Can't attach jpegs to e-mails after downloading Adobe Camera Raw 6.7

I just downloaded an Adobe Camera Raw 6.7 plug in so that I can use my new camera with photoshop cs-5. Now whenever I save a JPEG and try to attach to an e-mail, the email programs (I've tried several) won't attach it

One has nothing to do with the other. No ACR update would stop you from "Attaching" images, any kind of image, JPG or any RAW image or any file of any type, to an Email.

Close and restart Photoshop if you have not already done so.
In Photoshop, go to the Help - About Plug-in... menu then choose Camera Raw.  What version does it say there?

Yes. Try the Photoshop forum at Photoshop General Discussion
This is the forum for the free Adobe Reader.

  • I recently purchased a camera that creates RAW files not currently acceptable to my PS CS5I downloaded Adobe Camera RAW 6.7 but can't get it to process my RAW files.

I am on a Mac running OS 10.9.5.  I run Photoshop CS5 12.1 x64. When I tried to download AdobeCamerRaw -6.7 I got a message the AdobePatchinstaller couldn't be opened because the identity of the developer cannot be confirmed.  I then changed the settings in my system preferences to permit the opening of the AdobePatchinstaller.  I then closed bridge and phootshop, restarted them, but no luck.  When I view my images in Bridge I see the thumbnails of my jpg images, but instead of thumbnails of the RAW images I just get a a thumbnail that says RAW and a picture of a jewelers loop over a couple of snapshots. I used Grab to capture that logo-like thumbnail, but can't get it into this page.

What brand and model of camera do you have?

  • Can I skip "Complete Toning in Adobe Camera Raw"

I select some pictures in Lightroom and then choose Edit In -> Photoshop HDR Pro. If I choose 32 Bit, there is an option box for "Complete Toning in Adobe Camera Raw". If I do NOT check this box, am I losing something? That is, if I want to do all of the exposure adjustment, etc. in Lightroom, then can I just click "OK" with "Complete Toning in Adobe Camera Raw" unchecked?
    Thanks,
    David

No, not at all.  This is the correct method for creating 32 bit images to edit in Lightroom.  Just convert to 32 bit - leave Complete toning in ACR Unchecked and save the resulting 32 bit Tiff back into Lightroom

Bridge will do the job. View > Sort > ByType. Then you can choose a group of one type and put the files in a separate folder.

  • Can't open a JPEG in Adobe Camera RAW 4.3.1

I'm trying to open a jpg file from bridge to ACR using the cmnd+r combination and nothing happens.
I can only view jpg files in ACR when I apply changes to them in Lightroom. Then I just double click on them (or cmnd+o) and they open in Adobe Camera RAW.
    Anyone can help?
    I'm using OS X 10.5.2

In Bridge > Preferences > Thumbnails I've enabled the checkbox that says:
"Prefer Adobe Camera Raw for JPEG and TIFF files"
In Photoshop > Preferences > File Handling > File Compatibility I've enabled the checkbox that says:
"Prefer Adobe Camera Raw for JPEG Files"
In ACR > Camera Raw Preferences > JPEG and TIFF Handling I have enabled the checkboxes that says:
"Always open JPEG files with settings using Camera Raw"
"Always open TIFF files with settings using Camera Raw"
    What I'm I doing wrong?

  • Can't connect to my LG NAS after downloading LION

    Hi all - first post.
Can't connect to my LG NAS after downloading LION. Basically thats it, since downloading Lion for some reason I can't access my NAS. Anyone got any suggestion

I have the same problem with my Conceptronic CH3HNAS and have found a free and easy solution.
Since a lot of people report they are able to access their NAS using apps other than the Finder itself, I decided to look for a free Lion-compatible File Manager to use instead of Finder.
I have found muCommander ( http://www.mucommander.com/ ) and indeed it works fine. All I did was click on the button highlighted bellow, go to "bonjour services" and select my NAS. It prompted me for my username and password and voilá, it works fine.
I keep Finder for everyday use and just load muCommander when I want to access the NAS. At least now I don't have to start my WinXP VM anymore just to access it.
    Hope it helps you.

  • Bridge CS6 bad preview after adjustment in Adobe Camera Raw 7.0

    Hi,
when i update camera raw from 6.5 to 6.6 the preview can`t give me right preview only after 1 or more adjustments in adobe camera raw (yes, "Always High Quality"and "Generate Preview-Size Previews").
Image apears and stays like when we open it in camera raw in the first few seconds with the yellow exclamation mark.
Months ago the only solution i found after several reinstals of phoshop, was to turn back to camera raw 6.5.
Now im trying beta bridge cs6 and problem come back for me again.
    I use Nikon D3x with 14 bits ~49MB .nef files with Windows 7 64 bits .
Is any one have same problem? And why only in 6.6 (and new camera raw 7.0) and not in 6.5?
    Thanks
    Arménio Teixeira

When I saved a image to my desktop and wanted to open in Preview so I could do some altra fast tweeks like add sepia and then resaved it came up that I didn't have aothourization to save changes.  I then as suggested went to finder - get info - and unlocked the file and entered the desktop password when prompted and closed but it still won't save the changes. I don't want to change it to open as a PS file because it is a JPEG and takes allot of effort when preview cnages under tools color is so efficient.  Other suggestions to try?

  • Adobe Camera Raw (ACR), Jpeg Files and Metadata

I have been using Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) with my Canon EOS 30D, an 8 MP camera, for a while now. I would make non-destructive changes to the raw file (.CR2) in ACR where the changes would be stored in an adjoining .xmp file. Jpegs of the unedited and edited camera raw files would be created so I have a before and after versions of the images that can be viewed anywhere.
Now I have a Canon EOS 5D Mark III, a 22 MP camera and the raw files are much larger. I’m looking at using camera raw on jpeg files for some for my more casual photo shoots in order to save disk space. From what I have read, I can use ACR on jpeg files and that the changes would be stored in the metadata in the jpeg file. Is there a way for the changes to be stored in an adjoining .xmp file so that the original jpeg file is not modified, much like it is done with the .CR2 files?
I am using Adobe Photoshop CS5 on a Windows 7 machine. All software is up-to-date.
Also, I have found that Adobe’s camera raw handing is different than the raw handling of the photos using Canon’s software (DPP). Is there a way to make ACR closer to what Canon’s software does?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Probably not going to happen.
I agree, Canon's color is better than Adobe's in general - I just didn't know how good the Camera Standard profile might be for your particular camera.  I had hoped maybe they'd made it a very close match.
Some time ago I got a very nice genius-level Camera Raw forum member named Vit to make me a custom profile that exactly matches the Canon color for my 40D, even to the point of emulating the way Canon fits the entire gamut of the captured image into the sRGB color space, so I'm more than happy.
Others might tell you that you're silly for wanting the color to match, but I understand completely your position - if you do get that kind of feedback just ignore it and push on.
Once you've set up a default to use Camera Standard, you may well be able to tweak the dozens of color controls to bring the Adobe default into line with the Canon color.  I did that once before getting my special 40D profile, comparing embedded raw file JPEGs with the Camera Raw preview display with a variety of images - it was tedious but effective.
    Best of luck.

  • Adobe Camera Raw - JPEGS - Do Not Auto Refresh

I use Adobe Camera Raw to edit my Jpegs. From my understanding, Jpeg editing in ACR is supposed to be DESTRUCTIVE - I do not see a sidecar XMP file created when I edit JPEGS.
However, the edits I make to JPEGs in ACR do not show up on the actual JPEG file.
As an example here are the steps I take.
    1) Right click on a JPEG and say "Open in Camera Raw"
    2) Desaturate the image so that it is totally black and white
    3) Click done - when I do this I notice that the image within the Adobe Bridge Browser is now in Black and White
    4) At this point, I want to verify that the actual image has been converted to Black and White. So I close down Adobe Bridge entirely. Then I navigate to the same directory using Windows Explorer (standard system file browser).
    5) My expectation is to see the same image with my ACR edits (i.e. Black and White). However, the image is still in color.
I have placed 2 screenshots online at
    http://www.trick-photography.com/acr/Screenshot1.JPG
    (Adobe Bridge after ACR edits)
    and
    http://www.trick-photography.com/acr/Screenshot2.JPG (Windows Explorer)
As you can see the image in Adobe Bridge is Black-and-White. However the actual image is not altered. I have tried to refresh thumbnails and images in both Adobe Bridge and Windows Explorer and that does not work.
In order to see my edits, I have to open the image in ACR and save it to a new folder. This takes lots of time, and I do not think this is the right way because JPEG editing is supposed to be DESTRUCTIVE in ACR.

Guess I have a different understanding. When you make an edit in ACR and click Done the original image is not modified, but the edits are retained. There is a round symbol placed in upper right corner that says the image has been modified, but the thumbnail displays the original image. If you open the image the modified version will display in ACR, and you can choose to open as is or modify further. So far this edit has been non-destructive.
However, when you make an edit in ACR and click Save Image the original image is modified and saved with new name and location of your choice. The thumbnail displays the modified image. This has been a destructive edit. I think this is the step you are looking for.
