Can't add iPhotos to existing page

Of a sudden, I've been unable to add photos to an existing photo page. Whether I drag from iPhoto or the Media Browser, only a placeholder with the iPhoto filename appears on the existing photo page — the photos don't appear, nor does the page automatically rearrange photos as it did in the past. I haven't exceeded the 99 photo limit. What gives? Any suggestions?

Apparently, the problem was due to a series of corrupted iPhoto files. I deleted the image files from iPhoto, re-imported the images and then everything worked fine.

I can see other languages available for spelling check, but not Greek and I dont see how to add it.
I have added the Greek keyboard on the Mac, so I can write in Greek , but I dont know how to check the spelling in Greek on pages

You can try to add a 3rd party spellchecker

Can you add a watermark to pages and if so how?

    Hi Grant,
See Page 63 of the  Pages'09 User Guide. (Download from the Pages Help Menu)
Using  Master  Objects  (Repeated  Background  Images)
You may want to add watermarks, logos, or other background images that appear in the same spot on every page of your word processing documents. These repeated graphics are called master  objects.

  • Personalization: how to add to an existant page?

    Hi,
i've implemented a new pagePG.xml with a couple of simple items (text and buttons) in OA Framework, now i'm trying to see it in the bottom of an existant page.
I have imported it, copied the code in $JAVA_TOP and....now?
In personalization I'm not able to add a region or something similar to attach my new page inside the other
    ....am I wronging something or....what I miss?
    Tnx for help!

If you were looking to attach your previously created page, then instead of creating a new region based on it from scratch, you can just copy the content below the pagelayout region and put it in your new region.

  • How can i add an already existing iphone to a different itunes account without changing anything on the actual phone...just updating it?

I have an iphone synced to my iTunes account.  But I need to add another used/existing iphone to my account to update it.  I do not want to sync my emails/contacts/apps, etc. from my computer/iTunes to this new iPhone.  This 2nd iPhone already has existing apps and is in use.
Is there any way that I can do this without changing anything on the existing iPhone?  All I need to do is update it to the iOS 5.0.1.
    Thanks!

Thanks so much for the response!  You have been helpful and quick!
It wasn't my phone, hence the reason we didn't want to share/take each other's content (apps, contacts, music, photos, etc.).  But the owner's phone hadn't been able to update because of a computer crash/no access to a stable computer.  So, I just wasn't sure if we could do an update without sharing content.
But you most definitely answered my question!  So, thank you!

  • Can I add a custom .html page as a separate page within my site?

I'm creating a website for my local baseball association using iWeb 1.1.2.
I'm given several .xls files for schedules, rosters, etc. and I can save them as an .htm/hmtl page.
But within iWeb, it doesn't look like I can import them as a separate page within my site.
Is this possible? I suppose my only option is to create an external link to the pages correct?
Will iWeb '11 allow me to do this?
    Thanks!

Yes, you can in one of two ways:
1 - put the custom page on your server and embed it into one of your iWeb pages using an HTML snippet and iFrame code as done in this demo page: Embed a Site Within an iWeb Page.
2 - put the custom page on your server and in iWeb create a totally blank page, name it for the custom page and add the following redirect code in an HTML snippet:
    <script type="text/javascript">
parent.window.location = "URL TO THE CUSTOM PAGE"; </script>
Thanks to Cyclosaurus for this code
When the visitor clicks on the page in your iWeb navbar they will immediately be redirected to the custom page.  You'll need to add a link on the custom page to send them back to your iWeb site.
If you modify/update the custom page it will be automatically updated in your iWeb site without having to open iWeb.
UPDATE:  3 - or add an HTML snippet to on of your pages and put the HTML code from the custom page into it.  That will display the custom page on your iWeb page.

  • How can I add metadata to iWeb pages hosted on .mac?

How can I add title/description/keyword metadata to my website?
    Is there an easy solution?
I publish my site to my .mac account.
Any direction would be appreciated. I work in the web marketing industry, so it bugs me not being able to add metadata to my site.
    Thanks!
    Macbook   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

So I find the folder: Welcome_files for example
Then do I open up the Welcome.js file using text
    editor?
When I add the metadata, then do I Save As and put
the file back into the Welcome_files folder?
Actually every page like Welcome has a Welcome.html file and then a folder "Welcome_files". The file you want to edit is the Welcome.html file. Not anything in the folder.
Do I need to Publish again, or is that process
automatic since the site is pulling from down from my
    iDisk?
Nope don't publish again. That would just overwrite you changes again. Just save the file in the same place and you're done.
Will I have to re-enter metadata every time that the
page changes, or every time the site changes?
Anytime iWeb thinks the page needs to be republished, your edited file will be overwritten.

  • Can't add make an in-page anchor in the wiki?

I am trying to use in-page anchors on the wiki. I can create the link to the target (by creating a link to "#foo") via the toolbar -- great.
Unfortunately I can't add 'id="foo"' to an element. I can edit the html directly using the toolbar, but after I save the page, if I load the page and look at the source, the element has lost its id.
Is there a trick or is this a known bug?

I think it is telling you to contact itunes support, which is exactly what you should do

  • How can I add an extra in pages when creating a newsletter?

    Hi,
I'm working on a newsletter in Pages via the newsletter template (I'm working in 5.2) it won't however let me add an extra page, I just have the two that are in the original template.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    Hi Chl0w,
In layout mode (again, Pages 5.x) you can use Insert (Page) from the menu bar or toolbar.
Pages Help for Mac, Add, delete, and rearrange pages
    Add a page
In a page layout document: Click Insert   in the toolbar, then choose Page.
The new page appears at the end of the document.
In a word-processing document: Add a page break. You can also add a section that begins on a new page.
    Take care,
    Nubz

  • Can't add rows to existing spreadsheet Numbers OS X Yosemite

I created a numbers spreadsheet with column filters and also popup menus for some columns I am trying to add additional rows to the spreadsheet I followed instructions from numbers:
Add or delete a row or column at the edge of the table: Click at the bottom or at the top of the table. (Drag the control to add or delete more than one row or column.) You can delete a row or column only if all of its cells are empty.
Insert or delete a row or column within the table: Click the table, move the pointer over a numbered or a lettered bar, click the arrow, then choose a command from the menu that appears.
but the options to add rows are shaded gray so you can't add rows but can add columns. the II for add columns is active but there is a double circle where the = should be at the top of the table.
I am a 20 year windows and excel user but am new to Apple and numbers

Just guessing, but have you turned off the filters before trying to add rows? You can uncheck the box shown here:
After clicking the table, you can find this in the Filter panel at the right after choosing Sort & Filter from the toolbar.

  • Can I add a new chapter page between existing pages?

I would like to divide the last chapter I've written into two chapters.  I didn't think of this at the time, now it seems logical.   I have added a new chapter page with photo template, it appears at the bottom of the "book navigation" pane, but I can't drag and drop it between the pages it needs to separate.  Do I need to erase 8 pages and begin again?  I hope not!

If you're used to fluid, non-linear editing, iBA can be quite the headache until you get in sync with how it expects us to work .
You may find it beneficial to experiment with throw-away books first, so that you find out what will/won't work for your content - that way you may reduce time wasted learning the hard way later. I find it's better to spend time rough drafting my content on paper, or in Pages, before laying it out via iBA. Once you get into the habit of linear editing, you'll have an easier time of it - I hope.
    Good luck in any case.

  • How can I add to an existing path using the pencil tool?

This probably seems like a rather elementary question, but
whenever I draw a path using the pencil tool, reselect it,
hover over the endpoint, and the click and drag to extend
the line off into a different direction, Illustrator will often
(but not always) erase the existing path and leave only the
    new one that I drew.
    To wit:
In step 1 above, I draw a line with the Pencil tool.
In step 2 above, I reselect the line from step 1, hover over the endpoint, and then continue to draw further.
However, as can be seen in step 3, the line from step 1 disappears after I draw the new path.
I am aware of the pencil setting, "Edit selected paths", and I have checked it to edit selected paths
within 12 pixels for the above example. What I am doing in the above example, and what I
want to do, is to be able to add more paths onto an existing one using the pencil tool,
rather than have a completely new path being drawn every time I lift up my pen to finish
    drawing the previous path.
I also realize that I can do this with the pen tool; but the pen tool is a more
precise tool (and somewhat more cumbersome), and I prefer to have more
of the rough-handed look from time to time.
Finally, I also know that I can use the direct selection tool to select endpoints
    from two different paths and then join them using the join command;
but this seems to be more trouble than it's worth in many cases, especially
if I want to do it frequently for a more long and complicated line.
Am I expecting too much out of Illustrator?
Is my idea of how to use the existing tools wrong in this case?
Is there some piece of knowledge I'm missing?
    I'm on Illustrator CS5, Mac OS X 10.6.8, using a Wacom Intuos4 tablet.
However, I have confirmed the above on Illustrator CS4 for Mac as well.
Any help or comments would be much appreciated.

Thanks @rcraighead - the Live Paint process seems a bit overkill for simply adding
a new path onto an existing pencil path, but I did try the first idea you suggested,
which was tracing a bit over the last part of the existing path and then continuing
on to extend the path. It's a bit imprecise because the existing path gets slightly
modified, but it seems to work pretty well all in all. Nice idea indeed - thanks a million.
I also found that in AI CS5, I can use the selection tool to select all of the paths
in this case and then join them using the join command. I thought I needed to
select individual anchor points for this to work, but it actually works really
well, better than I thought. I seem to recall that previous versions of Illustrator
were a lot more picky with the Join command, but then again this might just
have been my lack of understanding.
I'm curious to know what other solutions to the above problem that other users
might have, so I will leave this question unanswered for a bit...
but I will use your initial technique described - it seems to work
pretty well, in absence of other options Many thanks again for your timely help.

  • I have iWork's 9 that inludes pages 4.3.  I created a document that I saved.  When I tried to open the document today, I was advised I needed a newer version of pages to open the document.  Why can't I open an existing pages document?

I have iWorks 9 that includes Pages 4.3.  I created a document and saved it as a "pages" file.  When I tried to open the document the next day, a dialogue box told me I needed a newer version to open the file.  The information provided stated the new app would cost $19.99 and the customer ratings are quite low.  Why can't I open a previously created document in iWorks, regardless of the version.  This is the first time Apple has demanded that I pay for a new version to open existing documents.

I am with Peter on this issue. Additionally, if you installed the latest IOS Pages (v2.01) on an iPhone or iPad and opened a .pages file on iCloud that was created by Pages ’09 v4.n, or IOS Pages v1.7.n — that document is now in the new .pages file format and only Pages v5 on OS X can open it.

  • Can't add spry widget to page created from dreamweaver template

Please help! I have created a template in Dreamweaver and
from that template I have created an html page. I want to add
different tabbed and/or accordion spry widgets to multiple pages
however I keep getting an error when I try to add a widget to an
editable region. I can add the widgets to the dwt file, but I do
not want the same widget on all pages created from that template.
    Please advise!
    Thanks

If that's all that's on the child page you are in trouble.
Anyhow, it appears to me that the template has not been
    properly created
since I do not also see an editable region around the
    <title> tag in your
code. Please read my previous post and follow the
    instructions.

  • Can we add properties to existing Entities in JPA

I have a Java web application with Hibernate support. Applications works fine except when I want to add a new property to an existing entity. After a new property is added, there is an internal error. If I delete the database and run the application again, the error disappears completely. Is it possible to add new properties to existing entities? and if so, how?

I have another question related to following class may be that can put more light on my base requirement. I am creating Result item object based on details I found on various KM articles for KM reports. I wonder what is that List executedCommands, object.
    public static ResultItem getInstance(RID rid,
                                         Map properties,
                                         List executedCommands,
                                         boolean hadError,
                                         String statusDescription)
Can any one tell me about this List executedCommands and what exactly I should pass there and how it is going to affect my output?
