Can't add user after login with KDM

Hi,
I start kdm in rc.conf with reboot and login as user I setup Arch linux. It seems this user name is not admin and can't add other users.
I may miss sth to do before I start KDE. What should I do?

The issue is I can't see any users and groups existing by "users and groups" tool under systems of menu.
Even I can add new user (this means I am admin), I can't change anything under "Login manager"
What I should do first.

Hi Gang,
I had a crash on Sunday and had to do an archive and install to get this computer back up and running.
It's a PowerBook G4 and I am running 10.4.
I reinstalled from my OS X 10.4 disc. After the install, the Login screen had none of my families user names. I had to go back to the disc and create a new password for a System Administrator.
I did a software update to OS X 10.11.
I am in now and can see the "Users" folder with everyone in it, but I can't figure out how to move it back into the system.

Hi Gang,
If you go to "Users" in System Preferences, and add the user with the same name, it found the user and asked me if I wanted to import the data.

Can't see Users after binding with Active Directory

Hi,
I have a clean install of Mountain Lion Server and I have bound it with Windows 2003 Servers Active Directory. All is working, but I can't see the Ad users in Server app so that I can't edit it.
I can see it only over Directory Utility.
Can anybody help me that I can see the AD Users in Server app so that I can edit it.
And knows anybody how to change the AD users home folder so that I can have it on my Mountain Lion server?

Glad to hear that you found how to edit page headers and footers in Numbers 3.2. I agree that Help in Numbers 3 is woeful. No searchable PDF to download and use offline. All is online (one page at a time) and we need to know the terms we are looking for before we look.

For printing to paper where layout is important, I use Numbers '09 (Numbers 2.3) with its Print View. But it is orphanware. As the name suggests, there has not been a major overhaul since 2009. With that in mind, it is a useful version to hang onto while we hope and wait (and provide feedback to Apple) for something in future versions of Numbers 3.x to provide better layout capability.
Indeed, each new update of Numbers 3.x has restored more of the old features while adding new features that are enhancements over Numbers '09. Many of the Numbers 3 enhancements reflect long-awaited wishes through this forum, and were passed on by Numbers Feedback to Apple. So it seems that Apple does take heed of feedback.
In the meantime, I enjoy the charm of Numbers '09 whilst exploring the new features of Numbers 3.

ISE and AD.. Users Cant login with domain credentials after changing password

Hello guys,
I have ISE 1.2 running in a live environment. I have a problem that users cant login after password has expired and changed. i have enabled password change under AD settings and have also checked the allow password change in the allowed protocols settings for PEAP with retries set to 3.

Problem:Member is Read only Mode after login with other user

I am facing problem to enter the data in member. i.e Read only. but same member is fine with login with admin user.
I also assign the security with write permission to user. but the only that member "X" is in read only mode..
Is task list can effect on that??? as i am also using task list. Becoz when i add another member that is not member of that hirechiary its fine.

Thanks, Problem has been solved myself becoz when i add new member in the form as this form is already part of Planning Unit Hierarchy , that's why the newly added member in the form can't be write only till up to when u add this member into Planning Unit Hierarchy.

Active Directory and 10.8 Server: Can't add users

I would be most appreciative of any help you folks can give a Mac user at a predominantly Windows/MS/Exchange Tier I university.
I bought a MacMini to act as the departmental File server to allow a granular level of permissions on folders for faculty, administration, residents and students. The students and residents rotate in yearly or for 2 years at a time.
The problem has become when I try and add users from the IT ActiveDirectory domain. The IT folks set-up the DNS, gave it a static IP address etc. all correctly.
The MacMini was also bound to AD in Sys Prefs > Users & Groups > Login Options > Network Account Server to the domain.
There are over 200,000 users in the university system. When I try and search for a user in the Users sidebar it pulls up a completely random list of users and lists "500+ users" next to the buttons. When I try and search for a user, invariably it fails. Furthermore, there is the term "Not Allowed" next to the names of all the random AD users.
What am I doing wrong?
The Sys Admin guy I spoke with said the only way he could figure it out was to go to Groups sidebar, create a new group and add the user that way.
The whole premise for this is to allow the users the same login ID and PWD they do for every other service on campus. That's it. I then want to be able to control folder permissions directly on the MacMini. Is this possible or do I need to use Open Directory in conjunction with AD?
Any help for this formerly Apple Power User would be greatly appreciated.

This is a Jabber-ism I think.
You get this if you are using UDS and the users you are trying to add aren't CUPS-enabled.
You probably also get it if the users are from LDAP and aren't CUPS enabled.
CUPC by comparison allows manual contact creation as well as adding of non CUPS people.

Can't add files after upgrading

Last night I upgraded to the latest version if iTunes after being prompted to do so. Everything was fine until I tried to add some more music to my library.
I go to File > Add Folder To Library, select the folder I want to add, and iTunes -LOOKS- like it is adding the files. I see the box that says "Processing: XXX - XXX.mp3" and when that goes away, the files are not in iTunes.
I can not add folders, or single files. I have tried repairing my install of iTunes, uninstalling and reinstalling, and still cannot add files. Any help would be WONDERFUL!

As I said before it is not that straight forward.If you will decompile tcViewProfileAction .class using any java decompiler you will find out that data in setAccountProfile method is not getting set through formmetadata.xml . If you are well verse with struts then only you can achieve what you are trying to do.You need to extend tcViewProfileAction class and also tcViewProfileForm class and then you need to modify tjspViewProfileTiles.jsp .It will not be easy job.Usually in implementation we do not change action class until its absolutely required as oracle also do not recommend that so now its between you and your client to make a call if they want to go for such customization.I won't recommend you do that.

GNOME 3.16: Crash after login with GDM

Hi all,
I've just upgraded to GNOME 3.16, but unfortunately it wasn't completely successful. After I login with GDM, I get the "Oh no! something has gone wrong" screen, with logout the only option. Funny thing is: when I press the super-key, I have a working GNOME shell. I can even start programs like nautilus and firefox. But the error screen is in my view.
