Can't Always Synchonise Outlook Notes, Calendar No...

Hi,
Sorry if this is a re-post. I've done a search and can't seem to find anyone else who's asked this.
I have PCsuite 6.86.9.3 and a new Nokia E61i. I am trying to synchronise to Outlook 2003 SP3 on Windows XP Professional 2002 SP2.
Mostly, synchronisation works as expected. However, if I change an existing Note on the E61i, I cannot seem to synchronise that to the PC. Changes going the other way (ie made on the PC) synchronise OK. I can create Notes on either system and that works.
To reproduce the problem, do the following:
1. Create a note on the PC eg "this is a test note".
2. Synchronise & confirm the note is on the handset.
3. On the handset add another line, eg "this was typed on the handset"
4. Synchronise. At this point, the note in outlook says just "this is a test note". The log in both the handset and PC acknowledge the note has changed.
I would be interested if anybody else is seeing this behaviour. In other words, is it just me, or is the sync behaving how Nokia intended?
Note that the same result occurs for Calendar entries - just the "description" field as the handset calls it. Any other field will synchronise either way correctly.
Although I only tested once, I believe I got the same result for the "Note" in a contact as well.
The results are identical for USB and Bluetooth synchronisations.
Any comments would be appreciated!
Bill

I have the exact same behaviour!
I have a 6110 Navigator, XP SP2 and Outlook 2003.
To clearify on the heading a bit we should say that it NEVER synchronises these "notes" in the direction from the phone back to Outlook.
I have now updated to PC Suite 7.0.7.0 and still have the same problem.
I have sent bug reports to Nokia about this but no solution has surfaced.
Can anybody conform that they have this working and if so with what Outlook version?
I have syncronisation enabled in both directions and when I check in the sync report on the PC, the sync program clearly lists the changed notes as updated but they never make it to Outlook.

  • How can I get missing contacts, notes, calendar dates and reminders that are just on my old iphone onto the iCloud for transfer to my new iPhone upgrade?

    Dear wise & wondeful people:
How can I get missing contacts, notes, calendar dates and reminders that are just on my old iphone onto the iCloud for transfer to my new iPhone upgrade? Half of my contacts, notes, ect. were on my iCloud so have happily moved to my new iPhone but the rest are completely resistant. For example, on my iCloud I have 14 missing contacts starting with the letter A alone, however they are happily viewable on my old iPhone 4S and won't budge over into the iCloud.
There are also 3 notes missing yet still acessible on my onld iPhone 4S, the list goes on.
Your help would be most appreciated. Thank you so much.

Nokia C3- Can I Sync my Lotus Notes Calendar with Nokia C3 Calendar?

    I have done that!
I use Nokia PC Suite 7.1.51.0, Lotus Notes 7.0. Nokia C3.
    In the Nokia PC Suite,
    under Sync, Settings,
    Calender - Server: Local,
    Calender - Filename: mail\<yourname>.nsf
After sync, go to your Lotus Notes Database, double click your Local.
On the Left pane (note that it is not the Shortcuts on the most Left of Lotus Notes), Click on the word Mail for <your name> (which is right above your Inbox, Drafts, etc...), you will see Switch to  Calendar, from there you find all your calendars data.

  • How can I synchronize my Lotus Notes calendar?

    Hi
I bought the Nokia E72 to have a good phone for business and work. Since 1 week my Lotus Notes calendar could not be synchronized any more. PC Suite issues a lot of warnings (item xyz cannot be inserted on the phone's calendar) but these messages are not useful. So I de-installed PC Suite and installed the Ovi Suite, but what is this? I cannot see how to synchronize my Lotus Notes calendar?! The menu items says that Microsoft Outlook is supposed to be installed, but sorry, this is not my company's organizer system.
So please tell me how to synchronize my company's calendar with my E72 via the OVI suite because this is a crucial feature.

I have been with Nokia for a few years and have been happily synching my Notes Calendar.  I was asked to "upgrade" to OVI and was stunned to discover that the Calendar function is no longer available.  This considerably reduces the attractiveness of my Nokia phone!  I will try to install the old version of the PC Suite and hope I can continue working with that indefinitely.

  • Help! Can't Migrate Contacts (w/notes) & Calendar from OS10.4.11

    I'm at my wits end.
I spoke with Applecare support and the Genius Bar but no one is able to help with a solution.
I've owned Macs for 20 years but I have an old Desktop G5 (PPC) running OS 10.4.11 purchased immediately before the Intel transition ...that machine had a death sentence from the moment I purchased it.
I recently purchased a Macbook Pro Retina 13" (late 2013) and I need to move my data from the G5 to the new Macbook.
    On my G5:
-I have all my addresses and contact info in Apples 'Address Book' application version 4.0.6
-I have all my appointments and records of appointments on Apple's iCal application version 2.0.5.
As there is no migration support in Mavericks to use with my G5 I've tried exporting vfiles from the Address book an importing the vfile into Contacts. It does import, but unfortunately it strips out ALL of the data in the 'notes' section of each contact entry. I have hundreds of contacts with lots of data in the note field which has now vanished.  If I have to go manually, entry by entry, and copy this data over to the Macbook it would take forever and would be easier to forgo the  computer but instead use a card catalogue filing system like was used in the 1960s. Applecare says they do not know how to do this import operation. Gahhh!
I have the same issue with iCal. I have well over a decade's worth of events and notes recorded therein. I was told by Applecare that Mavericks will import the calendars, but only in one mass lump ... that is to say my distinct and individual calendars for business, medical, legal, etc. etc. will not be retained. Gahhh!
This is becoming a huge problem and instead of making my life easier it feels like using Macintosh is complicating things. My life is now in limbo fractured between two computers with different OS. My Macbook is useless to me as I cannot access the data I need to access with it. So now, I have two computers and my life is getting schizophrenic with a divide created. As the days and weeks and months progress it's going to become harder to bridge this and synchronize things ... I'll have two separate computing systems, used for different tasks.
I've been struggling with this for a few weeks with my new Macbook purchase. To make matters worse, I leave for Nepal in two days, for 4 months. I bought the Macbook for this trip but I cannot import my data into it. I'm at my wits end and deeply disappointed with Apple's lack of support.
If there an easy and reasonable way to do what I want to do?
Thanks a bunch for any assistance.

By any chance are you running any Eset security software products (like Nod32) on that PC?
If so, there's a couple of alternatives.
Either try the procedure in Samoreen's post:
Re: iTunes 11.1.4.62 freezes while syncing with Outlook
Or, see if you can get hold of the Eset beta addressing the problem. As Samoreen notes in another post:
ESET have a workaround for this issue. They gave me access to a test version of the HIPS module and this fixed the problem. So I could re-enable the ESET_OPTIONS environment variable (although I still consider that it's a questionable idea). I upgraded to iTunes 11.1.5.5 and there was no problem.
So maybe you should get in touch with ESET support and request the new module ? Just send a message to Marcos in the ESET forum.

  • How can I get my outlook exchange calendar to sync with icloud

Hello, I am trying to sync my outlook exchange calendar to icloud with my wife's calendar in ical from her Mac.  Thus far I have been unable to get my Outlook calendar in icloud.  Also having trouble getting my wifes ical from the Mac onto her iphone?  I'm pretty computer savvy but this one is stumping me.  I am trying to do it with out a third party calendar app, but I am open to suggestions so long as my exchange calendar for work will sync seamlessly.
    Many thanks.

You can go into the settings, iCloud and enable calendar syncing on both devices.

  • Can't sync to Outlook 2003 Calendar

As of today, I cannot get information from my BlackBerrycalendar into Microsoft Outlook.  This is new:  for the last year it was not a problem.
I have a Curve 8300 series phone (Verizon) PIN 302AC62.  My operating system is Windows XPProfessional, and the application in question is Microsoft Office 2003, SmallBusiness Edition.
Yesterday, I downloaded and installed Blackberry Desktopsoftware v. 5.0.  After completing the installationand connecting the device, the software told me that there was new devicesoftware available, which I let it install. As far as I can tell, the phone works fine.  It was a long download late at night, but asI recall I was able to synchronize my data with Outlook.
Today, Microsoft Word was unable to load properly (this hadbeen a recurrent problem), so I did a complete uninstall and reinstall ofOffice 2003, including the deletion of all Outlook address book and calendarinformation.
I have >1400 addresses on my handheld, and >3600calendar entries in the device default calendar (but until now I have had nosynchronization problems).  Afterreinstalling Office, I configured the Blackberry software to do a one-waytransfer of data from the device to Outlook. The address data synced just fine, but the calendar data recognized onlyabout 12 out of 3600 records (all records are still on the device).
After trying multiple times and going through some of thereader forums on your Web site, the only change I could come up with was thatnow when I try to synchronize, the program does not seem to recognize ANYcalendar entries on the device.
Thinking that the desktop software v. 5.0 might either bebuggy or not backward-compatible with my device, I uninstalled it and did afresh install of v. 4.7.0.37 from your Web site.  The problem persists.  It is a huge problem for me.
This issue is on my home computer.  I will see what happens with my officecomputer tomorrow.
    Thanks!

Don't worry about taking up my time. If I didn't have it, I wouldn't be here on the computer trying to help. You are talking about a contacts folder in Outlook 2003? The address book is when you click on sending a new mail and then click on the To: Am I correct? I think you should try and export your pst file and then try opening the new file in Outlook and see if that will correct things. You might need to go to the Microsoft site to get help in how to import the file. I am using Outlook 2010 and cannot remember the exact commands that would help you. I cannot remember if it is under Tools or somewhere else for you to export the file. It could be under File, then Export if 2003. After you save that file, then go to file and open, and then navigate to the new file and see if that opens a new Outlook pst file for you. You can then try and sync with the new one and see if that works. I hope that helps, but trying to remember all of the commands can be difficult. I teach Microsoft Office and having to remember all of the new ones can be difficult enough!

  • How can I sync my Outlook 2010 calendar with Gmail Calendar now that Google Sync is no longer available

My iPhone 3 had been syncing fine with Outlook 2003 via Google Sync.  I recently had to reload my PC, wiped it and installed Outlook 2010 as part of the reload; when I tried to install Google Sync I learned it was no longer available for download after December 14th.....I did have it on another PC, moved it over but got an error message. So I am no longer able to make calendar changes on my iPhone and have them sync to Outlook or vise versa.  In addition my Google calendar is now empty....
Anyone know of a way to enable a sync between Google Calendar and Outlook 2010
Is there a way to add or import my Outlook Calendar to Google Calendar?
Why is all this stuff so complecated!??

no you can not do that. You can sync any web calendar that supports web dav to lightning, but Microsoft have chosen to not use the open standard and instead only offer a Microsoft Proprietary interface. Nothing new here though. They only offered a Microsoft Proprietary interface to download mail for many years. They call it innovation. I call it vendor lock in.
Interestingly enough you can sync office 365 calendar via OWA but not outlook.com

  • How can I sync my Outlook notes with my iphone

Can someone tell me how to sync my Outlook 2010 notes to my Iphone 5?  I have version 6.1.4.
I was able to use notes on both my PC and phone prior to upgrading to Iphone 5.  Since the upgrade I haven't been able to get it to work.  I have lots of notes in Outlook that I don't want to manually reenter in my phone.

I think I solved my problem. Contacts in Outlook have Notes section. I just created another set of contacts and rename that contact group "NOTES". I copied all my notes from notes folder in outlook to this new contact group and now my notes are syncing using exchange active sync just like my regular contacts. Problem solved without any third party application.

Do not hold your breath, it does not work any more with the BB10 and Link, you can only and in a limited way sync your contact and calendar to and from Outlook
Using the Playbook and the Z10 and the Z30 and loving them

  • My Outlook/iCloud calendar invites to others appear to work on my end and sync with my PC and mobile, but when other people "accept" the invite, it will not populate/add in to their calendar. How can i fix this without turning off iCloud?

My Outlook/iCloud calendar invites to others appear to work on my end and sync with my PC and mobile, but when other people "accept" the invite, it will not populate/add in to their calendar. How can I fix this without turning off iCloud?
I am at a new office that uses Outlook (not Outlook Exchange) which does not sync with my mobile... I just got iCloud set up on my PC to sync my contacts, calendar, reminders, etc... The sync worked (not without flaws, but the other issues seem solvable... I think), so that i can now see all my appointments on both my phone and on my PC. The problem I am having is that iCloud moved all of my calendar items from Outlook into iCloud calendar and now when I send out meeting/calendar invites the recipients may accept them, but the meeting does not get added to their calendar. This is a huge problem and may mean that i need to turn off iCloud.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
    Thanks!

I am replying to my own post here as I seem to have fixed the problem.
I do have some calendars that are shared. Some of those are shared with users who have time zone support turned on. So i activated time zone support on my iphone, then deleted my icloud subscription. I then signed in to icloud again and voila... problem solved.
It is a weird one as the other calendar views were always fine and when you opened an event that appeared in the wrong day (on list view), the correct date of the event was shown in the information...
one more bug in a complicated system I guess
