Can't "add" to port mapping

I am using an airport Extreme base station, and I am trying to enable Port forwarding for use with a Slingbox. However, when I go to the port mapping tab of the Airport Admin Utility the "Add" button (right side of the window) is grayed out. Can anyone help me? Why is it gray and not active?

The extreme is hooked up to a cable modem.
Is it a modem only or is it a modem/router combination? If it is a modem only I don't know why your AEBS has the option to distribute IP addresses DISABLED. In that mode you only have one IP address to use so only one device at a time can connect to the Internet.
...I want to hook up the sling box, and I am not sure what I need to hook that into, the Express or (AEBS).
You can ONLY connect it to the AirPort Express (AX) if you configure the AEBS and AX to connect wirelessly using WDS. This causes the AX's Ethernet port to be active for the sling box. However using WDS cuts your available wireless bandwidth in half.
Therefore I think i need this work around, is that correct?

How can I add additional ethernet ports to a Time Capsule for my audio system to have direct hard wire to the Internet?

Go into any large computer store and ask for a switch.. 8 ports is usually the best value.. 5 is a couple to short and you lose one with the connection.. it is much better to plug all the items into the switch.. and just have one cable running to the TC from switch.. although that is not necessity.. it keeps speeds up for local LAN.

  • Enterprise SecMgr: Can't add Database Schema Mapping to OracleDefaultDomain

    Hello,
I'm trying to configure Enterprise Users (using a shared schema) and within EntSecMgr, I select...
Realms / MyID realm / Enterprise Domains / OracleDefaultDomain / Enterprise Roles / OracleDefaultDomain / Database Schema Mapping
and from there, I try to add the Directory Entry and schema. I don't get any errors when I click "OK", but the Database Schema mapping does not "take".
I notice the little icon next to OracleDefaultDomain (in ESM) has a "lock", so perhaps it's read-only? How can I change that, or where should I be assigning the Database Schema mapping, if not in the OracleDefaultDomain?

I never did figure out why I can't add the Database Schema Mapping to the OracleDefaultDomain, but I used ESM to add the schema mapping directly to the database itself, and now my Enterprise Users can login.

  • How can I add an address map to each contact?

    Hello:
When tapping a contact address in the Address application, the map view pops up and I can add a pin for the specific address. However, when I close the application the map disappears. I also notice that if I click on the lower right corner of the map screen, I see an option labeled "list."
    I've got two questions:
    1. What function does the list provide? (I've tried looking in the user's guide and there is no mention of this feature.)
    2. Can I permanently store the map for each contact on my iPod, or does it need to reload each time using wi-fi?
    Thanks.

its going to have to reload the map each time, it can't save it.

  • Can't get Port Mapping to work

Ever since i got the AEBS(wireless n) I can't figure out how to do port mapping. Say i want to forward 41857, how do i set it up?

    Try the following ...
    AEBSn - Port Mapping Setup
To setup port mapping on an 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn), either connect to the AEBSn's wireless network or temporarily connect directly, using an Ethernet cable, to one of the LAN port of the AEBSn, and then use the AirPort Utility, in Manual Setup, to make these settings:
    1. Reserve a DHCP-provided IP address for the host device.
    Internet > DHCP tab
o On the DHCP tab, click the "+" (Add) button to enter DHCP Reservations.
o Description: <enter the desired description of the host device>
o Reserve address by: MAC Address
    o Click Continue.
o MAC Address: <enter the MAC (what Apple calls Ethernet ID if you are using wired or AirPort ID if wireless) hardware address of the host computer>
    o IPv4 Address: <enter the desired IP address>
    o Click Done.
    2. Setup Port Mapping on the AEBSn.
    Advanced > Port Mapping tab
o Click the "+" (Add) button
o Service: <choose the appropriate service from the Service pop-up menu>
    o Public UDP Port(s): 41857
    o Public TCP Port(s): 41857
o Private IP Address: <enter the IP address of the host server>
    o Private UDP Port(s): 41857
    o Private TCP Port(s): 41857
    o Click "Continue"

  • I have airport extreme and just purchased a D-Link DCS-932L home network camera.  D-Link says I need UpNp but the extreme doesn't support this.  Can I use port mapping?  if so anyone know how to set that up?  thanks

I have airport extreme and just purchased a D-Link DCS-932L home network camera.  D-Link says I need UpNp but the extreme doesn't support this.  Can I use port mapping?  if so anyone know how to set that up?  thanks

Since the D-Link DCS-932L is accessible on the local network via a web browser, you should be able to access this camera from the Internet if your router has a publically accessible Public IP address. If your ISP provides you with a dynamic Public IP address, you may want to use a DDNS service to make it easier for you to locate your camera whenever your ISP changes your IP address.
Start the AirPort Utility > Select the 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn).
    Select Manual Setup.
Verify that Connection Sharing = Share a public IP address is selected on the Internet > Internet Connection tab.
Select Advanced, and then, select the Port Mapping tab.
Click the plus sign to add a new port mapping.
For Service, leave the default; this will change to "Custom" once you start entering port values.
In the Public UDP Port(s) and Public TCP Port(s) boxes, type in a 4-digit port number (e.g., 8888) that you choose. In the Private IP Address box, type the internal IP address of your camera. In the Private UDP Port(s) and Private TCP Port(s) boxes, enter the appropriate port values that should have been provided to you by the camera manufacturer. Click Continue.
In the Description box, type a descriptive name like "Internet Camera Access," and then, click Done.
    Click on Update.
To connect to the shared Camera from a remote location using a Mac or PC:
    Start your favorite web browser.
Enter either your Public IP address or DDNS-provided Domain Name, followed by a colon and the Public port number that you choose in step 7 of the previous procedure. For example: http://123.123.123.123:8888 or http://www.mydtdnsdomainname.com:8888

  • How can I add a header to a text file without mapping? [Using only ID]

    Hi Experts,
I am doing a scenario in which I want to add a dynamic header to a text file, due to the complications related to the structure, I dont want to create a message type, data type etc so I cant use mapping.
I want to do all the manipuations in Integration Directory itself.
Can you all please help me out in this?
    Thanks in advance
    Thomas

    Hi  Experts,
I am new to XI, so only elaborate answers would help me
    This is the specific requirement i want;
There is a 'source text file' which is a collection of 1000+ records, I want to make a 'target file' which is a combination of 2 fields, one field will be the dynamically generated name [for the target file] and the other field will be the whole 'source file' content.
From the last response for my question, I understand the dynamic file generation part can be done using java mapping.
Is there anyway by which I can get in the whole content of the source file into a field in the target file?
    Thanks in Advance
    Thomas

  • How can I add multiple, successive destinations in "Maps" such as on a delivery trip with several stops ?

How can I add multiple, successive destinations in"Maps" such as on a delivery trip with multiple stops and so needing driving directions i.e. set up a route ?

    Maps help:
Mark a location with a pin
You can drop a pin on a location to get directions or help you find it again.
    Open Maps
On your map, go to the location you want to mark with a pin.
Choose View > Drop Pin. If the pin isn’t exactly where you want it, put the pointer on it and hold down the button until the pin “hops.” Drag the pin into place, then release the button.
To see information about a location, click its pin, then click the Info button. To close the Info window, click outside of it.
To remove a pin, select it, then choose View > Clear Pin.
    Get directions
Using Maps, you can get directions to help you navigate on foot or behind the wheel. Once you've decided where you're going, click the Share button to send your map and directions to your iPhone. (Your iPhone must have iOS 7 and be signed into the same iCloud account as your Mac.)
    Open Maps
    Do one of the following:
Click Directions to open the directions sidebar, then enter the starting and ending locations.
On the map, click a pin to display its info banner, click the info button to see more info, then choose “Get Directions.” (If your starting location doesn't have a pin, you can Control-click or tap it with two fingers, then choose Drop Pin.)
Click either the car (driving directions) or person (walking directions).
If multiple routes appear on the map, click the one you want to take.
To zoom in on a turn, click it in the directions sidebar.
To close or reopen the directions sidebar, click Directions in the toolbar.

  • How can I add a redirect port, or RPT port, in Windows 7?

I'm dumbfounded.  I know in Windows XP there was an option to add a printer and select the redirection port.  Seems in Windows 7, or at least my installation, that option is missing.  I need to be able to add a redirect port to setup some
specialized printing we do here in our office.  Hope my question makes sense and I hope I have just missed something and it's really just not that it's not possible or I'm screwed!
Also I have tried the "Add New Port Type" options and it asks for a driver which I can't seems to find anywhere.  Any help is much appreciated as this has halted my Windows 7 roll out.

    Hi,
Do you mean in Windows XP, we can add a new port in File-> Server Properties-> Ports-> Add Ports?
If this is the issue, please see the information below:
    ====================================
In Windows 7, we have no Server Properties options. But we can also achieve the same goal by using the following two methods:
Method 1: Right click one of the local printers and select Printer Properties. Click Ports-> Add Port…
Method 2: In Control Panel, click Administrative Tool and select Print Management. Then open Print Servers and select the local machine. Then right click Ports and
    click Add Ports…
Hope this can have a little help.
    Best regards,
    Spencer Shi

  • Elements 11 vs 13: how can I add a new place tag to my PSE13 database without using the wretched and totally inadequate map technology  that Elements 13 wants to impose.

    HI,
I have recently installed Elements 13 having used Elements 11.0 successfully to build a database of 30,000 plus images indexed by place, people, and photo date. Elements 11 allowed me to add new places which are meaningful to me but which are a complete mystery to the mapping technology of Elements 13. For example some years ago I lived in London in a road called Argyle Road. In elements 11 I could enter the place tag as Argyle Road. In Elements 13 I am required to locate Argyle Road on the map, but the map presupposes that the Argyle Road I am referring to is in Ealing in West London. It is not!
I now live in a place called Broadsands but the Elements 13 Map places this 0.5 miles away from what I would describe as Broadsands.
So the question: how can I add a new place tag to my database without using the wretched and totally inadequate map technology  that Elements 13 wants to impose.

Thank you for your quick response, BalusC. I really appreciate your answer.
Yes, you are right. If I manually code the same amount of those components in the JSF pages instead of generating them dynamically, the server will still run out of memory. That is to say, JSF pages might not accommodate a great deal of concurrent visiting. If I upgrade the server to just allow 1,000 teachers making their own test papers at the same time, but when over 2,000 students take the same questionnaire simultaneously, the server will need another upgrading. So I have to do what you have told me, using JS+DOM instead of upgrading the server endlessly.
    Best Regards, Ailsa

Hello friends, i m getting the messages bellow in error logs, please suggest me what i have to do
" [ID 365563 daemon.error] can't get stderr port: Cannot assign requested add"

    Hi Tom,
Thanks, but at this point, I've rebooted, checked and double-checked more times than I'd care to count...:(
Since I can see the NMEA strings when the GPS module is hooked-up to the USB port, I guess I'll assume there's some reason why the
AMA0 UART has not been released, or that the GPS receives some different signals through the TTY that it's not seeing through the AMA0.
As I mentioned, when I use 'cat /dev/ttyAMA0', it just hangs, like it's getting no data. I'll keep looking...
         Thanks for your help,

created by Modesto Vega in Photoshop Lightroom - View the full discussionYou should be able to change the title, the caption, the sublocation, the city, the state/province, the country, the ISO country code, the altitude, the direction, and a few other fields. However, you cannot add keywords. It would be real nice if Adobe could add this to the Map module. • Can you add one L3-class to two different policy maps ?

    Hi Experts;
Requirement is to have requests from outside as well as inside from different vlan Server to our Production Servers. At present all requests are coming from inside vlan via policy-map multi-match L3_XYZ.  See Example below
    policy-map multi-match L3_XYZ
    class L3_PROD
       loadbalance vip inservice
       loadbalance policy L7_PROD
       loadbalance vip icmp-reply active
    policy-map multi-match L3_OUTSIDE
    class L3_PROD
       loadbalance vip inservice
       loadbalance policy L7_PROD
       loadbalance vip icmp-reply active
    Many thanks
    Regards

    Hi Hidayat
yes, class map alone doesn't have any deep meaning and can be reused in many policy maps. Actually policy maps can be reused too, so in your particular example you can put the same policy map on 2 different interfaces. (Sometimes it's a good idea, if requirements are the same for traffic coming from both interfaces or if requirements are diffrent - it's better to create a new one, but class-map definitely can be reused.)
