Can't auto-retrieve MMS with iOS 4.0.1

My phone-number are provisioned for MMS and i can send without problems. But it refuses to auto-retrieve MMS. In stead i now get an SMS with info on how i can view the MMS "via web". Prior to my upgrade to 4.0.1 (directly from 3.(something)) it worked just fine. If i put my sim-card in another phone it works.
Anyone?

I can't se how that's going to help me as long as my carrier says everything looks fine "at their end", and as long as the SIM works in another iPhone, an HTC and an old Nokia.

Is on. As i can send MMS. It's only auto-retreiving MMS that fails.
I just restored the phone from "scratch" and skipped the "restore from backup"-part. A brand new setup. And the same thing still happens.
As of now it seems like the only option for me is to return my iPhone to service. Being without my iPhone for a few weeks is not what i want but ...

can you connect your device to Tiunes and check to see if there are any files in

Can't see shared printer with IOS 6 on ipad 3rd generation

I just upgraded my 3rd generation ipad to iOS 6.0 and now it won’t see the shared printers at my office. The printers are shared on a Mac mini server running OS X Server Lion 10.7.4. I can still see the shared printers and can print to them from a 3rd generation ipad with iOS 5.1.1.
Does anyone know what apple changed with iOS 6.0 that makes it where the shared printers aren’t showing up and what I might need to do to get them back working on my ipad with iOS 6.0?

iOS printing to a non-AirPrint printer is not supported. There's more information here: AirPrint 101
If you had iOS printing working through yout OS X Server then you must have had another piece of software running in the server emulating AirPrint. That software isn't compatible with iOS 6.

Can't syn music correctly with ios 8

Hi,
My music won't syn correctly with IOS 8 on my Iphone 4S. It only uploads certain songs and ignores everything else, some of which are not even ticked.
I've tried deleting the music, stopping and restarting sync as some postings suggest but with no luck. It looks like it is syncing properly and shows a reduced free memory figures, but when it finishes, the free memory increases again having left most of the songs off.
Any ideas please?

I also have this problem with 128 iphone 6 plus. Twice I have deleted all music from iphone in settings, then sync. The first sync after wiping all music is always successful (1502 songs). A second sync and music library is still intact/playable on phone. From the third sync on, iTunes randomly deletes some tracks (all songs not purchased thru iTunes). If I sync again, any missing tracks I have tried to play will be restored and it randomly deletes others. I also synced music after a clean ios8 restore (without restoring from a backup), thinking an ios7 setting might be the cause. Exact same symptoms. The same iTunes music library syncs to my ipad air (also running ios8) with no problem. Very frustrating indeed. I'm off to the "Genius" bar to see if they can help. At least lots of people are talking about this problem now, so hopefully a solution will emerge....

Can I share itunes library with iOS, without Home Sharing?

I have shared my library with my local network via preferences > sharing on my macbook. However, cannot see the shared library in my iOS device music app. Is it possible to access a shared library without having to set up Home Sharing? Perhaps a third party app can do it?

itunes has two different ways of sharing music
1) clicking on file , home sharing and turning on home sharing, and entering your apple id. this is required for iphone, ipods and ios devices you are only allowed to share to 5 computers this way. this allows you to import songs to your itunes client from your itunes server. and each compuer needs to be logged into your itunes account
2) clicking on itunes, preferences, clicking on share tab, and cicking on "share my library on my local nework " this will not allow itunes libraries to be shared with ipods, iphones or ios devices. itunes cleints will not be alllowed to important songs from your itunes server. however itunes clients do not have to be logged into apple at all. they don't even need to be authorized to play music. they will prompt for your itunes account if you try and play a song that has DRM, but if the music has no DRM they will play fine
your only allowed 5 computers associated with an apple id. upgrading your music collection to itunes plus or using itunes match #2 might be able to save your precious itunes computer slots

Since upgrading my iPhone to iOS the group mms option in settings>messaging has disappeared. My sister has the same problem with hers , they are separate iTunes accounts, anyone been able to rectify this

Thank you for your question. It sounds like you are missing the option to enable Group Messaging in Settings>Messages. If MMS Messaging is turned off in Settings>Messages, you won't have the option for Group Messaging. Try enabling MMS Messaging to enable the Group Messaging option.
Group messages will be sent using iMessage if all recipients have iMessage enabled. If not, the conversation will be sent as MMS. Group messages use MMS even if the content is text only.

I have a 3gs and ever time i try resotre the iphone using the newest version of itunes with the newest version of ios firmware i get the 1013 error. i have not edited the host file or anything. The error always comes at the very end of the restore. i need help!!!

Are you upgrading the firmware from iTunes? From Apple's web site:

Ever since I installed iOS 7.1 I get an error that says "can't contact server to get mail" (or something like that) but my mail comes regardless just fine. Should I be suspicious of iOS 7.1? If so, how can I reinstall 7.1?

You can't reinstall the iOS.
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
