network drive - always accessible.  If I click on "update itunes match" when the lightning bolt is on the cloud icon, it says "sign out of itunes and sign back in"
When I do that, the cloud icon is missing and I have to re-add my computer to itunes match.  i have done this at least 6 times - it never seems to stay connected after restarting itunes.
So frustrating!  Anyone know how to fix this?

I'm having that same problem this morning.
But before that, what fixed it for me was getting rid of ALL of my playlists. Apparently there was something in one of my playlists (smart or otherwise) that was making iTunes Match choke. It's definitely a bug in iTunes Match.
So try ditching all your playlists, and re-setting up iTunes Match, see if you still have the problem.
But like I said, I'm having the problem again, but I'm guessing it has to do with work for the iPad3 launch or something. Hopefully :-/

  • HT204406 Please help!  I have downloaded the 64 bit version of iTunes for my Sony running WIndows 8.  I have iTunes running on 3 other machines (MACs) with no issue.  On the Sony with WIndowns everytime I turn on ITunes Match WIndows fails, everything shu

I Have downloaded the 64 bit version of iTunes for my Sony running Windows 8.  Install went fine and I can get in to iTunes and see the music residing on this machine.  However, everytime that I try to run iTunes Match Windows crashes.  So frustrating.  BTW, this worked fine until a couple of weeks ago.  Anyone know what's going on?

How big is your library?  I would recommend the following troubleshooting steps:
    - Backup your library.  Always a good idea before messing with things.
    - Create a new library.   Refer to this article for details:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1589.  This won't delete your old library, you're just creating a new empty one.  Also refer to this article to get back to your old library later.
    - Add a few albums into this new library.  Not everything, just a small sampling, as a test.
    - Activate Match on this new library.  You shouldn't have to re-pay, it should just say "Add Computer" or similar.
    - At this point, Match should run again. With just a few albums it should complete in just a few minutes.
If iTunes doesn't crash at this point, then likely there's something about your original library that Match doesn't like - what that is I don't know, but at least you'll know it's not your PC.   If iTunes still crashes, then if could be a number of other things, but probably not your library.   My next suggestion (if you haven't already done this) is to uninstall / reinstall iTunes.   If that doesn't work, then my next ideas you won't like.

  • HT204406 how to remove a computer from itunes match

is there a quick way to remove a computer from itunes match?

It is a two-step process. In iTunes pull down Store > Turn off iTunes Match. Then Store > Deauthorize this computer.
Also, it is strongly recommended that you format the HDD of the comptuer before you dispose of it. Just make sure you make a backup of all important data first so you can move it to the new computer.

  • Hello, my iTunes dates are crashed on my mac, how can I download all my itunes match songs and save on my mac?

Hello, my iTunes dates are crashed on my mac, how can I download all my itunes match songs and save on my mac?

    Hi mrmoo13!
You have a couple of options for transferring your music library from one computer to another. First, you can download all of your music that is stored in the cloud on iTunes Match by following the instructions on this page:
iTunes 11 for Mac: Access all your music anytime, anywhere with iTunes Match
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12284
You can follow steps listed in the section right here:
Play or download songs from iCloud
You can play songs directly from iCloud, or you can download songs so you can play them when you’re not connected to the Internet.
If a song is available in iCloud, it has a Download button next to it.
To play the song, double-click it.
To download the song, click the Download button.
After you download a song to a computer, it remains in the computer’s iTunes library, even if you turn off iTunes Match.
To only display downloaded songs in your iTunes library, choose View > Hide Music in the Cloud. This also hides any previous iTunes Store purchases you haven’t downloaded.
For information about downloading and playing songs on an iOS device, see the documentation for the device.
In order to make it easier to download all of your music, you can highlight all of the songs in your iTunes Match section and then click download, as mentioned in these instructions.
You can also choose to transfer the music from your old computer to the new one by following the steps in this article, whcih will give you some other options for doing this transfer:

  • Add cd to iTunes match

I have a stack of CDs to add to my iTunes. I have iTunes Match and wondered if I can add the songs to the cloud without having to wait for the CDs to import on to the hard drive? It would save a great deal of time and disk space if I could. Does anyone know if this can be done?
    Thanks

Does anyone know if this can be done?
No, iTunes Match needs the CD tracks as audio files in your library to be able to match them. You can delete the original tracks you imported, after they have been matched with the songs available at the store and keep only the matched versions.
