Can't add events in iCal on my ipad2 ...

Hi all ... don't have the plus symbol to add events in iCal. Tried quitting and reloading and a "hard reset". Any ideas? Thanks, in advance!

Go to Settings>iCloud>Calendar>On. Toggle it on and off. Leave it on if you want to sync with iCloud but then don't sync with your computer or you may get duplicate entries.

Can't add event on iCal via iCloud anymore

Since i update my mac in 10.7.5, it's impossible for me to add an event into iCal it said "Le serveur a répondu « 500 » à l’opération CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation."(yes, it's in french). When i try it on iCloud directly by using safari, it said that the server encounter an error.
So, my event aren't synch anymore on my mac and phone, but my contact still are...
anyone with a clue?

You may have un-selected the default calendar in iCal. Click on "Calendars" in the upper left, and see if any of your calendars are un-selected. (Also, go into iCal preferences and under the General tab see what is your Default Calendar. That's where new events are created.)

Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.)
Open Office (Office 2007-like suite compatible with OS X.)
NeoOffice (similar to Open Office.)
LibreOffice (a new direction for the Open Office suite.)

The SMS links thing is highly annoying. You don't have to copy/paste however. You should see an icon like this: (>) to the right of the text bubble with the link. Tap on that, the in the screen that opens, tap "Visit".
Alternatively, you can tap twice directly on the link, then hold your finger down after the second tap.
Still unnecessarily difficult, but not as bad as copy/paste.
What I don't get is why can't I find any mention of this change or how to fix it (if even possible) elsewhere online?

I updated today to the 5.0.1 and now when I try to sync to ITunes, it doesn't recognize my phone and an error message comes up saying that "This iPhone cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started.' What does this mean? Never mind - I found an article in the Support about this very thing! Thanks!

Check which calendar you are trying it put this event on, then put it on the correct one.

Ical can't add events to Exchange only if I change the time zone

Hi, I recently update my MacBook from Snow Leopard to Lion (10.7.3) and I was using iCal with Exchange in my organization without any problem, but now I cannot add events, I get a message saying that iCal can't add the evento to Exchange, and it gives me 3 options Cancel, Restore or Redo.
I search in the forums for this message but none has come to a posible solutions, but I found a discution that someone enable the time zone support and specifies a diferent time zone in the event and "voila" it fixes the problem, the events now are added to Exchange; but obviously this turnaround is not good because the meetings you have to mention the difference in the time to get a meeting done.
Anyone knows how to report this situation to Apple Support?

Sorry I do not write to give solutions, only to mention I have the same problem. Additionally, I can share that for the same Exchange account server I can register new events from my iPhone and my iPad. In both instances, events are uploaded to the server and appear in my MacBook's iCal.

You should see a icon on the bottom right of the Calendar window. Is that missing in your display? Apple - iPad 2 - See your day, week, month, or year in a glance.

thisone - Thanks for your response, but unlike most events, this one does not have an edit button before the Event Details screen. In the top right hand corner next to the words 'Event Details' there is just an empty space.
This event is extremely pesky and I have repeatedly synced my phone in attempt to remove it. It was an invitation I accepted for a recurring weekly event, which was sent to an email address for my old job. That email address is no longer active and no longer existing on my phone, but this event continues to show up on my calendar every single Tuesday.
Help?

Just checked that turning off and then on Calendar iColud Sync doesn't seem to work either.
I tried this as an old solution for some troubleshooting with Calendar but with no result.
Keeping trying to find a solution.

I have an I Phone 4s and have never been able to add events to the calendar. The phone has NO plus sign. Syncing with I Cloud does not help. The only thing I can do on my calendar is see the dates. Can you help?

When I go to I Cloud and try to turn on Calendars, it automatically turns back off. No matter how many times I turn it on, it still turns back off.
