Can't add fields to InfoCube

Hi All,
I am in InfoCube -> Change and select 'All InfoObjects' as template. When I do a search I cannot find most of my infoobjects to transfer into my infocube. So I then made the template an infoobject catalog where I know some exists, still the infoobjects do not show up??
With this problem I cannot add all my infoobjects to my infocube. Please help!
Also, does SAP dictate what units are in an INfocube. I can't seem to figure out how to manually add a unit characteristic.
It's very strange that selecting 'All Infoobjects' (this is actually the default), not all infoobjects show up...and yes, they are active.

Hi,
I think that ur created infoobjects using RSD1, when u this for creation the infoobjects will be in assigned node. This may be a problem for not displaying those infobojects in template.
Assign those infobjects to the infoobject catalog.

if you click in the dynamic selection button, you will be able to specify the profit center you wish.
The profit center is found directly in the 'Document' part.

Hello Naor-
You can edit some of the built-in attributes but you can also add your own/custom attributes. Go to > System Administration > Configuration > Dictionaries > Protocol

You need to add new fields to cube in Development system and then transport it to production after testing.
Edit cube in RSA1. Add the new infoobjects from right hand directory to left hand pane and assign these new infoobjects to suitable dimensions. Save and activate the infocube. Now go to change update rules for this infocube and do proper mapping of these infoobjects.
Save & activate the update rules.
RSA1-> Transport connection-> select cube, update rules and related objects and create transport request.
After testing is done, give the transport request number to your Basis person and he will do the transports for you.

This is SAP Query report, look at infoset /SAPQUERY/ME80FN and you may copy this infoset to your own name space and then change it include your fields.

Can you add fields that are manually maintained.

I'd like to be able to add fields to my MAP Toolkit's inventory. For example, adding Asset and Warranty fields, to keep track of this information. I'd be maintaining the data manually, which is fine since it doesn't change very often. Is there a way to extend
the toolkit to include these types of fields?
So far the only solution I've been able to think of is to generate reports, convert the .XLS to .CSV, and then use PowerShell to merge the .CSV with a file containing the static information. This would be quite an undertaking as I'd need either different
scripts, of different logic paths, to deal with the multiple reports available from the toolkit.

The reports are generated using queries that are in stored procedures. I suppose it would be possible to modify the query so that extra columns would be created, but I don't know how you would get the data into MAP.

Views in MM03, how can I add fields and changes fields labels

I need to change some labels that appear on Sales: Sales Org 2 (view on MM03, MM02..MM01)...
Im not sure what I can do this.. Im an ABAP Programmer(beginner) and I know how I can change labels of fields in programs(reports) that I did...but in This case. I don't know what I can do...
example: when I enter on MM03..I select differents views(including Sales: Sales Org 2), later I specify sales Org and distribution Channel (I need to specify this information for see these fields on this TAB Sales: Sales Org 2).
When I access in tab: Sales: Sales Org 2, I can see one Group that it's called
Material Groups that contain two fields called MVKE.MVGR1 AND MVKE.MVGR5... I saw in the screen these fields with the description from each field..example: Material Group 1 (MVKE.MVGR1 )... I would like to know :
1.- How Can I change the description Material Group 1 (in this screen) by other description (example: material test)...
2.- How can I add more fields in this group...example..If I need to add MVKE.MVGR2 ..??

After you made label changes on custom screen then you need to go configuration (Define Structure of Data Screens for Each Screen Sequence) to replace the standard SAP screen with custom screen. You can also do testing for custom subscreen as well. Give it try.
And how about If I move this screen??...is it dangerous??...or how can I know if this screen affect other section of programs?

But these fields are not available in the List.

you want to drop all the added fields or some ?
go to the extract structure screen,
rsa2->type in your datasource name, double click the
extraction structure, to delete some fields, click append structure, in next screen mark the fields and sign '-'.

"Home Page" Missing in New Card in Address Book 3.1.2 - and can't add field

i have been using Address Book for several years and 292 cards created. many of them have "home page" URL's that are accessible in Safari. brilliant. nice work Apple.
however, i have just tried to make a NEW CARD and find that no "home page" field is being offered for population. puzzling.
if i go to Card > Add Field > the dropdown presents all the possible default fields available. those that are currently in the card are greyed out, those that may be added are black and selectable.
Home Page is greyed out and unselectable despite it not being currently available in the new card i have just created and attempted to populate.
what the heck is going on here?? it has obviosly worked correctly in the past, i have at least 90 cards with URLs in them.

Is it possible that you've altered the template so that home page is a default? (I.e., it's already on the card) That would cause it to gray out. I was just having a similar problem in trying to Add Field... and finally, the penny dropped that the field was already there, just not where I was looking.
I apologize if this seems obvious or dumb, but I'm reasonably bright and yet it wasn't obvious enough to keep me from hunting around for five minutes with furrowed brow.

Can't add field in data source 0CRM_OPPT_I

I have earlier added several fields to this data source but this time I have a peculiar issue, This is what I did
1> RSA6--> DISPLAY THE DATA SOURCE double click on the extract structure> go to append structure --> add new field ZZ... and activated the append structure
2> confirm that the new field is available in the extract structure CRMT_BW_OPPT_I .
3> GO TO RSA6 --> change data source 0CRM_OPPT_I, the new field should be available for me to unhide.. Here is my problem the field is not at all available. And therefpore the field is not included in the data source..
What can I do to resolve this..

i think normally you can select the Enhance extract structure option directly from RSA6 transaction . You dont need to go to display and->then select the extract structure-> then append
coming you your append structure .is it active ?

I have to add a field "X" to GL cube. This field is in extractor.
Can anyone advise me on the procedure and care to be taken while adding this field?
I mean do I need to delet data from cube etc?

I have checked that the 'X' for transaction key is not active in directory in R/3.
But when checked in Tcode F.19 in R/3 that the field is getting filled by a program RFWERE00 for 'A' and 'B' (transactions) I get the following hit. It seems it is only based on if the amount is bigger or smaller than 0.
FORM GET_'X' USING IAMOUNT LIKE EXTRACT-DMBTR
                               CHANGING 'Y' LIKE POST_COLLECT-'X'.
           IF IAMOUNT < 0.
              'Y' = 'A'
           ELSE.
              'Y' = 'B'
           ENDIF.

what I would like to know is that whether is it possible to insert same kind of routine in the update rule to the cube? looking at the value coming on the line item. If the value is bigger than 0 you enter "A" as transaction key and if the value is less than 0 you enter "B".
Would that be possible? Then how will the field get filled? Its not filled in extractor.

Field Catalog Output Sales . . . How can I add fields?

I would like to set up for a particular output type for a particular order type that if the customer is a part of a particular account group . . . output would be generated upon saving the sales order. Is there a way to add Account Group so that I can do this?

If you are looking for another field to trigger output determination, you may want to consider having an ABAP developer create a custom requirement for that output type. Requirements can make simple validation checks and if it passes (sysubrc = 0) then the output is proposed, if not, then output is not proposed. Example: You can check that the sold to partner (customer) has account group 0001. If it does, then the output is generated, if not, then it is not generated.
Create Requirement @ Sales and Distribution > Basic Functions > Output Control > Define Requirements
Assign Requirement to output type @ Sales and Distribution > Basic Functions > Output Control > Output Determination > Output Determination Using the Condition Technique > Maintain Output Determination for Sales Documents > Maintain Access Sequences.
