Can't Airprint  with HP Airprint printer

My iPad 2 (ios 5.1) recently stopped printing on an HP Laserprint P1102w (which is an Airprint printer).  It was printing fine for months.  Now, when I try to print, it cannot find the printer.  My Macbook Air and iMac continue to print remotely (via WiFi) with no problem.  The router is an Airport Extreme.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you,

That could be the problem.  But I have never been able to find the printer queue.  Supposedly, "print center" appears only when in the process of printing.  But that's not possible because I can't get to that, can't even locate the printer.  I don't know what the "multitask bar" is.  And I've never seen an Airport icon, that is, on the ipad.  Of course, I have Airport Utility on my iMac and Macbook Air.  Can you help me with this?
Reveal the task bar as pjl123 described.  If you see an icon of a printer, that's the Airprint Icon.  Tap it to show the print jobs and cancel any if needed.

  • Can an airprint printer be shared by a usb connected iMAC?

I have a first generation intel iMAC running OSX 10.6.8, a new retina display iPad and an airport extreme. If I get an Airprint enabled printer, can the iPad share the same printer as the iMAC which would be USB connected?

    No.

  • Can you help with wireless usb printing?

I have a D-Link router ([DI-824VUP) that works fine as far as geting online and printing to an ethernet printer,(HP1300n) wirelessly. I recently bought this router because it has a usb printer port, yet I can not get it to see the usb printer (Canon S830D). D-Link was no help, as they don't support Apple wireless printing, even though they do support wired printing via their router. QUESTION-any idea how to get powerbook to see the printer when connected to the router? Printer setup utility does not see it, only the HP. Thanks-bobbabe

Because this forum software is so absolutely USELESS now, you don't get to see the whole of the question in this view. In the other (non-list) view it says:
"can you help with a technical problem with the stereo imagery option ? it won't take out lead vocal in a stereo mp3"
And the answer is that if you can't isolate the vocal in the stereo field, or it is one of these odd ones where it's used inverted polarity in different parts of the stereo signal for the same vocal, then you won't be able to. But without a sample, it's impossible to tell. If you can post a link to one, that might help. It has to be external to this site though - Adobe in their infinite wisdom don't allow the posting of audio files on their audio U2U forum. Helpful, that, isn't it?

  • Can an AirPrint Device be set up on Windows then used on an iPad?

I have just bought a Samsung Xpress 2022W printer. It works a treat on AirPrint. A friend has a new iPad Air but has a Windows laptop. Can an AirPrint printer be set up on a Windows laptop and then work with an iPad? (like iTunes)

An AirPrint printer is merely a printer that already has the technology built into it in order to print using an iOS device so that the device does not need to have printer drivers installed. Those same printers can be used with laptop or desktop computers by installing the printer software that comes with the printer.
I have an HP PhotoSmart 7520 that is an AirPrint printer and it works with all of our iPads, iPhones, and MacBook Pro computers that we have in out house - 9 total devices. It works wirelessly with all of them.
The printer should work with Windows PC's or Mac computers as well. My printer does.

I've reviewed all network, printer, phone settings

If it is not compatible then you will need to look at the appstore to find something compatible to be able to print.

  • Can't print to airprint printer with iDevice

Suddenly, I can't print to my HP Laser Jet CM1415fnw AirPrint printer with any of my iPhones or iPads.  Says can't find printer.  The printer works fine from the PC.  It is setup as a wireless printer.  I am using a D-Link DIR-655 router.  Can anyone help?

Adjust the router's wireless channel to accommodate the printer. Try channel 6, 9, 11, or 1. If you're using WEP security, change it to WPA/WPA2. Most routers nowadays work better with WPA/WPA2 security encryption.

  • I have an airport extreme with a USB printer attached (non-airprint).  Can i print from my ipad?

I have an airport extreme with a USB printer attached, it is a non airprint printer.
I can print via my network from my desktop but I want to know if i can print from my ipad 2 and ipad 1

Printing from an iPad or iPhone
To print directly from an iPad you need an AirPrint - enabled printer on the same wireless network as the iPad. All AirPrint printers are wireless but not all wireless printers are AirPrint-enabled.
If you do not have an AirPrint printer, a number of workarounds exist that enable the use of any printer you normally use, even older ones that may predate AirPrint by decades. Search for the following products:
    handyPrint (Mac only, donation-supported)
Printopia (Mac only, $19.95 with free trial)
These are utilities you install on the Mac you normally use for printing, enabling it to act as an AirPrint print server. The Mac must be "on" but may be asleep for them to work. The iPad needs nothing else, no iOS apps need to be installed and no configuration is necessary. If your computer can print, so can the iPad, using one of these utilities on your Mac.
Equivalent utilities may exist for PCs but I have no experience with them - I suggest https://www.collobos.com
You can also buy this standalone hardware print server, bypassing the need for a computer altogether:
    http://www.lantronix.com/it-management/xprintserver/xprintserver.html
Otherwise you will need to buy an AirPrint printer or multifunction device.

  • HT4356 can i airprint to my airprint printer remotely, with ipad, from another wifi connection or only when i am within my own network?

can i airprint to my airprint printer remotely, with ipad, from another wifi connection or only when i am within my own network?

Air print, and the normal hp airprint set up requires that the pad and the printer be on the same wifi net work.  The 'connecting' is done by your router.  That means remote printing wont work with the out of the box stuff.  I think you might find some 3rd party apps that do support remote  printing, but i have not seen any reports from users that found a really good solution.  Print n share reads like it might work, i am sure some users will chime in.

  • Can you print with a non-airprint printer?

Can I print from my ipad with an wireless printer and an apple app or do I have to have an air printer?

It depends on the printer and if it is shared on your home network.
I have a wireless HP printer, but it is not an E Printer and cannot print directly from my mobile device.  I purchased an Epson all in one E Printer so that I could print from my tablet.  THe printer cost me less than $90 at Walmart.

You will need to install an App like Print Central on the iPad to try to print to the printer. It will allow you to print to most printers. Check with their support folks if you need more info.

How can I AirPrint in a Kodak printer?

There aren't currently any Kodak printers that support AirPrint - only the printers that are listed on this page support AirPrint.  You could see if Kodak have their own app in the app store that supports your printer, or there are third-party printer apps such as Print n Share and PrintCentral Pro which might work with it.

It's not one of the printers that is listed on this page as being AirPrint enabled, and it doesn't look like HP's ePrint app supports it either. You could try a third-party printer app such as Print Central For iPad or Print n Share to see if they work with it.
