Can't always hide an application

From time to time, I find that I cannot Hide an application (menu "Application" -> Hide "Application" is greyed out and Apple-H doesn't work). I cannot find any pattern. Most of the time it is OK, but this happens occasionally with both Apple and third party applications. Often, the App in question starts to behave again some time later.
Does anyone have any thoughts as to the cause, and how can I clear it if it happens.

I have a partially downloaded app I want to delete it.It is grey in colour and does not tremble when pressed what can I do?

Unfortunately system design has short of this function. If users are allowed to run those queries, you can not hide the query structure.

After hiding them on your Mac's iTunes try logging out of your account on your phone and then log back into it.

How can I find out what application is using bandw...

I've noticed recently there is a constant active internet connection on my phone. If I disconnect it in connection manager it just starts again but I can't figure out which application on my phone is causing this as there is nothing running in the open applications window but I know alot of apps can hide now.
Is there any way to find out what needs this constant connection?

Hello, dear brothers in arms...I have exactly the same problem with my new Nokia C7.
It is connecting to WLAN automatically less then a minute after I disconnect it !
I have set as follows: Menu->Settings->Connectivity -> Settings:
Switch to WLAN: MANNUAL
Data use in home country: ALWAYS ASK
Data use when abroad: ALWAYS ASK
and however, it is trying to connect all the time.
When at home - it stays connected to my home WLAN (despite all the disconnections I make manually).
When out of coverage of my home WLAN - giving reports "Connection failed" every few minutes.
Of course the battery lasts not more then a day.
Have double checked - my email boxes are set on "Sync frequency: MANNUAL SYNC ONLY"
I did not set any application for any automatic actions...
Any idea how to control this smarty?

Sticky hide show - application

Dear all,
I justed installed the sticky hide show - application to take advantage of the ajax and dhtml logic, but when I try to run the application or single pages I always get the ORA-01722: invalid number error message and I don't know the reason for that. My apex version is compatible with this demo version.

Hi. Sorry post not clear - is exactly the same issue - get 'ORA-01722: invalid number'. on one ApEx installation but not on another. In fact this applies to the demo app that downloads from OTN for the sticky windows as well as our app after adding the "sticky" functionality.
Mentioned page 101 as this is a system generated page (easily allows reproduction of the error in a test app) and this localises the 'ORA-01722 error in the process added as part of the sticky show-hide implementation. The only element of the "sticky" implemented by this point in the (first) app page is the application process triggered at page "On Load". See my post:

then run it, you get the error on page 101, followed by the process error
message inserted for the SHOW_HIDE_OUTPUT "On Load" process. This
implies the problem is in the show_hide_collection_output procedure in the
package.You can check out the show_hide_collection_output procedure in the package using the apex object browser or sql*developer - its the one called at the point the error is generated.. The installed package supporting the sticky implementation is called "show_hide_memory"

Iweb installed on a new computer but i have this error message: Can't open file "~/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain.sites2."

I have just installed ilife on my new computer from my disk. I have several backups of my webpage from my old computer. Everything would be great if I could just run the program. When I click the icon for iWeb I get the following message: Can’t open file “~/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain.sites2.”
Somebody please help! I desperately need to update my website.

In Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
To open your domain file in Lion or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.
do shell script "/usr/bin/defaults write com.apple.iWeb iWebDefaultsDocumentPath -boolean no"delay 1
tell application "iWeb" to activate
Just launch the application, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
You can download an already compiled version with this link: iWeb Switch Domain.
WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder. So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.

Why can I not hide iPhone and iPad app purchases made from my iTunes account using the Mac version of iTunes?

I have applications on my iPhone and iPad that I don't want to show up on the family sharing menu (i.e., kid inappropriate stuff). When I follow the instructions from apple support for hiding apps, my iPhone and iPad apps cannot be "X-ed" out by hovering the mouse over the app icons in iTunes. Why can't I hide these?

You should be able to hide them, it's just that the 'x' is invisible (I assume that it's a bug with the current version of iTunes) - click on the app's top left corner where the 'x' should be, and it should become hidden.

I want to hide an application so that it doesn't show up on the iPhone (4S w/ iOS 6.1) or on the Apps screen when I sync my iPhone to the computer. I used to be able to do this before the upgrade. Is there a way?

Before I upgraded to iOS 6, there was a way to hide an application on my phone. When you did this is only showed up in Featured Apps in the App Store and specifically, would only appear in "Hidden Apps". Also, the app wouldn't show up at all on my device when I sync to the computer. I can't figure out how to hide an app anymore. Can anyone help? Oh and I'm talking about purchased apps...not the ones that come standard with the iPhone.

Events are organised strictly on date and time, as read by iPhoto from the Exif data in the Photo. You cannot manually sort.
Create Albums. You can do much more organising with Albums, use Photos from different events, place them as you will. Best of all, Albums use no disk space at all. They simply reference the file on the Hard Disk. So a pic can be 1, 10 or 100 Albums with no wasted disk space whatever.

Configure "Always hide forms document message bar" and "Do not show edit warnings" for all users?

We need to do a mass deployment of Adobe Reader XI 11.0.3 with "Always hide forms document message bar" preference setting automatically set for every user so they do not have to go through the menu and set it manually.
Is there a way to configure this for all users with the customization wizard or another method?
We also need to do the same for "Do not show edit warnings"
If these are registry keys, which registry keys set these options?

If that doesn't work and there's a configuration item in the preferences UI, do this:
Get regshot.
Close everything but Acrobat/Reader.
Take a reg shot.
Configure the setting via the UI.
Tak another reg shot.
Compare the two.
That process will give you your answer.
If there is no corresponding pref in the UI, then you probably can't do it.

Can you add and erase applications?

i am a new iphone user. i previously had a treo 650 and loved it. i used a solitaire game i had on my treo to help me fall asleep as it is so mindless, my brain would rather sleep than be that bored! i have seen many web apps for the iphone, but am not sure if any of these can be added to my applications i see when i touch my home button.
is it possible to add applications? and is it possible to delete apps that i don't use, like youtube, stocks and clock?

Can't find iWeb in application support

Using iWeb 3.0.4 for website on mobileme. The site still exists but my files are gone. Tried using Time machine but iWeb doesn't show up when I go to Mackintosh HD/Library/Application Support/. Any suggestions

You can use 'File Attachment' option in the form which will allow the user to attach documents to the application.
