Can't add, delete or edit!

I've been having problems with my iPod Touch ever since I purchased it.
I use Windows XP SP3. My iPod Touch is a 4G, 64 GB, WiFi, version 4.2.1.
When I first purchased it, I had iTunes 10.0.0. But since it refused to work on it, I had to update it to the newest, which was 10.2.2.12. Unlike my old iPod Touch, I couldn't use the "drag and drop" method, I could only use Sync or "copy-paste" method. Because I thought it was maybe because of the new iPod or iTunes, I didn't give it much attention. I used this "copy-paste" method several times without any problem. But the thing that was from the begining is that I couldn't edit anything I added. Normally when I right-click, an option window would pop out with several options, but with the new iPod, it was only 3, and the "Get Info" option was locked (I couldn't edit anything in that window).
About 2 weeks ago, it stopped responding to the "copy-paste" method, and I don't wanna try Syncing because I'm afraid all the stuff would be deleted.
I searched some topics here, there was no "lock" icon anywhere, I did remove the check on "Check for new software updates" in the Preferences but nothing happened.
The apps work normally with no problem, aside from crashing from time to time in one of them, I can download apps from Apple Store from the iPod, and view the internet. I can listen to the music like always.
This problem doesn't happen to my 2G iPod, even though I use the same computer and iTunes!
I've only tried with music files so far on my 4G iPod.
Can someone help me please?

Can't add, delete, convert anchor points

Finally upgraded to CS3, and I find that I can't can't add, delete, convert anchor points on a path in certain documents. I get the "Please use the XX tool on a segment of a path. The appearance tells me I have a path. I can paste the paths into a new file, and everything works. I saved to CS2 and can manipulate to my hearts content. These are not a complicated paths (4-12 points).
On a related note, when I tried to draw the path, the anchor point would not appear where I clicked but up and to the right or down and the left. Moving points with the mouse or the arrow tool constrains the angle and length. Moving in the transform palette, i can move it freely
Obviously, I can copy and paste these into new docs, but is there I did in setting the original documents that caused this behavior, because I'd like to avoid it in the future.
Sorry if this is an obvious question, I'm more of 'Shop person. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, removing grid saved me too. The irony here is we use grids to try and be more accurate, yet the paths can't even be found with snap on. Really dumb 'gotchya' for anyone moving over to this software IMHO

Why can't I delete or edit my checkboxes in acrobat 8?

Why can't I delete my checkboxes in Adobe acrobat?? I have created and deleted hundreds of checkboxes all with different functions. I have never run into this problem. I can't edit, move, or delete a checkbox. Nothing happens when I hover over it. They work just fine when you check them, you just can't edit them. Help!

I'm using Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional. I literally just used that to create my form. It's very basic. No - the form is not secured. And I have no idea what enabling a form for extended rights.
It's as simple as this. I have created a form out of a blank adobe acrobat page. I just started a new document. I have created around 200 checkboxes. All of which worked up until yesterday. They still check and uncheck. I just can't edit them. When I hover my mouse over the checkbox, it doesn't light up red anymore (which means you're hovering over an editable form) it is just the cross; the same one you use to create a checkbox.
I'm using no special program. Simply Adobe Acrobat 8 professional

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to add permission policy levels in web application.
Instead of add the permission levels to the web application, you can lterate all the sites in the web application, then add the permission levels to the sites.

Can't create, delete or edit users in /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1 via WGM

Hi guys,
I have followed Mike Bombiches guide to 'Leveraging AD on Mac OSX.' All was fine yesterday...
But today I cannot create, delete or edit users in the OD Directory. The New User/Group etc.. icons are greyed out... And yes I am authenticated...
Any ideas?

Check the logs.
Also use dscl for authenticated reading and writing. Its error reporting might be easier to corelate. See man dscl.

Can Contribute add, delete, edit links in this photo gallery?

I'm not having much luck getting Contribute CS4 to delete or add photos, with correct nav, to the gallery below.
It takes them out, leaving a blank page, or adds them in, not linked to the buttons. Replacing the photo with a new photo also gives a blank page.

Try deleting the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder. Now try editing them again.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.≤br>
Note: There now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

Messages Doesn't Communicate with AIM Server - Can't add/delete buddies, change privacy settings

This has frustrated me and I think I've diagnosed the problem but I need help!
The problem occurs in Messages for Mountain Lion. I've set up my AIM buddy list and everything seems like it's working. But, when I try to add a buddy, it doesn't matter whether they are online or not, they appear to be offline. Then, when I quit Messages and launch it again, that entry has disappeared from the buddy list altogether. The same thing occurs when I try to delete a buddy or anything else that involves a change at the AIM server.
The problem is the Contacts app. I know that. If I trash my address book, everything works perfectly! If I add cards back one by one, the card that breaks Messages is always a different one. There isn't one "culprit." I also know that it's probably because I have had these contacts for years and I have migrated them from platform to platform. It's not a local problem though: if I trash my address book and then sync with iCloud to get my contacts back, it happens again.
There's something about the way Contacts and Messages handle AIM that doesn't allow changes to propagate to/from the AIM server and I can't discern any pattern that would lead to a solution.
Does anyone have any insight here? Is this just a bug in Messages?

Note: These instructions are for OS X 10.8 or later. In OS X 10.7, the procedure is the same, but the application is named "Address Book" instead of "Contacts."
Step 1
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.AddressBookSourceSync
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash.
Log out, log back in, and test. If there's no change, go to the next step.

Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
Step 2
A. If you use iCloud, uncheck the box marked Contacts in the iCloud preference pane. Press return to confirm, or click Keep on Mac in the dialog that opens.
B. From the list of groups on the left side of the Contacts window, select All On My Mac. If that group doesn't exist or is empty, skip this step. Otherwise, from the menu bar, select
File ▹ Export ▹ Export vCard
Save the exported contacts to the Desktop.
C. Quit Contacts. Triple-click the text on the line below on this page to select it, then copy it to the Clipboard (command-C):
~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V), and press return.
A Finder window will open with a folder selected. Move the selected folder to the Desktop, leaving the window open for now.
D. Launch Contacts. Your contacts will be gone. If you took Step 2, then double-click the file you created in that step and confirm that you want to import from it. Your contacts will reappear.
E. Re-enable Contacts in the iCloud preference pane, if you disabled it. Test. If the issue is resolved, delete the AddressBook folder and the vCard file on the Desktop and close the open folder window.
Otherwise, quit Contacts again and put the AddressBook folder back where it was, overwriting the newer one that will have been created in its place. Post your results.

How can I add Deleted and blocked id again.

yes, you can unblock them through the tools >> options >> privacy section. then you can resend a new contact request to them. If they have'nt deleted you from their contact list, your new contact request will be automatically approved.

Why Can't I Delete or Edit a Calendar Appointment on My iPhone?

Why are my only choices "Accept" "Maybe" "Decline" for all calendar appointments pushed in from my Outlook calendar? I only have the choice to "Edit" calendar appointments when I create the calendar appointment on my iPhone itself. For all pushed in calendar appoinments, I can only "Decline" the appointment and then recreate it on my iPhone to be able to change it. This is annoying because I don't want to have to go through my calendar and "Accept" or "Decline" all my appointments, especially since this emails me that I have accepted or declined!

I can't add/delete songs from my phone on iTunes

I have a Macbook Air and an iPhone 5s. When I plug my iPhone into my computer, there is no "add to" option to add songs to my phone. Also, when I click the songs on my phone, it gives me many options like "Get info" but no "delete" option. It is incredibly frustrating because I would just like to add some songs from my computer to my phone. I should also note that the drag & drop option is not working either. I used to buy songs on another account and I have songs on my phone from other libraries that I don't want to lose, so I don't want to delete them all & sync the whole library that is on my Mac. If anyone knows what the problem is, I would really appreciate your help. Thank you!

iPhone will sync or manually manage with one computer at a time. Syncing or manually managing music with another will erase the current content from the iPhone.
Put all of your music on one computer and sync to that computer.

After updating to 3.6.15, I can no longer delete or edit bookmarks in Diigo (no settings were changed).

I started using Diigo a short time ago, and had no problems with it. I had Firefox set to automatically update, which it did, to version 3.6.15. It sort of froze while checking my add-ons for compatibility (there is nothing too exotic in there), so I had to cancel the check. It proceeded to open and work normally. I did not change any settings.
Since the update, I have been unable to update any of my Diigo bookmarks, which use Javascript (the sort of javascript: void that often opens things in a new window). Javascript is enabled in Firefox. I have tried enabling all forms of Javascript and restarting Firefox, but nothing is working. I am not sure if reverting to the old version of Firefox would fix this problem, because I don't know what's causing it.
Diigo is working perfectly in Safari, so it is my browser, not the site.
I am using a Mac with OS 10.4.11.

Was the music copied to your phone by syncing with your computer? If so do another sync and deselect all music. Then when you click on apply or sync all music previously synced will be removed.

Yes, but only by giving you her password which would give you access to the entire account.
Her best bet would be to create a new, separate, iCloud account and place all her contacts on that. Both of you could sign into in in the Control Panel (or System Preferences/Settings on a Mac or iOS) > Mail, Contacts and Calendars so the data would appear alongside the main account. You could have your own separate iCloud account but only access to her contacts and not the rest of her data (and vice versa).
