Can't add things to timeline

I downloaded Premiere Pro CC trial to see what's what etc.
I have a project with single frames for a stop motion I'm making already on the timeline in a sequence already created.
But I now have a problem of not being able to add anything to the timeline anymore! Whenever I drag anything onto the timeline, I get the hand with the circle and line through it. Insert button also doesn't work.
Not sure what the problem is, please help.
Here is a screenshot of my timeline if it helps.

Click on the V1 in the first column.
You can have no tracks selected, or one track selected, but you can't have a track with V1 that isn't selected.

Regarding the orange Firefox menu button--can you add things to it? I want to add the zoom option to that menu. I an add the + and - zoom buttons to the toolbar, but I want the zoom option in the orange Firefox button menu itself instead. Is that possible?

Adding menu items isn't easy, plus the internal commands for the new menu item would need to be coded. You would either have to locate an extension which adds those menu items or learn how to create an extension that has that feature.

I have an external hard driver that I used to use with my old pc, but now I have a mac and I can see all of the files on it and open them, but I can't add things to it. How do I fix this?

I use my external hard drive to store all of my music, but now I can't save anything on it with my new Mac. Is there a way that I can reformat it or something without losing everything I already have on there?

I suggest to copy all your files in your external drive to your Macbook and reformat that external drive to Mac OS Extended Journaled or exFat.
Once you've done that - then copy all the files back to your external drive.
Do not format your external drive if you haven't copied whats in your external drive. You'll lose everything.

Can't add JPEGs to timeline

Our charity just purchased the Adobe Premier Elements program. I am familiar with Photoshop, but Premier is new to me. So far, I cannot get hardly ANYTHING to work right.
I imported photos from an event to try and just make a sample movie so I can get my feet wet within the program but I keep getting the message: GENERIC FAILURE - This type of file is not supported, or the required codex is not installed. This is becoming QUITE FRUSTRATING.
I have viewed a few of the threads regarding this issue and have checked the photos that I am attempting to use. They are all RGB, 8-bit images in JPEG format. If I cannot make even a simple slideshow, how is this suposedly "superior" progam going to do videos? If anyone can help, please do! I do not want our Non-Profit having to go and buy another program all becasue a Adobe can't get their act otgether. I thought the Elements programs were supposed to be the "simplified" versions of the professional versions of the programs and thus easier for laymen to use. but when you have experience in Adobe and you are pulling your hair out trying to get the dang this to work, well guess what Adobe...you didn't do your job!
Someone...Anyone...PLEASE HELP!

click on a audio channel ... look up and down the strip .... you will see the word "Inserts" .. click on that and play with the menus... you will find heaven and paradise of Plug Ins

Reset your phone, hold the home and off button down until the apple symbol comes up. If that doesnt fix it then you need to restore your phone in itunes, Connect to itunes, right click on your phones name to the left, then click restore from backup. That providing you have backed up your phone recently.

Can't add tasks to Sharepoint 2013 Timeline

We have a Sharepoint 2013 site with Project functionality enabled, although all data has been manually entered. There is a list of tasks and sub-tasks, but we can't add them to the timeline. The option is there, but clicking it for any task does nothing.
The tasks have start and end dates.

If you are going to use your iTunes account as you and your partners iCloud account then you need to go into each phone and change your settings. In messages, you need to change from iCloud to the phone number. Create a contact with your unformation and re-train Siri with your name. Let me know if this helps.

Can you add transitions to entire timeline at once, rather than single actions only?

can you add transitions to entire timeline at once, or only a single transition between two individual clips, which then must be repeated throughout the entire timeline? It would save time to do entire timeline with one transition action.

As I show you in my book, you select several clips on your timeline at once and right-click, you will find the option to Add Default Transition to all.
You can set your Default Transition by right-clicking a transition in the Transitions panel.

Which problems do you have on that website?
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

So what format and encoding are the ripped songs?
Do FIle>Get Info>Summary to find out.

Yeah...iTunes 7.x did away with that capability...

How many motions tweens can you have on a timeline?

I'm a college student in Seattle. We just had our mid-terms in Flash CS5. One of the really simple questions was "How many motion tweens can you have on a timeline." Yup. The answer is one...... or is it? I had a long discussion with my tutor (who is the greatest tutor in the world) and he wanted to think about it. I said to him that I thought that one motion tween was wrong because you can click on an object in the timeline, make it a motion tween, and double click it and make several motion tweens. So, essentially, you can have more than one motion tween on a timeline. Is anyone able to advise me because this is all about grades!

You can have quite a few motion tweens on a timeline. You can even have them happening simultaneously (I don't know of a specific limit), as long as they are all on their own layers. Though the more you add simultaneously the more they can weigh down the speed of things running.
If you need to prove this to someone, the easiest way is to create it and demonstrate it. But you may want to check the exact wording of the question... it would not be beyond an examiner to throw a trick question in.

Can't add a family member to family share on icloud?

I Successfully added one child to family share but when I went to add second child it gets hung up on the screen where you type family members email. I type it in or select child's name from my list of contacts and then select NEXT. Nothing Happens. the blue letters of next fade to the light blue then the circle thing spins and the NEXT pops back up in blue and nothing happens. Can someone please help me figure out why I can't add a second child. Yes, they have an icloud account, I turned phone off and back on. Not sure what the problem is.

See if you can go to your Calendars App and select a previous event to see what Calendar the event was added to (iCloud or Yahoo). After that is determined you can go to www.iCloud.com or calendar.yahoo.com and add the event there to see if it will populate on your device. Another troubleshooting step is deleting the iCloud account from your device and also deleting the Yahoo account. Then check to see if you can add an event without it syncing to a email. If you can then it may have just been a bug and you can add both accounts back and try adding the event again. I would also recommend only using one service to sync your Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, etc. Such as either iCloud only or Yahoo only, as using multiple accounts means your data is spread around and can be hard to isolate when something goes wrong.

Garageband can't add loops

I am trying to save some software instrument regions I've created as loops that I can add to the Loops librar so I can easy add them to other projects. Everywhere I look for how to do this, I am instructed to select the region, then go to Edit > Add to Loop Library. The problem is that this option is not in m Edit menu at all. I have tried closing and re-opening GB, rebooting the computer, and making sure I have the latest version of GB. But no mater what I've tried, this option does not appear in my Edit menu. What am I doing wrong?
The othe rmethod I've tried is dragging the region over from the main window to the loops menu and dropping it in there. But when I click-hold and drag the region, it simpl slides it around the timeline as if I am trying to move it further behind in the track. It does not allow me to drop it in the Loops menu.
Any help?

In GarageBand 10 it will look like it is not working, it is a bit confusing, but try this:
Cut the region you want to turn into a loop exactly at the bar line.
Show the loop browser pane.
Select the region, grab it with the mouse and drag it over to the loop browser.
It will look, like you were shifting the loop in the track - simply ignore this.
Release the mouse, when it is over the loop browser and the panel to add the loop should open.
Name the loop and set the attributs to index it.
