Can't add my Palm in iSync

I'm running iSync 3.0.2 and Hot Sync Manager 3.2.1 and I'm not able to either add my Palm in iSync or select the iSync conduct in HotSync Manager. Can someone could help me? Thanks in advance.

Hi,
if you are not using English as your default language, you may check the thread "iSync Conduit not visible in HotSync Conduit Manager" (last posts) - the mentioned workaround may help you, eventually...

  • Can't add my e815 to iSync

I just got a new Moto e815 (specifically b/c it is supposed to be supported by iSync). When I add a new device, iSync sees the e815, but says it is not supported.
    Any ideas?

The Motorola E815 mobile handset was not initially supported by iSync 2, which if you are running Mac OS X 10.4.2, you are probably using. The answer: upgrade to at least Mac OS X 10.4.3 and iSync 2.1 to get support for your handset. [Current releases are Mac OS X 10.4.5 and iSync 2.1.1] Applying the Mac OS X 10.4.3 Combo updater will achieve both objectives, or you can update iSync 2 to 2.1 alone, as 2.1 requires only Mac OS X 10.4 to install.
Although these additional issues are not related to iSync, you should be aware of them if your handset is supplied by Verizon: You will not be able to transfer files to and from it as the OBEX profile is not supported, nor will you be able to use it to connect your computer to the internet, as it is a V CAST device and that technology is not compatible with the DUN profile.

  • Can not add the Palm Emulator to Sun ONE Studio 5 ME

I am trying to add the Palm Emulator (version 3.5) to the list of emulation devices within the Sun ONE Studio 5 ME.
First, it seems like Studio 5 requires that the emulator resides in a bin subdirectory. Second and here where the problem is. Once the emulator is identified by Studio 5 (as a "Standard UEI Emulator" and after I click on "Next", Studio 5 tries to get information about the configuration of the emulator and its profiles.
I, immediately get an error (generated by the Palm OS Emulator) stating: "Don't understand the command line parameter "-version"." within a message box. Once I click OK, the Studio 5 says that the operation failed.
This is as far as I could go.
I would like to mention that I am running Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 1. I am also working with a ROM image that I downloaded from my PalmVx PDA.

    Hello Hassan,
I've done the following: I've used Palm emulator that's included with WTK 1.0.4_01 provided with Sun ONE Studio 5, ME. If you try to execute application using this 'device' you'll be asked to point to directory with Palm Emulator 3.5 (the one you have), emulator.exe. Then it takes over and asks for skins, ROMs and other stuff.
    Hope this helps,
    Peter

  • Can't add SonyEricsson W800i to isync devices?

When I try and add my W800i to isync devices via bluetooth it finds the device but says "This device is not supported by iSync"
The W800i is listed as a compatible device with iSync.
Any ideas on how to solve this problem?
    PowerBook G4 12"   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

Try to pair it first. If you've done that already, delete the device from isyc and/bluetooth system preferences and pair again.
Had the same problem and that solved it. Now sync is perfect.
    good luck,

  • Can not add nokia 6670 to isync after 10.4.7

with 10.4.6 it worked. Pairing no problem and also Adressbook was accessible. In 10.4.7 I can pair the phone with the mac, but only isync and internet acces are mentioned in the bluetoothe connection assistent.
when I open isync and trying to add a new device, it finds the phone with a "yellow button", but says it cannot add it because it canot esatblish a connection.
Does anyone have this problem, too?
    thanks,
    wolf

    It did not work.
Deleted all the pairing. Paired again. (Adressbook
support was not mentioned again, only isync)
Restarted macbook and nokia. Tried to add it to isync
again. Isync said it can not connect to the Nokia
    (yellow dot)
Not I don't know what else to do. It seemed to work
    under 10.4.6.
    Weird!

I have the same phone, a Mac Pro and an old G4 and am having the same problem and I know why. There are two versions of the Nokia 6670: a Nokia 6670 and a Nokia 6670b... we have the 6670b and it isn't supported by iSync.
On older versions of iSync, you could hack iSync to see the 6670b as a 6670 by adding a few lines of code but it doesn't work on the latest versions of iSync. On my old G4, I kept the last iSync version that worked, out of the Application folder to use and din't use the updated iSync in the Application folder that get's updated on every OS updates and security updates.
Now, zoom forward to last week when I got my Mac Pro... The UB iSync cannot be hacked and the old PowerPC iSync that worked won't work on the Mac Pro. So I need to remote control my old G4 and sync it with my phone, then sync the two computers. A serious PITA!

  • Can't add any devices to iSync

Hi - i've recently stoppped using my Mac Mini and gone back to my 12" Powerbook. I'd like to be able to sync my phone to my Mac, but I can't. I have the latest version of OSX and iSync 2.1, and I know my Sony Ericsson phone is compatible because I've used it with the same software on my Mac Mini.
The phone pairs with my Powerbook, and I can use Bluetooth file exchange, but when I open iSync, and select NEW DEVICE from the menu, nothing happens. no windows appear at all.
    I've tried...
    - rolling back to an earlier iSync version (it wouldn't let me since there was a newer version installed
    - trashing iSyncs preferences (the ones i could find anyways)
    - reinstalling 10.4 and reupgrading
    - reinstalling iSync 2.1
    So any ideas??

Yes, I figured out that iPod syncing moved to iTunes.
However, iSync does NOT recognize my phone (v265) via the USB cable. System profiler sees the phone fine. I guess this is a problem since Tiger for my supposedly supported phone:
    http://www.macfixitforums.com/php/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=Forum23&Number=676983& page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=31&fpart=1
So now I'll have to jump through all these hoops using USB Prober and self-editing of the app just to get it to work the way it did right before the upgrade to Tiger. Good thing I'm technically savvy. Others in my situation might not have it as easy.

  • Can't add device N95 in iSync 3

I downloaded the Nokia plugin. Connected the N95 with USB then started iSync but it cannot find the device. Is there anything blatantly obvious that I have missed?

Hi. When you plug your phone in to your Mac, choose PC Suite on the N95 when it asks. That worked for me. I had the same problem because I was using the Data Transfer option instead of the PC Suite one
    Good luck

  • Can't find palm tungsten isync hotsync conduit in leopard

Attempting to sync my Palm Tungsten E2 with iCal & Address Book by USB but iSync can't set up when I attempt to Enable Palm Syncing. iSync Hotsync Conduit does not install and is not found on searching with Spotlight. Palm Hotsync works fine. Where is my software not configured properly?

Problem solved. I was logged into a User Account that did not have permissions to move the conduits to a new folder 'iSync Disabled Conduits'. Logging into the System Manager Account enabled this process to proceed and reverting back to the sub-account the configuring for Enable Palm Syncing process now completed.

  • Can't add device

I am trying so hard to read and search all forums before posting...
    Regarding this post:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=672048&#672048
I think my conduits are set perfectly.
I can't add a device now. I have scanned, still nothing.
My T|E has not synced since my accidental hard re-set.
I have: re-installed iSync 2 from my original Mac OS X 10.4 Install using Pacifist, then updated it to iSync 2.3 using Mac OS X 10.4.8 Combo updater.
Everything looks good, except I can't add a device.

This is often an indication that your iSync Palm Conduit—simply labeled Apple, in the Finder—is installed in a unique, non-standard folder located here:
    Macintosh HD:Library:Application Support:Palm HotSync
Usually, four folders appear at that level. They are named: Conduits, Disabled Conduits, Notifiers and Transports.
If a fifth folder labeled iSync Disabled Conduits appears, move its contents into the Disabled Conduits folder and discard the now empty iSync Disabled Conduits folder.
Your iSync Palm Conduit should be installed in the folder labeled Conduits. You may instead find that the iSync Palm Conduit is installed in a folder with another label, often a set of Japanese language characters. Move it from any such non-standard folder and into the active Conduits folder, discard the now empty non-standard folder, then launch the HotSync Manager or use the HotSync menu in the Palm Desktop to configure the conduit, and synchronize.

  • How can I make a palm tree sway?

How can I make a palm tree sway?
I have a palm tree that is a tiff file with alpha. I would like the tree trunk to bend a little and a few of the branches to sway as though it’s gently moving in the wind.
What would be the easiest way to make that happen?
Should I save the trunk and a few leaves as separate elements, and then animate them in motion.
Or is there any way to turn my palm tree into a shape in motion, add edit points and key frames to animate it?
    Any advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Down and dirty: highlight the tree's layer, move the anchor point to the base of the tree, add an Oscillate Behaviour to its Shear X axis. Adjust the Amplitude to 5, Speed to 7 or so, depending on how breezy the day is.

  • Fatal Errors and Can't Add Appointments

    1. Any ideas on why my Palm Z22 freezes up after a hotsync?
    2. Any ideas why I can't add appointments to my calendar, and why appointments I see on or schedule on the Palm Desktop can't be seen on the Palm Z22? Nothing is private so that's not an issue
    Post relates to: Palm Z22

For the calendar issue, you may have a corrupt calendar database on the Z22. There is a program called DBfixit that can find any corruption. There is a trial version that will find the corruption and you can repair the record or purchase the program and have it repair it for you.

How can I add an e-mail address to my existing icloud account?  I curently only use one of the three.

Each iCloud account only has a single iCloud account.  If you want, you can add up to 3 alias addresses that will receive email in the same iCloud inbox, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2622.

  • Can't add a family member to family share on icloud?

I Successfully added one child to family share but when I went to add second child it gets hung up on the screen where you type family members email. I type it in or select child's name from my list of contacts and then select NEXT. Nothing Happens. the blue letters of next fade to the light blue then the circle thing spins and the NEXT pops back up in blue and nothing happens. Can someone please help me figure out why I can't add a second child. Yes, they have an icloud account, I turned phone off and back on. Not sure what the problem is.

See if you can go to your Calendars App and select a previous event to see what Calendar the event was added to (iCloud or Yahoo). After that is determined you can go to www.iCloud.com or calendar.yahoo.com and add the event there to see if it will populate on your device. Another troubleshooting step is deleting the iCloud account from your device and also deleting the Yahoo account. Then check to see if you can add an event without it syncing to a email. If you can then it may have just been a bug and you can add both accounts back and try adding the event again. I would also recommend only using one service to sync your Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, etc. Such as either iCloud only or Yahoo only, as using multiple accounts means your data is spread around and can be hard to isolate when something goes wrong.
