Can't add one particular email account to my curve

Hi there,
Until last week, I was able to access emails from my own domain without any problems but I had to perform a device wipe and now i am unable to add this account - the email setup produces the error "unable to your password or email address"
even addding the mail server address (both name or IP address)
I can add my google, msn and yahoo addresses no problem.
I can access the problem email via Thunderbird and also webmail.
I'm not sureif this has any bearing on things but the server is a UKHost4u server (bluelynx5.ukhost4u.com) and i am wondering if RIM would have any block on this server.
I have tried with 2 different SIM cards (tesco mobile and T-Mobile)
Anyone have any ideas or who would I be able to contact

If you are not able to validate here then you may have to contact your wireless service provider and have them escalate your issue to Research In Motion.

For unknown reason, I can't add any new email account, I get stuck with when I have entrered my email address and password. In fact, the system says " checking" but nothing is happening. Do you have any idea?

I finally found the reason, it was linked with my email suffix which was a shorten version. When I put the long one, my email address has been recognized. The strange things is the fact, I have set up earlier the same account in pop instead of imap without any issue. I need to fight with the server name too as my standard incoming server was not recogized on imap (no reason as it works with other system). However, I found my way and it works.

Emails to one particular email account will not delete

I have a couple of email accounts on my laptop. Emails to one particular email account will not delete. They do go straight into Junk but whatever I do they will not allow me to completely delete them.

While these apps aren't free, if your phone is an android, you could also look into using SmoothSync for Cloud Contacts and SmoothSync for Cloud Calendars to sync your iCloud contacts and calendars.

How can I add an MSN email account to my phone. They show as listed when I click on the email icon but I can not send or receive from there.

Hello riopeltravel, let's solve this mystery! What make & model phone do you have? Also, have you tried deleting the email account off of the phone and re-adding with the username and password? How long have the email accounts stopped working? Keep us posted!

Does icloud only work with my .me account or can I add my other email accounts?

I have been trying for a couple of days now, looking thru settings and logging in ti the cloud from multiple computers but I cant find a way to add my other e-mail accounts to my icloud. Is it realey exclusive to the apple mail account?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
iCloud will only sync your iCloud mail. It does this because it is an IMAP email account not a POP email account.
If you want other email addresses to do the same thing, contact the provider to see if they can change your email account to an IMAP account. (This is what I did)

Can't add a Mac email account ever since 2.0 upgrade

Can anyone walk me through on how to add my Mac email address to my playbook to retrieve messages. I was able to before the 2.0 upgrade but ever since, it keeps saying not able to find connection information. Asking to do advance set up. I can't add a second email account. I get a message next to the password field 'Username or password invalid'. I can login to gmail web ok, imap is enabled.

I have setup TB using a gmail account and is working fine. When I try to add another gmail account I get an error 'Username or password invalid'. I can login to this second gmail account through the web at gmail and the account has imap enabled.
ps - i've been using these accounts for years through the web

I also tried deleting TB altogether and reinstalled trying the problem gmail account and it still didn't work.
While checking on the 2-factor authentication, which I don't use, i noticed something. The working gmail account allowed 'access for less secure apps' and my problem account didn't. I enabled that and was able to add it to TB. All works now!
Not sure if the less secure apps is a good thing, but its working.

Can´t set up private email account on BlackBerry Curve 8520

I have BBerry Curve 8520 and when tried to set up the email accounts (I don't have enterprise account), the only option I have is the Enterprise.
I have followed the steps on

Hello!
To use the proprietary BB services (including Push email capability, BBM, etc.), you must have an adequate data plan from your carrier. The carriers host BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) for their BB users. Typically, BIS is not available via generic data plans. Many carriers call what is necessary The Blackberry Data Plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier who delivers BIS to their BB users -- contact them for assistance. Once you have a Push-email enabled BIS-capable data plan on your BB (at whatever fees your carrier will charge, btw), your BB-proprietary services will function (e.g., you will have Personal/Internet Email added to the email setup wizard, your BBM will function, etc).

With hundreds of carriers in the world, each with dozens of different data plans, it's impossible to tell you specifically what any service plan might actually provide. Only the carriers can answer that question. The best thing to do is to decide what services you desire, and then talk to your carrier about obtaining (from them) a data plan that enables what you desire.

How can I add working btinternet email accounts?

Hi there
I have looked at threads that seem to be associated with the above however they all seem pretty historic and I wondered if Apple had come up with a solution or if there was a workaround that one of you guru's out there might know.
First off, I am not particularly computer articulate so if you ask me additional questions that require tech info, please be gentle with me!
I have a MacbookAir 13" which I am only just (after two years) beginning to properly utilise. Having set up an iCloud email, and added my Gmail account without any problems, I added my primary account which is a btinternet address and all seemed well.
Very quickly though the bt address stopped working properly and kept asking for my password. I have taken it offline, put it online, deleted it and added it again all with the same results.
Is there any way to have all my addresses in one place other than opening up iCloud, gmail and bt via Safari? I am on Mavericks (if that makes any difference).
All help, gratefully appreciated.

Change the name of the computer in the Sharing pane of System Preferences to one that has no spaces, apostrophes, parentheses, or special characters.
If you have a BT Home Hub wireless router or something similar, you may also need to change the computer name in the router's settings as described by vincentfromcork on page 2 of this thread.
